Moist Meter | Thor: Love and Thunder 

Thor L&T was one of the most environmentally sustainable movie I've ever watched. Every single joke was recycled, and re-recycled all within the same movie. They should study this film for renewable energy.

I loved the part where I didn't go to the theatre and Chris Hemsworth himself came over to my home and said you look like you need some love and thunder. Really moving

Yup, he really DID give it a 65%.

Gorr was such an interesting character and its too bad they couldn't flesh him out over a few movies. he couldve been up there with the greatest villains.

The moment where Gorr revealed his morning routine in mind numbing details gave me chills.

I loved the part where Gorr said “I have to return some video tapes” truly a touching moment.

The best part was when Loki came in the last scene and went like “it’s lokin’ time” and saves Thor. Really redeems his character, and brought tears to my eye.

Not gonna lie. The axe being jealous got a chuckle out of me.

I loved the part where there were no teens in the theater room wearing suits and throwing banana at the screen

I honestly laughed so hard whenever thor was talking or trying to summon mjolnir, but stormbreaker would slowly appear and be jealous about it.

I loved the part where the scary creatures started to appear and Thor said to a group of tiny children, “They’re right behind me aren’t they?” Such a tense and shocking moment.

I loved the part where gorr said, “I like to dissect girls, did you know I’m utterly insane?”. Brought a tear to my eyes. 10/10 movie

I loved the part where Gorr says to Thor "Impressive. Very nice. Let's see Paul Allen's Love and Thunder". The writers truly wrote this movie.

loved when thor said, "I was actually coming out here to pick up a cupcake." Just an incredible moment that brought the whole theatre to tears

Loved the part when Gorr gently slammed Thor's head onto a glass window and said 'WHERE ARE THEY' calmly. Truly stunning and one of the movies of all time.

With everything you said I would not expect you to still give it a 65

My favorite part is when thor said "he's the god butcher the universe needs, but not the one it deserves right now." Then it cuts to Gorr riding his motorcycle while Drax is chasing him. That moment was a masterpiece.

The title being spoken in the film was actually very well done.

I loved the part when Gorr the God butcher came behind Thor and said “HEY THOR” and kills him with an axe. Truly inspiring

That fight at 2:30 that cr1tikal is describing was such a pain to work on as a VFX artist but man it looked so good! Glad you enjoyed it.

The worst part of the movie which literally made me roll my eyes was when Thor gave the little kids powers to go and fight Gorrs shadow army. Idk why just irked me

i think the biggest saving grace of the film for me was walking in with dirt low expectations. i came in prepared for the silly, outdated humor and did not expect any sort of seriousness to the plot, but i was surprised. there were some serious and emotional moments where i actually felt some weight to the plot, so i came out of the theater with more enjoyment than a lot of the other folks. i didn’t love the movie, but it gave me more than i was anticipating, so it was a good time

Thor love and thunder was definitely one of the MCU movies ever

I think one of the most overlooked scenes in this movie was when Gorr looked directly into the camera and said "Matthew Broderick killed two people in a car accident in 1987 and was charged with vehicular manslaughter." Chilling.

My favorite part of this film is when Jane shouts “it’s cancer time” and gets hit by a train as she is screaming in absolute pain, truly a wonderful piece of film art

To me the movie would’ve been greatly improved by cutting *almost* everything with the guardians and everything with the city of gods, and just spending that screentime fleshing out Gorr’s relationship with Thor Thor’s dynamic with the guardians was weird and bad and all of them seemed like they just hated him- they should’ve dedicated a bit more energy into Star Lord’s conversation with Thor and taking it seriously like they’re having a heart to heart instead of in the movie where it’s kind of just Thor being kicked out because nobody likes him and being oblivious about it. The whole city of gods was basically pointless, they added nothing to the film. It should have been that the gods were already wiped out when they got there and they had to fight Gorr there and have a clash of ideals between Gorr and Thor. Something that involves Thor demonstrating the fact that love gives him strength and basically giving something for Gorr to chew on- actually setting up the end.

the whole joke Stormbreaker being jealous of Mjölnir was so stupid

I loved the part where Thor said "It's morbin time" and then the film split and the theatre was treated to a special screening of Morbius. Really brought the waterworks.

I loved the part where Christian bale said “I’m Batman” and blew up the Death Star after finding out his son was actually Chris Pratt all along. Truly a spectacle that can’t be replicated

I love the part when Gorr asks Thor, “you like Huey Lewis and the news?”

Holy shit those screaming goats got old fast. I also felt like that joke was like 5-6 years too late

I loved the part where Christian Bale said, "I live in the American Gardens Building on West 81st Street on the 11th floor. My name is Patrick Bateman. I’m 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I cried when Jean said “no thor were the love and thunder” truly a cinematic masterpiece

When gorr said "a hero could be anyone even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boys shoulders to let him know the world hadnt ended" brought me to tears. It is truly one of the movies of all time

I love the part where Gorr reached eternity and finally got a reservation at Dorsia 10/10

I liked gorr's reaction when he found out thors ship was more expensive than his that led to his mental downfall. Excellent character development.

I just loved seeing Eternity. Eternity's one of THE most powerful beings in the whole MCU and the child having a portion of Eternity's power is super interesting.

I loved how literally every weapon had teleportation abilities.

I love moist's take on this movie. I can see all the flaws he pointed out, and pretty well agree with a lot of them. Oddly enough, I had the complete opposite experience in the theater. People would occasionally break into laughter, I even found some space to laugh at times even though the comedy was slightly overbearing. I would love to know if anyone else had an experience like this.

I loved the part where Gorr said "Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it!" A truly touching scene

Thor: is one of the most intelligent and powerful gods in MCU. Has lost his brother,father, mother and whole Kingdom. Mourns their death and is angry inside. Taika Watiti: I missed the part where that's problem

Loved the part when Little Gru went into a cafe and started cheesing people with his cheese gun. Gets me everytime

I liked when he said “I the mighty THOR will defeat you with love and thunder!” And then his pants fell off for comedic effect

Your theater experience might be geographical. Saw this movie in Texas and the whole theater was dying laughing at the goats, me included.

The only time I genuinely laughed was when my wife was cringing when Thor and Natalie Portman were trying out catchphrases. That was too much for her lol.

The part where Jane said "You're not Thor, WE are Thor" brought tears to my eyes. Truly a tour de force

I went and saw it this past weekend, theatre all laughed when stuff happened and so did I. But I do agree with the lack of gorr screen time. Such an in depth badass character barely getting time in.

Are you REALLY not gonna talk about Peacemaker showing up and shooting Zeus in the face ? The whole theater erupted in applause and cheer. I was there .

my favorite joke was when thor told jane he had to go because fury was calling him but then when he walked out he yelled “heimdall!” to take him away. it was so subtle not many people caught it but it was hilarious

The best part was when Gorr said 'Its Gorrbin time' and Gorrbed all over everyone. Truly one of the movies of all time

Yeah, I agree with Charlie's take on this one. The comedy on Ragnarok came out natural while on Thor: Love and Thunder, they forced the comedy too much that its not funny. Tho the visuals and action scenes were made very good.

I completely agree. It didn’t feel like it took itself seriously and there were a lot of things that I really liked they just didn’t double down on. Like you said the cheesy jokes and moments made the experience quite goofy

I absolutely loved watching Ragnarok. I hope I don’t end up hating the film or not feeling satisfied

The novelty of those screaming goats were fun at first but then it had ran for too long. I must admit that had me giggling for a while compared to most people but even a person like me with a stunted humor that will probably laugh at anything thrown at me had gotten full of those goat screams

My favorite gag was bringing back the Matt Damon play where he’s Loki (though it went on for a bit too long)

Honestly the "rip Loki" tattoo got me. But other then that. I just sat and watched.

Loved when Thor said "I have come to stop you. You have killed many gods." and then Gorr replies "I missed the part where that's my problem."

I loved when Surtur summoned the six paths and said, "It's clobbering time!"

I definitely felt the same way with this movie. I really wanted to like it more than I actually did. There was some times that something got a small laugh out of me but it was all very underwhelming.

I loved when gorr said "I'm not the villain Gotham wanted. I'm the one it needs."

The part where Gorr screamed and shouted Thor's name by saying "Hey, Thor!" and stabbed him in the back while his inner Bruce Wayne is kicking in 'till he became human again and felt regret to his misdemeanor, but then suddenly, it wasn't Thor whom he have killed, it was his twin brother; foreshadowing the events of Gorr/Bruce's past life from the 19th Century where he lived as a most competent, genius magician of all Europe is truly a masterpiece. Taika Waititi is a brilliant director, definitely one of the directors of all time.

My theater was the opposite lots of laughs and fun times has I actually liked the story

I enjoyed the movie and had the same criticisms as Charlie... the jokes and comedy made me smile at best and had me stoned face at worst... They didn't take the plot too seriously and they can just teleport whenever they want... but I can let the teleportation criticism go since they are all powerful "gods" they can do whatever they want. Overall the movie was still good for me... great villain, action, visuals, the story was simple but still good... its a great family movie.

Natalie fighting the shadow things with the fragmenting hammer was pretty badass.

I loved the part where korg said, "ITS KORGIN TIME", it brought tears to my eyes what a moment of cinematic history.

I’ve been waiting to watch the movie so that I could watch this review. And I honestly completely agree with Charlie’s review. I do think the whole jealous stormbreaker axe trope was really funny, but that’s just me lol. But fr this is more or less exactly how I felt after leaving the theater.

The best part was when Chris Pratt said “It’s time for me to be star lord”, I was blown away at the sheer hype of this moment.

I liked when Gorr called his lawyer and said “I just had to kill a lot of gods!”

I think Gor does some great things that almost make him fall into the Ultron problem of a villain but then you see him in a different light. Hes playful but creepy around the kids which makes sense given the origin the movie gives him. The children are just bait and his real goal is to kill the gods. Its interesting to see someone cursed by a sword slowly killing them but giving them divine dark powers and corrupting the mind but he still retains a sense of parental care. Its only when people actually show up to fight him that he is fully serious to the point its only characters like Thor and Jane or Valkyrie making jokes in response to him, which makes sense for his character because he hates the gods with a passion. Hes not going to quip with adult gods trying to stop him and I glad the movie shows those two sides of his character.

The best part of this movie is when Thor and Gorr both had gay sex in honour of pride month. Truely inspiring

I was shocked that in the middle of a fight, Gorr and Thor got into a heated argument about what was the Deftones' best album. I was shocked that Gorr suggested that Koi No Yokan was their greatest while Thor just went for the old standby in Around the Fur.

I think the best moment is when king Bob helps gru rise and Dr Micheal morbius gives thor some love and thunder, so heartwarming.

The formulaic comments on this review really tie the meta-experience altogether, truly heart-wrenching that these guys don't actually see the video and perform the same mistakes of the movie Cr1tikal's talking about. Edit: Aaaaaaand they're still going. Certainly Morbius will be the new amogus, but without a smidge of the ironic enjoyment. Thank you, internet.
