Just when you think the dad may be the saving grace of the family he opens his mouth and says the stupidest shit out of this entire case 🙄

They raised their daughter to be a spoiled brat

I saw absolutely nothing wrong with any of those photos. Not even the one through the leaves. They just wanted free photos.

No wonder she didn’t make the book - the payment was stopped. That’s insane. She did all the editing and designing. Ordering the book is the easy part after it’s been designed and photos edited.

This girl is learning the art of lying, manipulation, and deception from her mom. Her mom is the problem. The way she looked over at her daughter when she was told to leave. She wasn’t expecting to be asked to leave. She knows GODD AND WELL they shared those pics. The majority of this pics are BEAUTIFUL. Them pics did their job. Her look was upgrade. Listening at the dad, I see he has him WELL TRAINED as well. Asking that STUPID question to a TEENAGER. 🙄🙄🙄

As a photographer, the photographer got stiffed! My digitals are $100/a piece. That one digital can be reprinted endlessly. The digital is the highest value a photographer owns.

JJ really devalued plaintiff's work. From the start before seeing any pictures JJ put the plaintiff down. As if she had a vendetta against photographers.

I'm confused as to why they were so unhappy with the photos. Most of them looked great.

She didnt get a book because she stopped payment before the book was done. What is she not understanding? Im not producing a book AFTER you stopped my payment. But she still won her case because that mother is insufferable. Her daughter isnt ugly, but she acting like she's drop dead gorgeous

Great photos, nasty people and unfortunately, JJ devalued the photographer's work.

No idea why JJ was so hard on the plaintiff. There is a LOT more to model/portrait photography than just mashing the shutter button and voila, a good photo comes out the other end. The provided photo's shown were very nice and professional, even the one that was singled out through the leaves. Now the defendant's on the other hand, where to frigging start!?!?! Nothing like the mom subcommunicating to the daughter that the daughter is ugly and even professional pictures of her won't make her look pretty. Yikes.

The actual prints and book are not what you’re actually paying for. You’re paying for time and editing. Editing is very time consuming and I don’t even do photography.

I'm a professional wedding photographer. Did this photographer not have a **contract** ? Stating things like "results of color may vary depending on lighting conditions, paper photo is printed on" Also the client knows your style based on your portfolio. How you shoot, how you color grade etc. also that "purchasing digitals with album" part again would be in a CONTRACT and listed on your site. Judge Judy is obviously uneducated when it comes to photography but at the same time if the photographer used a contract (assuming she didn't) this entire mess could've been avoided !

An example of how much a professional’s skillset is devalued. Really? $300-400 for her time? Judge Judy should try learning how to edit photos and then try putting that kind of low ball number on the work.

I'm a pro photographer. They were sent *unedited previews* from the RAW photos to choose which photos they would want final edits on, those previews might have color and exposure seeming off but those get altered in the edit. I always tell clients to look at the pose, the face etc and to ignore color and exposure since that will change in the edit. I'm sure this photographer did too, unfortunately she is dealing with a client from hell that will nit pick over the smallest things, there is no keeping that kind of client happy.

The young girl does indeed look better in the photos than in real life. Mommy is definitely a Karen. JJ knew that too and threw her out of the courtroom.

JJ you are wrong to devalue the plaintiffs work, you know nothing about photoshoots, I dont care if you have 100 kids and 5000 grand kids!!

Judge Judy is dead wrong here. I'm a photographer, and the time spent editing is significant. The photographer did the work. The client CHOSE the pictures to go in the album. The work designing the album is work that was done. Not the printing of it. Several hours editing photos, plus the hours to design the book. Not to mention that they already have the edited digital images. Deleting them off the phone doesn't mean they haven't already downloaded them. Awarding her $10 per photo isn't fair, because the time spent shooting, the hours spent editing, the time spent designing, the talent of the photographer, the professional equipment investment, the skill of professional posing... Not to mention having to deal with that idiotic mother... the kind of whom cannot be pleased. This photographer did everything right. Judge Judy knows nothing about this business. That is a cruel and insanely unfair blow. Btw JJ... They ate the steak!!

Since this case is all about looks, I'll be blunt the girl is a 4/10 and the photographer made her a 7/10 case closed.

The photographer is running a legitimate business, charging fair prices in today's market, and producing high quality photographs. Once again, Judy doesn't know what she's talking about. She just has to be the alpha female, even when no one cares.

Daughter"And I didn't" Dad:"(emphatically) So THERE you go." 😐🤨🙄😂😂😂 Me to daughter: "Have you ever lied about anything in your entire life?" Daughter: a response either yes or no nullifies the dad's ridiculous conclusion/assertion of "There you go".

Despite the father's bizarre outburst, I guarantee that the daughter has done many a thing, many a time, in direct defiance of her parents' orders. Including sharing her senior pictures with her friends, but that's the least offense on the list.

I hated my senior picture and had them taken again gratis by the photographer. I just can't take photos! I still hated them but not the photographer's fault. These are a lot more than they used to do for our senior pics. I think they look pretty good. She's prettier when she smiles than scowls. Her mom is going to be an issue for her BF or husband. Dad is a noodle.

The defendants think they are slick. They used those pictures and wanted the pictures for greeting. The young lady looks better in the pictures than real life.

Strongly disagreed with this decision. Don’t think JJ knows how photography works and her obsession over the “album” confirms that 😂 editing down 200 photos to 100 cannot be easy and is worth much more

Defendant-the daughter-looked great to me even in the unedited photos, with the exception of her hair color and sometimes her complexion. Both of those looked redder than she looks in person. Editing could have corrected those but we never saw the edited photos. Defendant’s mother is a loudmouth with attitude. Otherwise, the family could have negotiated with the photographer to fix what they didn’t like, instead of stopping payment on the check.

As a photographer myself who does senior portraits, this photographer's work is gorgeous and beyond professional. The mother and her daughter and the worst karens, hope no one will work with these entitled brats.

Normally I'm a 'customer's always right' kinda guy but in this case I think the plaintiff got a raw deal. She made the defendant look WAY better than she does in real life but even the best photographers can only do so much.

There's a case on 'Judy Justice' where it was evident JJ still doesn't understand the technicalities of the profession, again devalued the process which ended in an unfair ruling for the photographer, and in the post-briefing session, her granddaughter Sarah actually spoke out and disagreed with JJ, briefly schooling her based on knowledge she gleaned from her college roommate who was also a photographer, and all JJ could say was something to the effect of Oh well you should've stopped me, or whatever (like Sarah was ever going to be allowed to trump JJ in her own show...)

She deserves way more than $500 for all that heavy editing! The pictures came out so well! They basically got it on a discount

Being a business owner, she can write off her losses. But, glad she got something for her trouble. As for the girl and her mother? I have no words. SMH

Wrong ruling in my opinion, the reason why she didn't make an album and she should have said it is because she needs to get paid in advance, the cheque has to clear for her to start working on the album. Photographers don't work like a restaurant where they serve you and bill you later, it's more like a McDonald's, money first, then we prepare your food. A contract is a contract, she should have been paid in full and she should have given them a photo album after the ruling.

SHE DIDN'T MAKE THE BOOK BECAUSE THEY STOPPED THE CHECK!!!!!!!! JJ really got this wrong.

Update: This is the case of my daughter is a model and Facebook is gonna prove it……till it didn’t!

There should be a contract, then the photographer would have gotten paid. At least she got some money. JJ usually rules somewhat down the middle, both sides don't get quite what they want but probably get something. The defendants also get the pictures.

To me it just sounded like a scam to get free senior photos. Plaintiff sends the untouched and edited images, they claim it’s not to their satisfaction and try to get out of payment. More than fair ruling.

To be honest i wouldn’t even pay $1000 to begin with but I’d be mad as hell if i did pay $1000 and those photos didn’t look like me. Then again the mother is dumb she posted the pictures and only took them down only because someone else commented on the picture. At the end of the day its not about the mother smh
