Query and markup languages are not included such as HTML, CSS or SQL. Popularity is defined by the percentage of programmers with proficiency in specific language.
You can do "Largest inmigrant groups in Argentina 1860-2023"?? 🇦🇷🧳 In the golden age with 6,611,000 we were the 2nd country with the most immigrants 1930.
I think that some of your percentages add up to over 100%. Fantastic summation of the changes in the programming world. The hot thing when I started learning programming was Fortran. I think the most interesting part is that generally the programming languages that are popular are almost always ‘community’ projects, whether the community is a bunch of us scruffy programmers, or a group of companies trying to set a standard. The few company specific languages are from the larger players, Microsoft, Apple, etc. Thanks!
Thank you for the comment! I would like to clarify that if one programmer is proficient in more than 1 programming language it will add up the percentages of each language that he/she is proficient in. Thats why the total percentage is more than 100% in some cases.
