In my head, there was some mission when Anakin was a teenager where a bunch of girls started flirting with him or something and then Obi-Wan showed up and saw lol

It’d be pretty neat to have a scene of their shenanigans and then we’d cut to the present and Obi-Wan would be all depressed. (I love emotional damage)

Obi Wan knew about Padme though

Yeah, one of my favorite interactions between them is during the Clovis arc in season 6 when Obi-Wan comes into Anakin's quarters to talk to him about Padme and Clovis. You get the sense that Obi-Wan knows about Anakin's feelings towards Padme and is trying to help him but the only way he knows how to is to preach about the Jedi code which in Anakin's case, doesn't help. When Anakin gets angry about the thought of Clovis and Padme developing a relationship, he regrets it and reaches out to Obi-Wan as he's leaving only to pull his hand back and let Obi-Wan go. That scene really just showed that had Anakin had someone to confide in besides Palpatine about his feelings, someone like Obi-Wan, his fall to the dark side could've been avoided.

Sadly it goes much deeper than that. Anakin needed someone to truly understand him and help him come to peace with the things he went through. His emotions are a result of his environment. The reason why palpatine twisted him and was able to have such an incredible grip over him is because he came to him the same way qui gon came to him. Open minded and understanding and the strong figure that could lead him to overcome the things that haunt him and also He treated anakin as a human being. The jedi never treated him like a human being aside from obi wan though even then obi wan was so close minded and by the book of the dogmatic views of the jedi that he failed to truly train anakin in the way that qui gon would have hoped. Cause as Dave filoni said Qui gon understood what it meant to take away anakin away from his mom and to bring such a huge change, and he was the figure that anakin needed in order to not fall to the dark side

There was also a Jedi master who took in Anakin during a time obi wan was presumed dead. This master was outright dismissive of his concerns and other things which really closed Anakin down and started his hatred of the order. The order by this point grew stagnant and truthfully it's why it's destruction needed to happen. In legends the order Luke built was by the far the most powerful ever because it didn't force them to be hermits. It even was able to return students and others that cell to the dark side.

@@wayothefro3249 Yeah, he could even have confided in Ahsoka if he had the time because when she leaves the Order, she says she understands when he mentions he wanted to leave too, implying she knew about him and Padmé. If Ahsoka had the time to talk to him before she went off to face Maul, she could have helped him and prevented him from going for Palpatine to help and at least that could have prevented Anakin from falling.

What do you mean “in your mind”? The way I remember it the Clone Wars end and Anakin gets to have his family while also remaining best friends with Obi-Wan. I’m so glad George Lucas decided to write such a lovely ending for all of the characters.
