I swear to God I would not be surprised to find out that Lebron commissioned this series, in particular the next chapter, as his response to The Last Dance - cannot think of a production team more capable of putting together a rival masterpiece. GG as always, Secret Base 👏🏼

The Wilkens/Price/Daugherty Cavs are kind of a forgotten squad in history. The 1989 team tied the Lakers for the second-best record in the NBA, but also had the best point differential in the league (+7.6). The 1992 team also tied Portland for the second-best record in the NBA at 57 wins. I think they get forgotten because they didn't have the year-to-year consistency of teams like Portland, Phoenix, Utah, etc., and their best ever pre-LeBron squad got bounced in the first round. Also, not sure it was said in the video, but their regular-season record against Chicago in 1989 was 6-0. When Jordan said they'd win in 4 games, it was almost like Brandon Jennings' "Bucks in six," if only Brandon Jennings was an All-NBA caliber player.

You can tell how much Seth just loves the sport the way he talks about all these other teams that are rivals of his own Fanhood. It's just a good way to look at a sport, appreciate greatness and become invested in its storylines and history. Love this channel

This series is turning out to be fun. Who would've thought I'd be getting into Cavs history. With that said I love those Price, Daugherty Cavs teams, because like the LJ, Mugsy Hornets or Shawn Kemp, they're a part of your basketball childhood.

Absolutely loving this series as a life long Cavs fan in his 20s who didn't get to witness any basketball before Lebron James and doesn't really know the history behind those early Cavs teams. Can't wait for the next chapter to come out

Holy crap this was a great part 2! The ending where it starts to talk about LeBron growing up not so far from Cleveland, very thrilling and got me excited for part 3.

Oh my GOD this so good. Like, "should be featured on every existing sports network" - good. Like, "I was on the edge of my seat to the point I almost fell into my monitor" - good. Like, "I have to rewatch both of the first two chapters again right before watching the next one" - good. Y'all are insane and I hope you get ALL of the attention with this incredibly written, voiced, and animated quality content. I'm a big, homegrown CLE sports fan that never really appreciated the Cavs' history so this helps a LOT (really only got interested in the Browns about 5 or 6 years ago, and now intently watch/listen to everything NFL). I was always under the assumption that the Cavs were always this middling team that never truly rose to greatness because I never really paid attention to the NBA. But this deep dive has been incredible and probably the most entertaining sports documentary I've ever seen; and this alone is getting me interested into paying attention to the NBA, and namely the Cavs. To be clear, I've always paid attention to and appreciated CLE teams, but because of the volatility of the NBA and recent influx of superteams (Heat, Warriors, Nets), it just never seemed interesting enough to watch because the season just seemed to be a forgone conclusion from the outset. But with your documentary, and with superteams getting upset quite frequently in recent years, I am definitely going to watch more basketball. So thanks a lot, and for the love of GOD please never stop making this amazing content!

This is one of the best sport documentary I ever seen. No content from ESPN match the level of passion you showcase here. The way you introduce Steph Curry,going back to his father expansion draft pick to Charlotte, is simply, cinematic. And every bit of information is presented like that. I'll never forget that Curry's dad played for the Cavs. Kudos

When I meet younger people and they talk about the greatness of Lebron, I just explain to them I lived during the Jordan years as a Cavs fan. They just don't understand being on the other side and watching your team being unable to get over that hump.

The 1996 draft part is so interesting. Kobe's reps REALLY wanted him in a major media market, like LA or also New Jersey (the nets were really interested in him and played right by NYC at that point), so I wonder if he would've played for the Cavs had they picked him. Both Kobe and the Lakers were all about each other, so it seemed destined he'd play there, but, you have to wonder what could've happened had someone else picked him.

Last year we got a 3 hour Dorktown about the Mariners. This year a couple hour Rewinder about Cleveland, next year I expect a 6 hour Sox-Yankees Beef History

You guys need to do a series called "Mike" and talk about what it was like to play against him. I'll even give you guys the opening. Fantastic video, this is 30 for 30-like quality. When I saw the duration was like "nah, I'll split this into 3 parts" but ended up watching the whole thing in one go. Again, great work.

So while we now see the late 80's/early 90's Cavs as Jordan's stepping stool to greatness, the fact they even still existed, let alone became playoff contenders, is a miracle! Forget the championship-weathering the Stephien days seems way more difficult.

The only reason Kevin Love's defense on Steph was "good" is because Love was so slow both in reaction time and speed that Steph's pump fakes and the sidestep ended up giving Love more time to recover and get into position.

Chapter 2 was about to end on such a cliffhanger before that LeBron spoiler! But, seriously, props to everyone involved in this production, you all went above and beyond to deliver a series that has been amazing so far.

The high quality production value and superb story telling should be part of the future of this channel. I’m sure countless hours were poured into this to ensure the historical accuracy. You guys are sitting on a gem of a model for continued growth and success.

When people talk about how Jordan never faced any great teams, they leave out teams like the Cav's, who were supposed to beat them and be the next great team. I HATED the Cav's, they played the Bulls tough every game, and not dirty and physical like the Pistons, they played the Bulls tough just b/c of youthful talent. That entire team was stacked. They've been forgotten to time b/c of the greatness of those Bulls teams; and it's a shame b/c it was a team that should have been a dynasty if not for Jordan Pip Grant and Pax.

Yes Cleveland could have drafted Kobe, but Kobe also said that he would only sign a contract and play for a certain handful of teams. It's the only reason he was drafted so low. A bunch of teams were to scared to waste a high draft pick. Kobe was such a G that he basically picked where he wanted to go and ending up getting what he wanted. The only reason the Hornets drafted him was because they already had a deal in place with the Lakers prior to the actual draft pick. Cleveland never had a chance at getting Kobe and the Hornets never had a chance keeping Kobe on the team. But they definitely could have drafted the other players you listed in Steve Nash, Peja, etc.
