@Mask On but it aint for the Corona see, that's kind of the cool thing about MGSV; venom snake was just some medic and helicopter pilot who was brainwashed to believe that he was big boss. It was the legend of the man, not the man himself, that was important. Everybody believed that this no-name medic was the real big boss the whole time. Everything venom did got attributed to the real big boss even though he was halfway across the world doing other stuff at the time. Ocelot was in on the facade, sure, but for all intents and purposes venom snake's true identity didn't matter. I think it's fair to assume that big boss did some important stuff too, between the events of MGSV and metal gear 2, and ocelot probably worked with him there as well. Weird that ocelot didn't get mentioned at all, though. So you're definitely right; I'll amend my previous statement to include that even though ocelot is in a better position to know exactly what big boss was capable of, he was very likely also referencing the character of "big boss" that had been built over the decades.

Ocelot knew the most about what made Big Boss a legend. He and his unit got their asses thoroughly and single handedly handed to them along with an acute explanation of why and how it happened when he met him for the first time😂

Retcon. Originally, he likely was referring to Solid Snake's legend. As the lore was developed his statement here can now be interpreted to mean Big Boss instead. I doubt they had the entire lore of the series laid out way back in 1998.

@@filipeflower If you only count the metal gear "solid" games and forget the first two metal gear games on the msx2 then yes, he is the first boss. And if you consider mgs4 as the "final" game (as it is the end of snake's story, MGS5 being a prequel), then he's the last boss.

However, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance takes place 4 years after Metal Gear Solid 4 (2018) and I believe Hideo Kojima himself confirmed that game as canon. Therefore, the very final Boss would be...Senator Armstrong.

Anyway yeah, I forgot to also exclude metal gear rising: revengence, since it's not really a part of snake's story and it doesn't have the word ''solid'' in the title (the latter reason being why I didn't include the msx2 games since, despite being part of snake's story, they don't have ''solid'' in the title either). But yeah, if you count all the games, the last boss is armstrong. However, if you chronoligically take all the metal gear games that features ''snake'' (counting big boss), which excludes rising by default, then the last boss in mgs4 is Ocelot (well, ''liquid'' Ocelot, but you know) while the first boss in mgs3 (the chronologically ''1rst'' game) is also Ocelot. So it still works if you get overly technical like me.

I honestly wasn’t a fan of twin snakes, I feel the original game on ps1 was way more tense without all this overdramatized cinematic crap, plus the music was so much better

You can still play the game without using First-Person View for standart weapons. That's how I did it.

There is so much bullshit added in the twin snakes version I actually prefer the psx version by a landslide.

It would probably be best to find some sort of middle ground, seeing how the audio and model quality between this and the original are so different.
