Makes you wonder why they thought they were in a wedding dress shop at all. After all, why bother with the opinion of the staff when they could surely do a much better job themselves? I'm surprised they didn't just start dragging dresses off the racks while elbowing the staff out of the way. They also spoke very rudely.

I got my dress and veil for $150 from the JC Penney outlet in Atlanta. It’s still pretty with a big bow in the back. Of course this was 1989. Over the top dresses.

Honestly, at all weddings there are just ass people that will say something. Some one is always gonna judge something at a wedding, or any even t at all. That's the reason why when I get married I'm gonna go by myself, i love my mom and sisters and mother in law, but i wanna choose a dress i love.

She's had "pageant" drilled into her brain all her life. Trained as a child, dictated to as a teenager - that was the world she was indoctrinated into so her go-to was to get their approval. I hope she gets some sense into her head.

She probably sees them as good friends. There is something about a bride's friends that makes her think that they'll support her over their personal views. Sadly, that's often not the case.

The producers help pick who comes to the appointment. Apparently to be on the show you have to submit information about all of your relatively close contacts and then, while you might get to choose to bring your mother and father or something, the producers decide who will make the best TV.
