Hello Karmenita! I think I've mentioned to you months ago that I am looking to do this as well. I'm so ready to leave NY & NC is where I am aiming towards to settle. Just as your grandmother's home, my aunt & her husband have a home as well in Virginia. That house is well over 40+ years also, just like grandma's home, if you look at my aunts house you would swear it was actually a stick built house. My aunt & uncle also built on to their home, they built a family room, a formal dining room & a basement, the house is truly gorgeous! Clayton Homes are everywhere, my aunt's house is a Clayton Home house. It is so funny because the top three houses that I like the most are Clayton Home houses & all three are from their Tempo Series....Well, one year Congratulations to you & Wynter, looking forward to see what changes you will make....😊😊

I'm in NC as well, and your right about it not being many options on manufactured home builders, i went through Oakwood homes which is also owned by Clayton 🤷♀️
We live in a HOA as well. HOAs have a bad reputation, but we've found it to be great. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. No more crackheads, drug dealers, or violence 😂
Congratulations on your one year of homeownership, I've just started my process and I expect that it will take almost 8 months before I'm able to move in, due to my budget and because i don't want to be "house poor" i had to settle for a not so fancy home, the manufacturer is Tru by Clayton homes, it's the 5 bedroom 3 bath, Triumph, very basic, but i do love the space, even though it's just myself and my spouse i have always loved big homes for the space, I'm just hoping that i don't experience any major issues with the home down the line, the home is under $100k for a 5 bed, 3 bath 2001 sq ft home but like i said, it has no bells or whistles lol, but i figure i can do the upgrades myself, that's one thing i appreciate abt these homes is that they are upgrade-friendly. I'll be extremely grateful to finally get out of this RV that's on it's last leg/wheel lol so i won't even complain about the home not having anything fancy abt it. I was told that the factory is abt 4-5 months out in building these homes sooooo I'm already prepared for the long wait, but hey I've waited this long, there were other models on the lot that i cldve gotten a whole lot sooner but i wasn't satisfied with the space or lack there of and i figure if I'm able to maximize on sq footage i may as well wait and get what I want as opposed to having regrets, anywho sorry abt this book i wrote lol, just wanted to say congratulations and thank you for sharing sis
I am under the house once a month flushing the filter too. Knowing how much an automatic one is I will still be under the house flushing the filter. We got this home, similar to yours, already on land and only three years old. Compared to our stick house this is so low maintenance and the taxes are low too. This will be my last house (hopefully) because it is easy to get around in and I can afford it when I am too old to work. Looking forward to your next video!

Wait, I've never heard of this, is this something that you have to do for every manufactured home?, i have a filter on my well, wld i still need to get under the home to flush the filter?, I'm so confused lol, i don't want to do that lol

👍mobilehome is the way to go, I've been in a rental for about 5+ years now and I'm loving the privacy and no one stomping on my ceiling like apartments lol. I had to fire apartment living here in South Carolina. Too much drama and close proximity in those complexes. A military family in my church back home used to live in one, so I always knew it would be a possible option in life. I appreciate your journey on getting one, as I maybe looking for something similar but not a double wide. Preferably a 3 br and 2 ba scenario. Ironically the one I am renting is a Clayton also. Clayton seems to be very popular in the Carolinas. I do also want a land deal situation. I wonder if Clayton sells them as a land package deal? I will have to find out, there's even a Clayton homes dealer here in Columbia.
Yes they are! Apartment living is annoying, especially as you get older. A doublewide is a 3 bedroom 2 bath. Yes they offer land/home packages. That's what I did. Thanks for watching!

That's how you have to look at mobile home living, it's basically a step up from apartment living, unless you got some crazy sick apartment odds are living in a brand new mobile home is going to be a better experience for all the reasons she just listed, she doesn't have to walk up and down the stairs, that includes every time you go in and out of your house for anything whatsoever at all, thats something people who don't live in an apartment take for granted. It's not just the annoyance of carrying groceries up stairs, it's every single time you want to simply GO outside. I've always been a bit of a home body, but even I noticed about myself in apartment living situations I tend to go outside a whole lot less often. Not to mention when you go outside of your apartment more times than not there is quite literally nothing to do anyways, so theres no reason to even go outside. You start to feel a little bit trapped and on top of that since you lived in such a condensed area you got neighbors on both sides, above and below you a lot of times, kids outside running around playing screaming and yelling. I'm in an apartment right now too in actually a great area and kind of secluded, but this is after years of living in a very active and busy apartment and area for years til I got to the point of where I had to do something. My place now is bigger than my previous place and cheaper and in a better location so I pretty much hit the jackpot there, but were talking YEARS of looking into this stuff. I have often thought about getting a mobile home. Because I can't justify the costs of a house, I'm also single without children so it doesn't make sense to press the issue on a house in this current market though of course I'd prefer one over a mobile home, I'm okay with a mobile home too. I'm not above it and there is nothing wrong with it at all. Especially if you have your own land!
Hi I have been thinking about options. Questions I may have missed-who clears the land for you. I also heard you say they may cut the trees as well-is that utilities?
I’m glad you love you home…….but buying a manufactured home hoping to sell for a few years in not a good idea……because the home depreciates soon as it’s set up.
