"and yet Spahr is looking at him...waitin- is he not supposed to be here???" This made me truly laugh at out loud because I can totally feel his quiet, flustered confusion LOL

Somehow Imelda sinking her claws into Phineas at the end seemed very sinister. I wonder why that is, she seems so pleasant... In all seriousness this feels like some kind of prelude to the currency suddenly going belly up and Weepe losing everything (along with half the town).

9:15 I like the continuing trend of Spahr giving Phineas weird directives that make no sense. Like, he has to be at the post office, but also following up on leads _instead_ of that? What is this, the workplace version of negging???

Mr. Weepe should be especially terrified right now. He basically handed over evidence that his business was harbouring escapees from the Trust and they could easily threaten to spin it like he knew he was aiding them (which, to be fair, he did as far as I understand). He might be the richest right now, but the Trust controls the currency and if he does purchase a majority of the shares in Midst, then they'll control it too.

First time two of the three protagonists actually meet., and already feels like they dont like each other very much. Cant wait to see what will happen when Lark will meet both of them.

Phineas trying so hard to get to 0. Weepe gaming the system and being the epitome of valour. Can't wait for them to find out :P

SPOILERS AND PERSONAL SPECULATION BELOW From what I'm understanding about this, Imelda is most definitely involved in inside trading with the exchange rates and plans to use Mr. Weap as a means to build her own wealth with how much he's gained. In currency exchanges there's almost always a 1-2% fee attached that's fixed and priced in to the exchange rate that goes to the person doing the transaction so his huge gains means a smaller but still massive windfall payout for Imelda. There's not been any mention of that being the case yet but that's usually how this type of insider trading/exchange rate manipulation works. Also with this you basically can't exchange "real money" because your currency is being devalued to the point of it being worthless sometimes referred to as hyperinflation. This causes those who got a more favorable exchange rate to become wealthy and high class while plummeting the lower 80% of the population who used to be considered middle class down to poverty level and into debt that they can almost never repay. This would be caenum(sp) beads as they were referred to. The citizens who could once work and earn a living basically become indentured servants for the remainder of their lives and if they cannot pay off the debt it may well be passed down to their decedents as does generational wealth. I believe the operations that Mr. Weap revealed is basically those indentured servants that found a way to escape their captors and start a new life free of debt and able to actually live in this new world. Not sure how Lark is going to fit into all this yet, but I'm predicting that whatever that note held was of significant enough importance that maybe Tzila and her father will be spared from punishment for defecting from servitude due to her delivering the letter or at least just Tzila. I'm also under the impression that the dark liquid from Mr.Weap is being sold to the Trust to create that "tear gas" and that he's already got contacts and information that even Imelda can't imagine. Just discovered this series and binged every episode up to this current one so I'd love to hear other thoughts. It's brilliantly written and narrated so I'm pretty excited for future episodes.

wheels within wheels, so many evil plots swirling

Quite something when a story develops both the setting and the way people are in it that when an event happens, you as a reader can anticipate and predict the natural reactions and flows which the story will take. Maybe that's just from a writer's perspective on the whole, but I enjoy seeing things come into play, even if it is quite obvious when and where.

Happy Midst Wednesday 😊 I love the tension brewing between the characters, particularly Weepe to everyone else

Took me a bit to get invested in this show to figure out whats going on. Now im hooked

I just finished my greatly enjoyable binge of the series to date. I looked up some info on Midst, and was surprised to see that there were only two seasons of this awesome series. Then, I read a little further and saw that CR had acquired it to run through their production company. Now I have to resign myself to waiting week-by-week for each following release. Thanks Matt and everyone at CR for bringing this drama to us. One more reason we love you guys so much!

It's all going well (for the Trust) atm (and of course Weepe _thinks_ it's going well for him), but "the other shoe" is going to drop in a minute... And that's before the Moon makes an entrance. Oh, I can't wait to see what the Trust's endgame here is! (Plus, how's Lark doing?😬)

i just jumped in here to get a picture of what this series is like and if i should watch, and honestly i feel like the audio mix is horrible. the background noise is too loud and (coupled with my adhd) makes it really hard to focus on the dialogue. is this the case for all episodes? :/

The name has too many letters. Remove the S and the T and the name will perfectly reflect the quality of the show.

Clogging up precious subscriptions page space with these is not doing you guys any favors. Even if there's a contract, at this point it might even be better to just pay these people off to go away.
