#marbles #mudlarking #metaldetecting We finished another week of some fantastic finds. Washed out mud revealed a score of vintage bottles, pottery pieces, marbles, milk glass and some mystery finds.
I've watched most of the UK mudlarkers, and decided I needed to expand my search for American mudlarkers. Well low and behold I landed here! I love that y'all metal detect as well. I'm following you now. Great finds. Than you.
I already it hit the like button before I even watch it lol love 💕 your vids from a 58 yr old sutrvivor of electric burns 🥵 watching you wishing it were me 🇨🇦
Wow Mary! You are the definition of Strength! If I could I would switch places at least just once with you so you could enjoy one of my hunts in person because I do truly love it. Thanks for watching Mary, hope I can continue to bring you even a little bit of joy. Be well.
Maybe where you are sailing men made bone and even whalebone thimbles for their girls onshore. Lots of folks losing their marbles down your way! Great little dinky perfume sampler....wonder if it's Shalimar? That says grandmother to me! Love your stress relieving videos and the birdsong is a bonus! Keep digging!
Just don’t lose your marbles !That thimble is cool. Mary 😇. What is it , the metal plate,? See? Don’t lose your marbles. So many bodacious finds! Sewing machine Another piece or two of beautiful metal! Excellent video… The birdsong was so perfect, and the marsh looked pretty today too. 😎
Hi, I’m better late than never watching today. I love the marbles and the tiny bottles. Everything is interesting that you find. Enjoy watching. Have a great weekend. Joy from Connecticut 🇺🇸. 😎. 🏹🎱.
Finally- Thanks for mentioning the Graphite rods. I've dug those over the years and had no clue what they were. The brass item.. RAY maybe Raybestos?? . Have a great weekend.👍
Love the bone thimble, the little bottles and the cobalt blue bottle. That little red bead had me thinking about Indian trade beads from that area👋👍. That building scene is terrific
Ugh I really want to do this! I live in Florida though and I’m terrified that a gator is going to jump up and get me while I’m scavenging in murky waters lol
My first thought on the mystery metal scene, was a crumb catcher/dust pan…the scene is definitely the Chicago World’s Fair (1933-ish)…I recognized it from when I was researching a mystery metal scene myself! Lol I did a quick search though, and I couldn’t find any souvenir pans or plates with the same edging 🤷🏻♀️ but maybe that helps you with your research! Thanks for another fun video!
Yes!, thanks so much. I could not place the scene. Amazing how much you learn just through researching items(that you are interested in) . Probably a tactic that would have helped me in school, lol. Thanks again my friend from Alaska!
@@underthesurface4435 anytime! Glad to help! And seriously! If they had taught history with mudlarking and beachcombing, I’d have gotten better grades 😂 I’ve definitely learned more about my hometown in the past year, from random things I’ve found, than I expected to! Lol and, I agree, it’s totally therapeutic! I’ve yet to figure out my metal detector, but there is so much metal on our beach (vintage landfill) that it’s really not worth it to bring it…I tried it out at an old picnic area once and just found nails lol my kids weren’t impressed 😂 one of these days 😂
@@alaskandistractions lol, always a tough crowd to impress, and yes the landfill I found here is tough on the detector, but great on tidal wash. Have a great day.
Green headed flyes, noceums, and the skeeters can be bad. I use a great organic bug repellent that works wonders, but does not discriminate….keeps everything away, humans included, lol. Thanks for watching, Doug.
Another awesome hunt!!! Love the finds...the thimble is beautiful, and I always enjoy the tiny bottles. Not telling what that bit of metal with the scene on it is, but it is amazing:)
Thanks Kathi, have not been able to figure it out, either. Buildings with a bridge in the background, some lettering on the bottom maybe describing the pic, but can only make out the word “travel”. Thanks for watching!, have a great day!
Thanks for the info on the marble, I’m a rookie with marble info but starting to build a big interest....just tested the thimble with hot needle test, coming up plastic, oh well, thanks for watching Paul!
@@marilyndreamwalkermejorado1208 hi Marilyn!, I’m in Nj, thank goodness we do not have Rattlers here. Plenty of snakes but not much to worry about, thanks for watching!
Hi Jean, My brother found the specs online how to make one and it is designed for water metal detecting. Very convenient when the hand shovel sifter is hard to manage in the water.
@@clairvoyant1290 just at a quick glance , it could be helpful to search some of those rivers that happen to be lower than usual. Sometimes you can find older bottle dumps on these rivers. Oklahoma Mudlarker seems to do well along river banks.
