The new MSI Stealth has been released, and just like the GS65 Stealth promises to be a great all around high performance laptop for those in need of something small, light, portable and not too flashy.
While being able to masquerade as a business class laptop, all the equipment under the hood screams high end gaming laptop.
One of the new features is the 300hz screen, boasting a refresh rate high enough to meet any demand, and the system is loaded with the best of Intel, Nvidia, Steel Series, Killer, and Dynaudio.

Good Review.. Can also you share the noise and temp of 2-3 hours of stress testing via maybe running a continuous loop? I have GS65 and it's hot - would be interesting if I can game on this for longer.

Would it be possible to measure the brightness of the screen? Some reviews are reporting that it's quite dim (less than 200 nits). Also since you're offering free repasting do you guys recommend a certain paste? I see that you have a few options. Lastly would it be possible to compare benchmark for this 6 core 2070 Super with the 6 core 2060 full fat? Thank you.

Hi, do you have any comments on this new 3 fan cooling system? What are your thought on reasons behind such approach?

Get review! How does this laptop cope without having free sync or g sync, does it effect the quality of the gameplay to a noticable degree?

I have the GS73vr 8RE Steath with a 4K panel and the 8750 i7 with 16GB 2666 and the 8GB gtx 1070MQ and i love it. picked it up off of ebay for 1280 USD about 7 months ago in mint condition with a warranty left. The only thing i did to it was put TG kryonaut on the GPU and CPU when i got it because i do that with all of my laptops when i get them. It dropped the temps over about a month's time around 7 degrees C max during AAA gaming. these stealths don't get enough recognition at all. they are super thin and light and priced very competitively. I slapped a 1TB 970evo m.2 and 1TB 850pro in mine and it screams. my only "catch" is that i personally think 1080p is and should be dead because once you start gaming in 4k at 60+hz, 1080p looks sooooooo bad. i'm a graphics snob, so i will never buy a laptop or anything that doesn't have a 4k panel. i turn eye candy down or off if need be just to be in 4k with higher FPS. i do have to go QHD on my stealth sometimes if push comes to shove, but if they offer this with a 4k panel and the 2080 maxQ, i will consider trading up for my gaming on the go. (for the debaters on 1080P vs 4K): i play FPS (warzone, battlefront 2, doom eternal, etc. etc.), and i have no problems in multiplayer and doing well online with 60hz in 4k on my desktops against other PC users and crossplay. sure, linus made a video showing that "professional gamers" prefer the 144hz+ screens compared to 60hz, but real world, no issues. i have a 70" vizio P hooked to one of my desktops and it does 120hz in 1080P out of 4k and the only thing i get out of it, is i have to turn my mouse sensitivity down a little bit with the higher refresh rate... another thing i will say about the stealth, is that the Max Q design really reduces power draw and temps but they REALLY reduce performance. my 1070 max Q performs like a desktop 1060(and less in some cases) and this 2070 maxQ is no exception. it will perform like a 2060 or even less, so you won't be hitting 300hz in really anything. to compare: my firestrike score on my main desktop (7700k @4.9, 1080ti FTW3 @ +50 core(2022mhz), 16GB 3400mhz CL15) floats right under 23,000 (7291 firestrike ultra best which beats 3dmark's newly released scores with a 9900k and RTX 2080 by ~600points) and it wouldn't even be able to do 300hz in 1080p in most if not all AAA titles with eye candy maxed out (and some turned down). That is just a heads up on the real world performance here. A 16500 in firestrike is the exact equivalent of a non OC 9700k paired with a desktop GTX1080(non Ti) for more comparison which is pretty awesome for a laptop! But, my point is, the panel is extreme overkill for the hardware inside of the GS66 specified in this video. They are all very nice and i love them and as long as you don't expect performance anywhere close to your gaming desktops at home, you will love the stealths too for gaming when you are mobile. nice video.

Thanks for the informative video. Do you know if you can charge/run the laptop with a 45w or 65w type c charger through the thunderbolt 3 port?
