The Mariners vs Yankees in 1995 has to be Dave Niehaus! Can’t believe that the one and true clip wasn’t used. For those who don’t know, there was a vote on whether to keep funding the team in Seattle. They had never made the playoffs up to this point. Winning this playoff series and going to the playoffs at all literally saved the Seattle Mariners franchise. This is without a doubt the most important play in Mariners history. You mangled these edits. One of the greatest things about Vin Scully's call on Gibson's HR was that he went silent for roughly one minute in order to let the crowd tell the story. That's what made him the greatest of all time, his ability to read a situation.
