On Christmas day we decided to head on the water to go out for a half-day session to go bottom fishing. It was fun to go holoholo, catching a "rare" fish, especially from the boat. Most people catch Kumu by going spearfishing and not so common on the boat. So to have the chance to catch my first one on a drop where I was just testing out a new rig idea. I was stoked! I just wanted to say a big thanks to Big Island Bait/Tackle for the support this year and it was awesome to use their lures. Also a shout out to FV Yolanda K. for being kind enough to call us back on the radio to catch Opelu. Have a good one!
