This is the video I published on June 11, 2023... this time with a VoiceOver to help explain what is shown on the video. Mercedes-Benz EQS-580 with augmented heads up display as an option. It is my preferred option and I will require this option on any future car. In this very short video, I provide you a look at what the driver sees as the car (in cruise control) automatically changes lanes for you: 1) heads-up display off - the headlights project an arrow on the ground showing your lane change; 2) basic heads up display on - the car changes lanes, but there are no visuals to accompany the lane change; 3) augmented heads up display on - the heads up display projects a green arrow on the windshield for the driver to see the lane change.
This is just one of the features provided by the augmented heads up display. While obviously not a required safety feature, it is a helpful visual reminder of the car's actions and one I very much enjoy!
