Move Forward After Relapsing from Opiate Addiction 

when I relapsed, I wasn't able to just do it the one time and move on with recovery. I turn back Into a fiend for several months. that's always the cycle. I'm wise to that now.

Relapsing sucks...you get through the sickness, clean for a few weeks and the pull of opiates pulls you back in for "one more time"....with my addictive ass personality it ain't gonna be just one time...but like you said you can't dwell on it or beat yourself up over it....just keep moving one day at a time....

I will share my story this week. I agree that we beat ourselves up so much on a relapse that we just give in. My first time trying was similar, and then my usage went up for the next year. I have made it so much further this time around thanks to what you do and calm support!

thank you for making this video I had a heroin relapse this past weekend and I've been beating myself up over it mentally. things have been going amazing and I started hanging out with the wrong guy drinking and my triggers kicked in and I chose to use. my wife and I both go to the methadone clinic for over a year now and I can't even tell her that I used because she would freak out. I wonder why she can't be more understanding. but I do need to move forward and Let It Go and concentrate on all the good stuff that's happening in my life thank you

Great video. Ryan, have you ever had to take opiates again because of a legitimate medical reason or have you found other ways of coping with the genuine medical pain. i.e. dental work, broken leg, etc.

Is there anyway I could speak to you? I was two weeks clean until today and I used once. Is this going to start my withdrawal over? Im freaking out and I have a lot to lose. I’m so scared I’ll never be the same again.
