I think that Michael Keaton being in Morbius does not mean the movie takes place in the MCU. Keaton could just be playing that universes version of the vulture, the same way J. K. Simmons plays J. Jonah Jameson in both the Raimi-verse and MCU

I completely reserve judgement until after seeing Spiderman No way home, and I feel like it might not even make sense until Multiverse of Madness. But if I had to guess, I think all of the multiverses are collapsing in on one another so I think they are all a big scramble. The whole everything is happening at the same time, idea.

I'm leaning towards Morbious being in the Venom verse. He's clearly taunting someone saying he's Venom. Plus they talk about the "incident" in San Francisco. If they want to send Morbious to the MCU they can always "Glitch" him with the same phenomenon that was used on Eddie and Venom.

Venom and Morbius take place in the Rami universe. He Who Remains being killed caused the multiverse to branch into each other. Pulling Venom into the MCU, and Vulture into the Rami verse. It would explain how Tobey and Andrew, with their rogue gallery, get pulled into the MCU

my guess is that the thing that brought venom into the MCU is at the end of the events of no way home when the unverses collide, and this is the beginnings of the MCU versions of the incursions. Its all leading to secret wars

No it's a time jump skipping the snap and returning right after the blip or Eddie and venom both got dusted and it's showed with that weird transition since Sony needs to get approval by marvel first, so it's easier for them to just cut things

I think this might actually take place during the events of no way home and whatever happens. Like the film starts when Dr. Strange breaks the multiverse and it can have like an effect where only Peter and Dr. Strange remember the previous universe which would explain why Morbius has all of these clues like it’s always been apart of everything.

In the city skylin shot showing Horizon, Oscorp and the building under construction, there's a 4th building, kinda narrow and asymmetrical at its peak, on the right side. I'm not familiar with any recent changes to the Manhattan skyline... is this a real building? Because to me it kinda suggests the Avengers tower, seen from the "back" of it (the side without the quinjet landing pad)

At 0:40 the buildings are, from left to right, One57, Oscorp Tower (fictional), NYT Building (next to Oscorp that Erik keeps saying is "under construction", and 53W53 (probably what you're referring to).

With venom now crossing over into the mcu the venom reference could still count as mcu related. And as mentioned that graffiti also kinda relates to mcu. The only thing that doesn’t relate in someway to mcu is the oscorp but given that the building is different it could be that it shifted from the web universe to the mcu and got an updated look just look the hotel room venom is in. Ultimately I think it’s safe to say it’s definitely in the marvel cinematic MUlTIverse it’s just unclear if it’s in the main timeline universe or some kind of adjacent yet still connected universe

What if it is in its own unique universe by itself, a universe where a version of Venom exist in San Francisco with the catchphrase "I am Venom", a Spiderman with that suit is wanted for murder, the Daily Bugle is a 6 column newspaper that always uses poorly constructed headlines, etc. Everything could just be an Easter egg and reference like most movies have and people are only trying to force connections because Morbius is a Marvel character. As for Keaton, he could just be playing the same character in a different universe just like JK Simmons did. Nothing is connected.

I think the timeline of this movie is after No Way Home, Venom comes in No Way Home, gets back to his universe, his "We are Venom" becomes iconic and now after No Way Home Morbius remembers his "We are Venom" and uses it as a joke

I think the multiverse is broken. There's overlaps. The universes are separate, just bleeding into each other. The venom films don't take place in the raimiverse-- there'd be 2 Eddie's. Venom could take place in the webb-verse, but I doubt it. Venom is it's own standalone with morbius and whatever post-venom films they make. I think they're bleeding into each other. Wanda, Loki, doctor strange or all of the above have caused the multiverse to start colliding, much like secret wars.

I know I’m a bit late but we have to remember that when the teaser trailer for Venom was released Sony announced that it wouldn’t be in the MCU but would be the jumpstart of their own cinematic universe called the SCU and that’s where this could be hence the San Francisco incident mention for either the rampage Venom conducts in the first one or the whole carnage murder spree.

It's an asumption based on the fact that in the Marvel Multiverse we never saw an actor portray 2 different prominent characters (we've had minor roles such as Star-Lord's mother's actress being in WW2, but nothing major). Then again, we barely know how this multiverse works.

This is what I say. About what sony marvel characters/movies are part of the MCU and that is if they appear in a non-spiderman movie that is in the MCU or if they have the Marvel Studios banner play at the beginning then, yes. they are part of the MCU. If not, then they are just loosely connected because Sony desperately want to play in the MCU sandbox.

Do you think its possible that Keaton got pulled into Morbius’s verse, we all assume everything is collapsing into ours, but what if some things fracture and split. Or even rogue-er, what if Morbius ends with him turning himself in, but then gets ported to our universe, where he sees the spidey poster and Keaton (maybe scuffle with him), and the venom line is like post credits, after hes seen a report on venom(?).

It’s supposed to be set in the mcu. Kevin feige said the let there be carnage post credits scene was last minute. It was also said around the same time as venom being released that Sony’s Spiderman universe was supposed to be “in the same universe as Spiderman: homecoming”. They’ll likely bring morbius into the mcu the same way they did venom and possibly use him to introduce blade. Btw I bring up the post credits scene of let there be carnage being last minute because morbius was likely done filming when it was added in.

I think it’s webb. Vulture is not the same from mcu. Venom is in the webb universe now merging them completely. That raimi reference is fan art of a spidey who stopped pulling his punches.
