Got this a few days ago, undervolted by 0.1v and edited my power plan so now I get high fps with my CPU temps barely touching the 70s. so good

What changes you did to your power plan?

@@kylelopez5699 power plan -> change advanced power settings -> change power plan to the one that is active during games which is usually ultimate performance or high performance -> processor power management -> minimum processor state -> change to 85% -> maximum processor state -> change to 90-94% save changes. sometimes the power plan is only shown when you launch a game, you dont make any changes to the "balance" power plan

@@subaehaitham no it doesn't. Though I havent put the speakers past 70% so maybe it would then. But they're pretty loud as is so I have no issues right now. Nice sleek well performing machine

looks sleek but 1. dim 300hz screen (go for the 240hz) 2. awful thermals ( apart from throttling it gets too hot to touch and the keyboard gets too warm. 3. no amd in 2020( which is a shame) 4. fans are way too loud 5. no g-scync 6. undervolting is complicated 7. the rgb keyboard has issues ( way too many) 8. build quality is not the best 9. the 300hz screen eats the battery which makes no use for the 99.9whr 10. backlight bleed is so bad

TXT KILLER, I am aware of most of these problems, still waiting for the new rog m15 to see how it does... I want to get a laptop for 3d modeling, but am somewhat on a budget, so I am going to get a rtx 2060. There are gigabyte Aeros, but I honestly hate where the facecam is, the coil whine issues, and the fact that I plan to buy my laptop from Best Buy, and the configs there are not in my favor compared the gs66

Beri Lousy ok, you might also check the acer helios 300 - it starts at 1200 with a Gtx 1660ti to 1700 rtx 2070mq - it has amazing thermals - nice screen (144hz fhd) - nice color accuracy - 32gbs of ram - and it’s light It doesn’t have the best battery but it’s amazing from everything else

@@noureldeinhamdy8163 2. It might get hot, but with these components inside the cooling is actually impressive (based on Jarrod'sTech review) 3. There is no AMD with RTX 2070+ yet anyway, so at least for games it's good (which is the MSI's main aim I guess as its 300Hz is for Esports too) 6. Undervolting is easily changeable in advanced options in bios 7. Might get fixed in the future 9. You can switch it to 60hz in their software

I really love the msi gs66 stealth, but omg, the fan noise is way over the decibel charts, Why does the fans go hardcore even on simple tasks??

Yeah I am returning mine. I simply think this laptop has components that are too beefy for it (RTX + i9). I mean its a good laptop, but it’s ridiculously expensive. I even bought mine at -10% off, still costing $3160. I can easily get a brand new computer with RTX 3080, i9 processor 32 GB ram. At that point I would have $1196 left for whatever else I might need lol. Can essentially make a computer that is around 3 times stronger for less money.

its a nice model and all that but, the same model with the same specs and everything identical. it costs 2200$ in usa it costs almost 2800$ in uk and it costs 3300$ in my country I guess i'll skip afterall

What about the display? I'm going crazy comparing the creator 15 and the gs66 If I understand correctly, the "gs66 10se 616es" (Spanish version) has i7, rtx 2060, fhd, 240hz and it's relatively good with color accuracy. The creator 15 on other hand "a10SD 276 es" has i7, 1660ti, fhd, 144hz and the color accuracy is similar. So between the two I was thinking that it's better the gs66 I know I could go with the creator15 and a 2060 but, correct me if I'am wrong, they only have 60hz, so... And I know that for creators the best is a 4k pannel but I like gamming too and 60hz seem low... I usually edit 4k video on fhd monitors and they run fine. And I only use one, so 4k seems too much. I don't care about the touch feature either Are any more differences besides the fingerprint touchpad and the sd card slot/usb type a? What do you think? Thanks!!

I want to buy one but the reviews on MSI honouring their warranties has put me off. I think I'll stick to Asus simply because I've been using them for years and had any problems I've had solved. I learnt early on any tech is completely useless without a proper warranty to back it up.

The i9 will tend to run at higher temperature and maybe overheat during heard work. If you want an i9 I would recommend a pc for better performance and better cooling

4900HS should be plugged in and liquid gold to dissipate heat, which can reduce fan noise, increase to six speakers, and use Dolby sound! This is the ideal machine in my imagination!

I'm looking for my first gaming laptop & I've been eyeing this one. My budget is $2,000. Is this the best or one of the best 2020 laptop so far for under $2,000?

It is a solid choice. All gaming laptops have limitations so do a little research and you will be able decide which limitations you can live with and the strengths you must have.

@@noureldeinhamdy8163 I actually went with the MSI GS66 Stealth. I got the RTX 2070 Max-Q & 240hz screen for $1,800. I actually wanted the one with RTX 2070 Super, but it was like $500 more & wasn't going to ship until mid June. All of the models were hard to find actually, I was keeping an eye on them all. The one I got finally restocked on Best Buy, so I just pulled the trigger. I received mine on Thursday & haven't had any issues yet, but this is my first gaming laptop ever, so I don't have any previous experience with gaming laptops.
