Just a suggestion to those who choose to take air box out, there's a rubber grommet underneath that if lost will cause the air box to vibrate a lot when starting engine and when waiting at traffic lights ect.
Speaking from experience, gone through heaps of those upgrades halogens, they don’t seem to last long, ended up going led and still haven’t had a issue to date and have better performance and run cooler
Me too. Got to a point were I would always carry an extra bulb or 2 in the car to replace ones as they blow. Got pretty efficient at changing out the bulbs after a while. Would definitely go led where possible
Did you have to remove the fuse box and air filter box to access the headlight? Got an MR GLS Premium triton and can not find the headlight connector anywhere...
Glad you didn't go the LED upgrade People doing so are inconsiderate of other road users as they blind oncoming drivers There is a reason no LED upgrades are ADR compliant I'm lucky I have a GLS so have the factory LED
People don't realize it's also illegal to replace filament head lights with LED lights. You can only replace with another filament bulb. Look it up if ya don't believe me.
Yup, lots of manufacturers claim their LED bulbs are drop-in replacements for filament bulbs, but as far as the ADR is concerned, you can't put an LED bulb in a housing designed for filament bulbs, because the reflectors aren't designed for the individual LEDs placement and can cause a lot of glare for oncoming drivers.
It's something that I've put some thought into. From what I understand a catch can can/will void your warranty. At this stage with a 7 to 10 year warranty I'm not sure that putting a catch can on is worth that risk 👍 just my personal thoughts 😎
@@Sh4dow682 I've read on various Facebook groups about somebody who knows somebody who had something like a rear main seal go and Mitsubishi refused the warranty because (poor quality) catch cans can increase crank case pressure. Mind you, I've only ever read this 2nd or 3rd hand, never actually heard from anyone who it happened to directly, and I do know some dealers will supply and fit catch cans themselves, so who actually knows 🤷
seriously hating the mr no two are the same i cant find a way to get to the globe it looks to be a sealed unit. auto store is telling me ive got 3 possibility's for globes either a h4 or two globes one high one low. cant even find wires going into mine
