To be honest, that makes sense. When you're a 16-year-old geek, you don't always grasp the interest of the superspy with a troubled past. The badass tank in a colorful suit who can fly, shoot lasers and punch alien ships into oblivion has her own sort of appeal.

Tony Stark was a spoiled rich kid that changed his ways. Thor was a rebellious rowdy prince that learned honor and respect. Hulk was all about emotions and torment. Captain Marvel doesn't really have a personality.

Here some poor kids, usually the eldest who has a very strong sense of responsibility , voluntarily help their widowed mum sell snacks and breakfast items in villages right before school or during weekends when said single mum has to wake up at 3am everyday to prepare food items to sell for the working crowd's morning breakfast. And these kids also are usually very diligent at school. Motives are usually tht they feel really bad for their mother who works hard everyday to feed and raise them as best as the mother can. Im trying to figure out when this takes place. Loki takes place right after Endgame and before it (time works weird in the TVA) Wandavision was 3 weeks after Endgame Falcon & Winter Soldier was 6 months after Endgame Shang Chi was sometime early in the year because they showed a Chinese New Year calender Spider-Man Far From Home was 9 months after Endgame (so sometime in late June or July) Spider-Man No Way Home was immediately after it then fast forwarded to beginning of school year. Hawkeye was during Christmas, so over one year from Endgame Eternals was probably around sometime earlier that year maybe March since they still had winter clothes So this means that giant Celestial 'God' showed up in front of the planet for everyone to see; not to mention the smaller Celestial erupted out of the Indian Ocean and is now a solid mountainous object. Yet no one has said anything about them. Which is weird as fuck. Anyone who's religuous would be flipping their head right now.

The graphics and cinematography are the things I can say would actually get me to like this if story could just stay at around this level till it ends doing so would make it one of the most visually entertaining and tolerable D+ shows for me

Well, "WandaVision" was pretty good up until the last, few episode, so they showed they can be competent at least. Sadly that's as good as I can say about Disney+ shows... from those I watched; after "Hawkeye" I just said goodbye to MCU as a whole... it was fun while it lasted

People literally were screaming how excited they were for Obi-Wan Kenobi. Them not liking it is an AFTERMATH. And also no one had seen it before release day not even critics. And on top of that there were two episodes released first day whereas only Hawkeye and Wandavision really did that of their high IP shows, and Wandavision being the first Marvel one and being sitcomy, which the trailers implied, wasn't fully invitational to everyone at that point. As for the second part of your post, yes that is a problem Disney has now and it's about to happen with ANOTHER space property, Lightyear. But that still has nothing to do with the record Disney claims that Obi-Wan Kenobi holds. The same is true for Moon Knight, what they said was it was the most clicked on Marvel show release day, bu t then they said that Loki was their most watched Marvel show of all. Those are two different things, the second does not contradict the other.

And the whole cosplay contest scene which reveals her powers couldn't work if she wasn't on stage with other Captain Marvel cosplayers. Also a lot of these comments are from people who didn't watch the episode but are forming their opinions on it based on this RU-vid video. I cannot stress this enough, seriously, episode one of Ms. Marvel is NOT as painful to watch as people are acting like it is. Seriously, if people want cringe they can turn on that Fairly Oddparents live-action show.

That would have been a lot better, both for the character and for the actor, I can only image her trying to contain her giddiness when becoming ms Iron.

Her family are traditional and don’t let her live like most teens they push the idea she can’t be like others. People outside of that treat her like any other person. Her love of captain marvel makes senses in context. She came out of nowhere in endgame punched a spaceship out the sky and punched the big purple man in the face. It’s all she knows and she finds that awesome.

One minute she’s day dreaming about being perfect the next she comes back down to earth and understands she won’t be able to do a thing. She feels like she couldn’t be a hero because her family and community are traditional and want her to stick to their culture and be a normal Muslim girl. They also hint at her Nan being a bit loopy or delusional and that’s why her mom is more critical of her, she’s scared that her daughter will end up like her mom. Still the parents do try in their own way to bend their rules to let her have what she wants but it’s not the full freedom she wants. I mean she is still a kid so parents will parent. The show isn’t amazing, honestly it’s just passable but considering falcon and the winter solider and Wanda vision and the bs in them this is refreshing down to earth low scale slice of life stuff. At least so far. No bs “they don’t know what you sacrificed” or “you’ve got to do better senator” bs in the first episode.

Lets not forget Adam Warlock is supposed to be a huge connection to Thanos story but NOPE we had to shove Captain Marvel in there even though it made no sense lol Oh and dont forget the Micronauts (who Hasbro owns now and does nothing with them) since the whole "Quantum Realm" in the MCU is really a replacement term for "Microverse" which belongs to the Micronauts. So Disney really shoulda bought Micronauts (and ROM Space Knight) from Hasbro but they wont because theyre stupid.

Actually, if Thor pulled out Stormbreaker after launching it into Thanos' chest, he probably would have been able to beat Thanos on his own. It was just that Thor was more interested in making Thanos feel pain for what he had done rather than finishing him off because Thor was blinded by revenge. Sadly, most other times, Thor has been nerfed pretty hard, especially when he became Fat Thor, so hopefully Thor returns to the same strength he once had.

And Kamala literally says "COSMIC" at the end of episode 1. I imagine more will be revealed later and dont forget this all ties into the upcoming "The Marvels" movie which stars her, Monica Rambeau, and Captain Marvel

The issue here is that even after the Snap the Avengers weren't gone; the "core group" was still alive and at least Cap and Black Widow were actually active... Hawkeye was too technically. And "Endgame" itself quite directly stated that Captain Marvel was handling "the universe", not Earth. Carol's exploits aren't really known and people don't have any, actual basis for knowing who she is other than the words of other Avengers; Ant-Man is sorta public since the second movie, it's not that strange that he's somewhat recognized, but Captain Marvel is not an Earth-bound hero at this point. An "earthling" hero-worshipping her is just out of place... it's like a regular human would hero-worship Starlord.

To which she runs "not likely" and then rocket raccoon makes a snarky remark. This implies she made an effort to be Earthside since then and has at least taken care of a few bad guys. Tony was retired, nothing suggested Cap was active in Avengers. Thor was drunk, Hawkeye was using a new alias and hiding his face. Hulk was dealing with his merging. Face it, the people Black Widow video chatted with were what was left.

Now if Kamala actually does make references to Carol's exploits on Earth (let them even be off-screen ones) it's a bit of another story. Going strictly by the movies, we really don't have any reason to believe she's known to the general public. By "active" I meant that they were alive mostly and on Earth; whether their exploits are known (or if there are any) is not that big a deal for the topic at hand: Avengers fought the Chitauri in New York... they fought Ultron in Sokovia... and that is outside their adventures in solo movies. They ARE known to general public; this we know for a fact. In "Endgame" we even see kids coming up to Hulk to get a selfie or whatever and that does make sense (regardless to how stupid I think that was and how degading for Hulk/Banner as a character in the source material). The Avengers are very much public figures; even without fighting Thanos people know who they are, whether they "worship" them or not. Again we are not shown Captain Marvel doing anything really public in the MCU. At best we can assume she did stuff; that's not really the same and it seems the show itself is not confirming such assumption. That is the problem in my opinion.

Not every show on CW is crap though...I'd take Superman and Lois, Stargirl and even Flash over this from what little I've seen...and not evey MCU show is gold. How I feel pretty much, but with the merger most CW DC shows are getting canned now, but the horrible ones are gone thankfully. The Captain Marvel praise in this show isn't a good thing since that movie sucked and I agree with him on the costume looks like it costs 20 bucks.

the girl herself is a bit chubby so I dont think any costume coulda made her look any better really without her working out and the showrunners prob didnt want to pressure her to do that especially in this progressive politically correct envornment lately. She's a good actress all the same though but yeah physically she is not giving off a superhero vibe; Kamala was also very skinny in the comics. no not really; she just happened to BE at the convention; she coulda put that bracelet on anywhere and acquired her powers. In the comics and in the video game; it was an event that happened which resulted in the Terregen Mist to escape and infect a whole lot of people. Here, its just a bracelet in a cardboard box along with other old family trinkets mailed to her house from grandma which her mom said 'was just junk and she told Kamala's older brother to store in the attic but Kamala went up there later anyway to take it to use for her cosplay outfit because the judges said to 'add something of yourself to your cosplay outfit to make it uniquely you' for the competition. And she put the bracelet on AT the convention which is what activated it once she put it on. So yeah she coulda put it on the way to said convention or even at her house right in front of her mom when she first saw it stil woulda happened.

The bracelet didn't have to activate there, no, but it is a good way to have ti happen and gives a backdrop for the Captain Marvel obsession that everyone seems to have a problem with. That's like picking on a kid because they like Heracross more than Shuckle. But collectively picking on the kid like literally scratching this kid with branches just for preferring a certain Pokemon. And not even other kids doing this, no LITERAL adults scratching and scratching because they feel like it. Heracross is a popular Pokemon so kind of a silly exampple. Let's say Volbeat instead. The kid in my examle prefers Volbeat over Shuckle. And you're all attacking him. That is what you're doign to Kamalka, because SHE likes Captain Marvel. It doesnt' matter how YOU personally feel about her. She isn't even aruging that a certain movie is her favorite or something, these aren't movies in the MCU. That at least could ruffle some feathers, but this? This is comppletely harmless.

Bingo lol I mean, yeah in the comics it made more sense since Carol had been around for years as Ms Marvel, originally the NASA secretary to Mar'Vell, the original Captain Marvel while prior to her becoming Captain Marvel in 2012, you had several aliens take the mantle of Captain Marvel, including MarV'ell's own son and before him, Monica Rambeau in 1982 right aftter Mar'Vell died of Cancer. So a year after Carol donned the title of Captain Marvel, Kamala Khan got affected by the Terregen Mist and became an Inhuman and took up the title of Ms Marvel, so that tracks since Carol had been on Earth for years. Whereas in the MCU, it doesnt make as much sense at all. It would make more sense for Kamala to be a fan of Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, or even Spider-Man, who literally is across the river from her in NYC and is also a teen. But since Iron Man, Black Widow and Cap are gone (as well as Black Panther due to Chadwick's passing), and Spider-Man isnt exactly easy to do for cameos and mentions because SONY, that leaves Hawkeye who already has his own fangirl (Kate) and Hulk who is dealing with his cousin She-Hulk now, Wanda's a maniacal villain, Strange when off world with Clea, Thor's off world with the GotG and dealing with She-Thor and Ant-Man has Wasp so theres that. Which then leads us back to Captain Marvel and the iffy "The Marvels" movie they want to make; and they know the public's perception of the character aint that hot despite the first movie selling (which was more due to it being shoehorned in between Infinity War and Endgame mostly), so any kind of positive marketing spin on her character can only help in their eyes so this shows here to do that even if it doesnt really make sense and feels forced.
