Credit to both Peyz and Lehends for stepping up and astro smurfing in the final, Lehends in particular. Even though ON really underperformed, Lehends was insane this series. Deserved MVP in my opinion.
I felt my hair falling off and my skin wrinkling watching that game 4. I was stressed for both of these teams like props to them for playing this well under that much pressure. And league of lehends holy shit he played so well.
@@humanoid60fuck off dude. Just don’t watch it then xD there will never be a good play without a Missplay. Negative Andy’s beeing bothered by better players not executing every little thing perfectly. The games were all 40 minute bangers, what else do you need xD
I must say this was the best league tournament in years by far. Extremely high level of skill by many teams out of different regions getting us to 4-5 game series over and over again. Riot should balance the game like this until worlds, so that lane swaps and more versatility with still be rewarding.
An argument could be made that the reason we get more 4-5 games is because the blue side is significantly stronger when lane swap is a thing. Because the red side usually gets counter picks but laneswap negates counter picks. This results in weaker teams having a higher chance of winning when on the blue side.
How can you say it was high level tournament when even in finals teams were trying to outshine each other in who makes bigger throw, which sadly won BLG through Knight and Bin reckless raid on the nexus.
Agree, At first lane swaps seemed to unfairly crowd out lane phase-oriented picks and strategies, making some champions(mainly K'Sante) seem OP. But teams continued to evolve, they found some counter-strategies(which includes swapping & re-swapping by themselves) with clever counterpicks. Overall, every single game and the flow of meta within the tournament were truely enjoyable!
He’s the best player rn… and has been for a while he just chokes.. but this year is different ig he found mr canyon and kiin in the woods and they smoke some zaza and got the power
Honestly MVP is GENG, all of them played magnificantly, shut down chovy but he has real teammates now to back him up, this series proves its a team game, congrats to LEHANDS mvp tho. BLG with biggest wombo combo with 10k+ gold down was insane, BIN + KNIGHT perfect pixel same timing camile e flash + knight flash to not get ball detached, maybe best series if this went 5 games.
GenG really messed with their mental game 2. Gave them false hope with the wombo combo, then few minutes later dive the fountain for a penta kill lmao.
Peyz got a lot of shit for struggling a bit this spring, but he's 18 years old and won MSI while dropping a 28 bomb.. That Lil guy will go so far it's crazy. He's honestly so talented, next Ruler easily
@AJ1703 highest international kills ever.. bare minimum. Adcs have limited agency, the job is to stay alive and output damage long enough that your team can hand you kills. Peyz makes that look easy, when it absolutely isn't against top teams. He's cracked as fuck
What's scary about this GenG roster is that they are some of the most consistent players in the league. You can never really count anyone out in any game.
Good catch, maybe they could’ve ended as 2. Still, Knight trying to end later vs senna instead of taking 3 inhibs was the mega throw, they got fixated on backdooring
Usually when someone picks Blitzcrank in pro, I don't expect much out of it since the amount of good performances haven't been much But the way Lehends just popped off made me think that it probably is the single best Blitzcrank game to date. It was unbelievably enjoyable to watch him land hook after hook after hook after hook
Blitz hard countered BLG's composition. Ashe, Varus and Xin Zhao are really bad against Blitz and I would argue that Orianna isn't that great against it, because Blitz can also be a huge problem against her, specially because against a tanky comp (Sejuani, Zac and Blitz) Orianna won't be able to deal that much damage. BLG lacked reliable damage like Syndra, because aside from top none of the BLG players were both good against Blitz or good against that GenG frontline.
Something funny about that game is that Lehends and Canyon were the best players in that game. Peyz did an outstanding job, but Lehends and Canyon smurfed really hard in that game. The 3 did an amazing job 🎉
This MSI finals is suffocating me whenever I watched the whole series, I can't breathe when anything could happen any moment... Proud to see mah boi Kiin to win his first International...
The best part is that the meta is about to change again, we could very well see teams like LNG and HLE at worlds with the next meta likely going to be focused around ADCs. Need Viper and Gala to showout on the biggest stage!
Meh Gala seems kinda in prison rn not gonna lie xd, I really wish Zika, Scout and Weiwei can go back to their last year forms and pls find a new supp, Hang and Mark are decent but they don't allow Gala to unleash his true potential. Would love to see Viper back at worlds and he is probably going to make it, HLE is probably the 3rd strongest team in LCK
Oh man what a great finals, I could not stay awake past the 3rd game as I was in pacific time watching this late at night with work at 8 in the morning( yes that was a rough shift lol), but I really doubt I would have fallen back asleep if I had managed to watch that 4th game live, what an insane last game. Gen G deserves the win, it was about time they brought the form they show in domestic to the international stage, even though there were a few close calls they clutched it in the end.
bro im also a fellow PST watcher. worlds quarters vs BLG was the worst day ive ever experienced both physically due to lack of sleep and the mental depression from seeing the geng collapse in game 5
Man I wouldnt want to be in Bins and Knights place in the last game, they knew they had to try for the backdoor, but base was guarded by Chovy and Kiin. They just had to stood and watch everything crumble…
What a series and man what a tournament. If this continues this gen g roster should be in the conversation with last year's jdg, Samsung white and ofc the best t1/skt years for the individual best 5 man team in history. Already sure this was the best tournament for me too by number of incredible games. Super happy for gen g and still super proud of my g2 for making us an international threat again. Props even to TL and psg for some competitive showings.
Even though I was rooting for BLG because I am a knight fan this was still an amazing finals. I did not expect the bot lane of GenG to step up this much. Kiin also a complete rock for this team.
Ima be honest, I always felt like Knight and Elk while being insanely good, were too overhyped this whole time. Knight not on Ahri/Jayce and Elk not on Lucian/Senna are way to underperforming. Props to Bin and Xun though. For GenG it felt like Chovy was kinda more quiet than usual this bo5, but still an insane tournament for him. Nice confidence from Lehends and Canyon, also unexpectedly well-handled pressure by Kiin, despite this being his first international finals. Banger series overall, well deserved for GenG and Chovy in particular. Kinda hope they show up at Worlds as well, too long we had to wait for Chovy to live up to his domestic performance on the international stage, it's time to deliver and dominate. Also sadge for Bin, his team is insane but it still kinda feels like he's in elo hell when it comes to MSI and Worlds
BLG are one trick merchants, the only one with a decent champ pool is probably On but he completely ran it down this series. Bin was there only win con but the problem with Bin is he is so one dimensional, needs to play carry top or he is giga useless and GenG shut him down basically 3/4 games.
@@dylanzchen blg being 1 trick merchants is very true and that Bin is their win con. When gen g figured out this, they 50% of the time disabled bin making the team fall apart
Okay lets not shit talk the second best team in the world currently. You guys are so pathetic. BLG is an amazing team, Elk and Knight are amazing players. GenG is just a megateam, lets not diminish their achievement by calling BLG bad. BLG is amazing, but GenG is spectacular.

1:22:20 canyon i know bot lane is the normal win con for a jg, but look what happened in game 4 when you actually involve chovy and your top laner in a fight. great turn.
Close series the most hyped bo5 since the year started . I think this is just the beginning of the golden road for GenG the only thing remain for them is worlds 😮
@valiboss2012 Keep in mind huge meta changes are happening and they almost lost to T1 this last split. They can do it but it wont be just win worlds. Summer split is going to be hard.
@@mhbplooni5848 Yeah sorry I was on copium but still maybe who knows the meta will be again for T1 idk I can see that BLG ,GenG or maybe even JDG would be back in summer these are the strongest teams right now even T1 if they improve their draft a bit
@@valiboss2012 Not just T1, HLE with Viper on an adc meta would be so hard to mount. Still GEN G favored because of their macro but it would be a really fun LCK summer split this year
@@gilgagimmickkingofheroes6416 "Still GEN G favored because of their macro" also the fact they have some of the best players in the world on there respected roles.
The camille + shockwave engage was amazing, but what blew me even more on that play was the synchronized flash between the two. It was pretty much perfectly at the exact same moment to keep ori ball on camille. It was beautiful
That game 4 was amazing GENG is winning but still struggling bcs of the backdoor BLG is desperate and losing but they almost win twice, maybe 3 times Both of the team are gambling with the backdoor and the backdoor prevention and I love it!!!!
I really can’t comprehend how some poor souls can hate on bin, top 3 toplaner for 4 years in a row with some of the most fun champ pool ever, but then i guess u are LCK fanboys who think every chinese player is a subhuman, good for you i guess
Just wanted to say.... I haven't enjoyed watching an international tournament this much in a while. Great competition with a few surprises along the way. Thanks for making League of Legends interesting and fun again with your casting, Caedrel.
The knight tp in game 4 when they stole baron just got interrupted by maokai ult, nobody saw that but they would have ended the game i think (hour 1.25) thats crazzyy! 😮😮😮😮
