Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!
@@vincentdimitri169honestly man, I've got a good conspiracy theory for you. Mike Tyson wouldn't have been as good of a fighter without his iconic lisp. The teasings he probably had early on in life for his voice probably increased his motivation to become a badass that NOBODY would want to fuck with.
@@TheMfmccarthy Unresolved pain causes you to deny the effect they have on you in order to preserve a desired self-image. Ironically, it causes you to project ulterior motives onto others as a means of avoiding pain. You said the truth, there is something dark that he can't keep at bay. You can't, it's impossible, and you shouldn't want to because the answer is on the other side. Excuse the armchair psychology or whatever this is.
This is why Mike will go down as a legend. He was a genuine savage. No fake in him. Watching his early days of shadow boxing were more intimidating than any of these clips though. Seeing a solid 210 pound teenager move as fast as he could move is not only intimidating but inspiring.
Epitome of power and rage crazy how he was able to restrain all that force and I don’t want to pull the race card but being black at the time and era was probably a crazy feeling to have so many eyes looking at you at that time. Tbh in my personal opinion I love this guy cause the public shitted on him for years and he ate that when he could’ve exploded and just beat the shit out of anyone who tried him
That's the drugs effecting him and the high blood pressure kicking in cause of his anxiety attacks he gets while on them psychological drugs he was on...Mike isn't a monster he can act like one but he ain't gonna eat anyone he puts fear in those he knows when he can use his scare tactics i mean look at them wippy guys in the interviews they look fragile I bet if Joe Rogan ask Mike to get in the ring Mike do his boxing and joe Rogan which is a nice guy and blew off Mike cause he knew Mike was high ....Joe Rogan would have humble the shit out of Mike like Lennox Lewis did to him Mike was cleaning Lennox face for gay on him in the ring😅 I never forget that Mike is some creepy strange random weirdo guy dude got issues...he only scares those he can sniff out that he can pull that off on. But every monkey knows what tree he climbs on Mike isn't stupid or dumb he knows who tag fk wit and not trust me and believe that he knows oh he knows what's up and what time it is. Play it up on TV but he knows the real ones who he don't even move with that scare tactic
You can truly see in his eyes how much pain he harbors . Nobody will ever know how much violence it took for him to become the gentle man he is today .
Actually that guy apologized all the way till the door for bringing up his dead daughter. Tyson couldn't control his emotions and didn't want to cry in front of another man. That's why he had to let the interviewer leave so he could cry in solitude. That interviewer is a decent human being though. Mike gave him the respect he deserved, but at that point, he needed to be alone because he didn't trust himself when he was emotional. He knew he needed to work on that.
He’s a fascinating man to say the least. I think he’s suffered a lot throughout his life and didn’t know how to handle it. Deep in his soul he’s a kind, feeling person. Just don’t piss him off.
Read his biography. His trainer/adopted father would hypnotize him from a young age when going to sleep. And molded him into this beast and Mike listened to his every word. But he died when Mike was 18 I believe. So Mike lost that one person that could pull the reigns back.
This is so accurate. He could be a huge teddy bear if the environment around him is nice and peaceful. He wants calm and peace in his life, and to love those around him. But hes been hurt, and it is only amplified because such a loving person has been hurt so deeply, that the rage sets in. He just so happens to be an absolute unit, so to see the rage in such a human is scary as fuck
Mike was too short to be an effective heavyweight. He fought either over the hill fighters or big dummies early in his career. In Lennox Lewis he came across a fighter with size and brains, and got his butt kicked.
@@franksmith541prime Tyson never fought heavyweight greats as soon as cus was gone he started declining and withered away but prime Tyson is the best heavyweight of all time in 1985 Tyson could have boxed any man to walk the earth and win
@@Yeaggghurte No, if he fought Lewis at his best (the Lewis of the 90's) in 1985, Lewis would have beaten him inside eight rounds. Besides being big with a huge reach, he was also a smart boxer, who employed tactics better than anyone. The boxers Tyson fought in his early years were big but with empty heads, and some were over the hill. Lewis would have kept Tyson away with his superior jab, and laid into him when he got close. Tyson fought well against Lewis (I saw the whole fight), but he said that Lewis was "too big and strong" for him. Also, Foreman would have taken out Tyson as well. Foreman would also have been to big, strong, and most importantly, smart, for short Mike.
Bro. When Mike said to Tucker. “I wanted to kill them” and just looked with a dead silence. Coldest shit ever. He didn’t say much, but you could feel it.
The scary part of Mike is that he is so genuine today. Not ashamed to show emotions and tell the truth. So when he says "i wanted to kill them" followed by the sad face, you know he meant that. It wasn't a facade to make an opponent intimidated, like the fighters normally do. It was and still is his natural instinct.
I believe that was a set up engineered by that snake Don King. Mike was starting to see the light and slowly distance himself so they did that to keep him in line. At that point in time, Tysons fight earnings were more than 50% of what he was taking as income. Of course he did not want to lose his meal ticket. And all the "evidence" was circumstantial; no rape kit done, no defensive bruises on either defendant or complainant and no CCTV footage; sounds fishy 🤔
The clip of Mike talking about his daughter's death is some of the biggest personal tragedies I've seen. That "you have to go. You understand right? Thank you" with him tearing up is just so heavy. A strong man is not the one who doesn't feel. But the one who embraces how he feels and tries to keep going.
That was genuinely the most terrifying thing I've ever heard. That was a lion telling him to get out of his cage. As much as I love the humanity and humility he showed, that was the most threatening thing I've ever seen another person say.
@austinlaske6462 I think it's very easy to be interpreted as a threat or intimidating but if you watch the whole video you'd get a sense that he just didn't want to be that emotional on camera/cry in front of another man.
@saneman7177 what you said doesn't make sense. What new generation? Mike is almost 60 lmao just because you think you're such a manly man doesn't mean that you are. If anything, in my experience, it's a sign of a weak person.
touched a nerve?… I wasn’t talking about Tyson I was talking about you & the younger generation at large who seem to be obsessed with how they feel & talking about it… “A strong man is not one who doesn’t feel. But the one who embraces how he feels and tries to keep going”… wtf are you on about? Literally every human experiences emotions, it’s a biological fact, having them doesn’t make you a “strong man”…, being stoic or composed doesn’t make you somehow weak… you’re talking gibberish because you think it sounds good I guess, I mean can you imagine ‘I’m full of self loathing because I gambled away all my money, but it’s ok, I’m feeling my emotions, so I’m a strong man!’… this generation is so backwards
Rubbish, Stewart was a fine fighter, very good, took blows from the top guys. Stewart was scared senseless and acted that loss, it was a grazing blow that any decent viewers would of seen it was a dive, not a typical dive for money, but a dive to get the hell out of there. Stewart was scared.
Tyson is authenticity in it's most supreme form. It's been an absolute blessing to have spent my entire adult life on the planet during the age of Tyson.
Mike Tyson has been fighting his whole life . People in real life do not want straight up honesty . But Tyson gave his truth everytime and gave no fucks about what people thought. I wish I could be more like him
This hits different after hearing about Mike hiding scared inside walls as a kid, showing the world he'll never be that scared kid again. And to see how he is nowadays? Mike is a true inspiration, legend
I got to meet him like 15 years ago we both had the same court date in Arizona. He stopped and shook hands with us . Even then he was incredibly intimidating.
A tortured soul but so charismatic. I’m glad he seems to have found some peace these days but watching his evolution through the years has been such a pleasure..
Mike is one of the only true, redemption stories you can see. He's openly honest about his incredible short comings when he was young and has actively truely changed as a man
They say a wild animal will always be a wild animal, Tyson feels ones of the only people alive who will always be a scary dude. He's older now and a lot more relaxed but you feel he could switch like that and not anything anyone could do about it.
Everythime i feel lazy to go to the box gym i watch mikes videos and suck up the pure aggression he displays in the gym and the ring. It gets me pumped everytime
Mike has a gentle soul, who got turned into something he is not, all the while on others perceptions. He is a great guy, and should be treated as such.
The violence just pours out of him. You can see it from his eyes and you can feel it through the screen imagine what those interviewers felt when you'rr face to face with him! Jesus christ😅 He's like a pittbull ready to rip you apart in an instant. One wrong word or a look and he's coming. He's watching you like a crocodile, waiting for a reason to attack. Scary man.
There are times in interviews where you think Mike is interesting and almost childlike. Then he responds with a comment out of nowhere that has you fearing for your life. He was the baddest man on the planet not just for what he did in the ring but also how scary and unpredictable he was in interviews.
Mike is very knowledgeable, and has no filter at all…In my eyes, he has so much to offer. You have to go through Hell to get to Heaven! He is so transparent it is terrifying, as well, so relatable.
Mike Tyson is the true greatest of all time to me he is brutaly honest... he is unfiltered and real as real can be...Mike Tyson a true legend.I just can't say enough of Mike.
Boxing was the only and most viable life path for someone like Mike Tyson.. It wasn't only his livelihood, but also a legal outlet for his immeasurable rage.
Mike is the epitome of anger and rage of all of the homeless kids that struggle without proper parenting and drug afflicted lives that struggle to even est the next meal... they literally hate society and everyone in the world
It’s insane that Mike has been around for 4 decades at this point…he’s stayed relevant the entire fucking time too…back when TV was 240p and still is in the 1080p era lol
I know mike feels that deeply that he’s felt the most pain an endured the most. It’s humbling now to see an bear him say he’s learned that everyone suffers an everyone lives with pain. We all express it different. I was poor an sexually abused an physically an abandoned by my parents an resorted to drugs an got locked up an seen and done things the devil wouldn’t do but I came out the other side better an stronger more importantly compassionate an open. He’s more important to me now then when he was a champion.
He is the scariest man that ever lived. Man it would take a lot of heart to stand in front of that guy anywhere, especially a ring. So hats off to whoever fought him in his prime.
That brave brave brave guy talking about his wife's photos like that... mike was so transparent, he knew it was his job, but he told him how he felt about him personally, that reporter will never forget that.
When i watch the early footage of Mike and witness his anger and rage and then when you see his pain with the lose of his child i just want to give him a hug...
