If there was a 6.0 university, I'd enroll. Videos are great, but a lot of us are hands on learners. Your content helped me fix my hot/no start problem. Thank you for picking up the DIY 6.0 repair torch🫡
Thanks for the compliment. I needed it. Karen’s and A$$holes get me riled up sometimes being keyboard cowboys talking $hit. Thanks for bringing me back down from a rage. Glad you got your truck fixed.
Love the videos my shit died other out of nowhere scan gage telling me I have low ipr around 400!psi waiting on the new ipr valve hoping she lives again… new to diesel ur videos def helped me out
Exactly what I was surfing for. I have been running in circles on my 6.0 first was bad icp changed it then came long start.. then no injector clatter..ficm wire plugs not locking in. But once it started it ran like a top. Got new harness now runs like shit but starts up. I'm exhausted from the circles. An tips or ideas 💡 hopefully the long starts didn't Crack an injector.
Just got my first diesel. It has issues, I knew this going into it. I’ve done a lot of diagnosing that you talk about. I’d love to be able to call you up and ask you some questions.
Contact info is on our website www.automedicgarage.com I’m stuck in federal jury duty this week so I’ll call you when I can otherwise we’re in the shop mon-Fri 8-5 sometime later depending.
They must be getting sued for patent infringement or something. They are no longer for sale anywhere which means they probably have a cease and desist letter from a lawyer.
Really could use your help have a 06 6.0 jus got the forscan and obdlink reader what pids do I need to look for...truck was running fine and one day I cut it off to go to work and came back to it and it kept starting and shutting directly back off now it's to the point it will not start at all I've replaced irp and icp at this point but that is all what's my next step
Need to read icp, icp voltage, ipr duty cycle, FICM main power and FICM sync and hook a manual fuel pressure gauge up. Icp needs to hit 500 to crank, ipr should be at 84% until it cranks, FICM should be 47-48 volts and achieve sync once rpm’s hit 150 while cranking and icp voltage should be around .24-.27 volts. Fuel pressure should be at a minimum 45psi but optimally 50-55
Did you forget to put the link for that scanner tool I looked through Amazon site and couldn’t find one that looked like the one you had and the one that I’ve found Bluetooth said android phone only
Do you have a scan tool to pull live data and a fuel pressure gauge to check your fuel pressure? If so I can probably point you in the right direction?
How do you pull the drain back valve out without breaking the tangs? I pulled mine once before and if I remember correctly I think one of them broke off. Asking because I would like to pull mine and install a new one on my next oil change unfortunately I just did one this weekend and you just posted this video today lol. However I don’t have a long crank but my oil gauge imo I believe is building the same as it did in the video in beginning.
speaking of fuel pressure, does the "blue spring" upgrade make all the difference? and why did Navistar give a TSB for the VT365 and Ford did not? Great Video as always!
Yes blue spring is an excellent cheap improvement to help prevent injector failure due to the intensifier piston getting ruined from low fuel pressure. As far as why international did a tsb but ford didn’t I have no idea.
Awesome product! Quick question, 2005 6.0 gets a “waste gate” sound from the air filter after decel from accel. What is causing that? Will it damage anything? I’m a first time diesel owner so I want to get it fixed or told it’s fine. Thanks guys. I’ve watched almost every video of yours! Keep the very informative videos coming!
I’m about to replace all 8 injectors, dummy plug, and stand pipe on my 06 6.0. Where do you recommend get the best injectors from. I prefer new and not remanufactured.
I really enjoy watching your videos very informative. I got a question I'll change my batteries. I want to upgrade the alternator from the factory what's a good and biggest alternator you can go on to without having to replace the whole wire system? I live up North. Getting brand new batteries along with it. I seen some 230 amps but that might be too much. I think maybe 185 to 200 amps be safe.
I’ve heard Mecman? I think that was the name. Never tried one but my alternator/starter shop usually just upgrades the windings and improve whatever I send them.
I have a question, I did a rebuild, ARP studs,Ford OEM head gaskets, ford OEM oil cooler, it came with IPR research gen 2 delete kit(that delete mod it’s done on 6.0) M.Craft Glow Plugs,FICMs are good,I have 2,new ficm harness, new GP harness,Blue spring mod,new HPOP,New J tube Ford brand,IPR new not Chinese,ICP MC,EBP MC,majority of the engine sensor are new MC (Motor Craft) injectors rebuild internally and outside Alliant Power brand, batteries are new 12.9 Volts with ignition on, and my starter is cranking very slow, I mean very slow,it wasn’t doing that about 2 weeks ago, I had it running but it die and it was my injector seals I screwed up with the oil rail, so I replaced them, and now it’s cranking super slow, starter was smoking!!! What does hydro lock acts like or sounds like, I would hate to rip apart this engine again, I just ordered a starter solenoid and the brushes, I’m gonna try an rebuild the starter,it won’t be my first one, I’ve been down that road, I was taught old school stuff like repairing some things when it’s possible, please help me out, I’m a newbie on diesel.

@@user-ox9xf4hv6c I install reman all the time with no issues from full force or Ford or precision with no issues. The precision are actually flow tested and have a 3 year warranty. Not saying they are the best but I’ve had no come backs from them but a whole lot with the motorcraft.
@@AutomedicGarage sorry if this sounds redundant but just got my first diesel this week. Is there any particular brand you like more from Full Force? I’ve been looking at there site and there’s a lot to choose from and I have no idea what the best bang for the buck would be. Thanks
@@theworkenman1936 anything full force they stand behind as far as same day off the shelf when I need it the precisions aren’t a bad choice. I’ve never had any trouble out of them. Ford used to be the best choice but I’ve had hit or miss out of them the last year.
