Meanwhile back in 2010 Teen1:HEY KID YOU SHOULD BE SLEEPING kid1:AND YOU SHOULD STOP HOOKING UP WITH PROSTITUTES Teen2:how do you know what a prostitute is?
The golden age of gaming. Get back from school, throw my backpack on the floor, take my shoes off, get some chips and a soda and start playing. Who's with me?
This was my older brother's favorite game in the series. He passed in 2019 just before the reboot came out, which he was very excited for. Here's to hoping MWII will live up to what he would have wanted from a MW2 reboot!
did you play counter strike? when you said "rust" I had a flash of "de_dust" for a second. Sometimes people have 1vs1 knife fights in the underpass, hallway, or bomb location lol
As a 30 year old this was the GOLDEN ERA💛 of call of dutty . Kids these days will never know what this was back then. I wish i could go back in time just to live those moments again
"kids these days will never know what this was back then. " Lol, these kids will say that in 10 ish years, the most generic bland statement one could make.
@@Rokiriko It isn't really though. Two things can be true at one time. Each era is different. Its like someone who grew up in the 60's and 80's making that statement. MW2 was straight wild west internet time. I've gamed through the past decade, I played the best cods, the first and best BR games, league of legends in its first few seasons, some of the biggest MMO's, etc. All were special, but this era in gaming was truly something special. The communities are what made games like this, and at the time, Cod was really unrivaled in its community impact. It defined an entire era of the internet and laid the groundwork for everything people have today.
Wel..i'm 20 and i started whit mw2 and in my heard this is one of the best cod's to ever exist if not thé best ... It's sad how the games and soundtracks went from this to where we are now .....
FireArm15 dont stress about it, have fun, live in the moment. Thats how you make good memories. You can still be in the good old days. Its just different. Changed. And it will keep changing.
The Chainsaw WOW you had to buy maps packs? HOW DARE THEY make their customers pay for in game content that actually provides a new gaming experience unlike some stupid fucking weapon skin that changes absolutely nothing Plus you didn’t need those map packs. You could still access everything in multiplayer without them
Nostalgia is the worst best feeling to have. Playing this game again after about 6 yrs, even to this day its fun, a timeless masterpiece I am glad to have been apart of back then 👌
So glad Halo 3 came out, which meant CoD had to stand the fuck up and that Infinity Ward did, and I'm just thankful I was a kid at this time, cause playing this is a timeless classic.
I remembered when MW2 was talked in interviews on magazines and it was in development, back in 2009 I was 15, now I'm 28 and still remember those days... 13 years passed so quickly
661443992 13674 mw3 was for noobs, in mw2 it was much easier to handle multiple ennemies at the same time, all cods from bo1 and after were made for noobs: much slower play and restricted in your movements, plus you need more and more bullets to kill someone so you have no chance if you face more than 2 ppl, now in bo4 its like pokemon you have 150hp😂, you cant get more than 3 kills with a full clip of smg, lmao. this was made on purpose so if a player is better than the others its harder for him to rape the lobby like its deserved. and yes noobtubes and other stuff were cancerous but there are ways to counter. prob youre just bad. this is why mw2 is still the best cod but not recognized as so.
I can remember: - the bad mic quality - the constant arguing - join/leaving sounds - the animated killstreak icons Even with the arguing, we all had a memorable time. Even if those that argued met, they’d remember the good times regardless.
@@thetruerain_7902 I want it to be remastered cause MW2 was so good and the spec ops was the best and was the game always has re play value and the soundtrack was by far out of this world unbelievably lovely.
My friends and I also used to do that too a lot, we would brag about things like getting nukes or having a really awesome match or talking about failing super hard on something. I love those memories, some of the best times of my life years ago.
@Poseidon fr I wish that shit would die out, I just hope they remaster BO1 BO2 and MW2 for PS4 etc I know Xbone has BO1 and 2 I think but like still you get me.
Who remembers the time when: Friend: I'm better at you in COD You: 1v1 with the Intervention after school Friend: Ok, at 4 join me Man those were the days...
+Kyle Philipe its known that people that are aware about their insecurities tend to accuse others of having the same insecurities to make themselves feel better. which, is what you're doing. what can i say? you're just a kid anyway.
"Arent you thankful it's all just cosmetics?" No! When you had to pay, the content had to be good - or it wouldn't sell. Now game content is shit and MACROtransactions rule the day until the next in the series comes out. Even Modern Warfare wasn't as good. Felt like the same recycled corporate trash.
Staying up til 3am on saturday nights with my bro ordering pizza and playing team deathmatch and taking turns everytime we died, these were the days i will forever cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you MW2
@@bobtheraccoon318 Doubt there are any teenagers, escpecially not a 15 year old. I was 10 when this came out and I'm 21 now. A kid that young, well, they were 4 when the game released so idk about that lol. It's weird to think that for some kids out there, BLOPs 2 is their MW2. That was the last good CoD game.
I was chatting with a girl on ps3, we were pretty friend, we were playing together with the micro, she said "I have to go, see ya" it was 5 years ago... That's hurt
Hello, you don’t know me and I don’t know you but perhaps the new MW2 of 2022 brought you here but just know this. We both came here looking for the nostalgic music we remember from all those years ago, late nights and hurrying to get our homework done or possibly racing home from work to get on and play. Maybe one day we will meet in some distant call of duty game from now or maybe we never meet at all. But just know that we are brothers and will always be connected from now until the end of gaming and eternity..
Seriously when this game dropped. It changed gaming forever. COD4 was massive, but this was just incredible upon release. COD4's bigger brother. I can still remember the hype leading up to it, EVERYONE was talking about MW2, and it totally delivered. In the first few months after release the amount of people playing was insane. I played the absolute shit out of this game, addicted for months, everyone was. After school, everyone knew what everyone was doing, they were gonna play MW2. It was revolutionary. COD4, Waw and MW2 were masterpieces. Genuine Art. RIP Call of Duty 2007-2012
Cod4 was the setup, WaW was the appetizer while we waited for the new MW in a year (as it had zombies and was back in ww2) and mw2 was the masterpiece entree.
You're absolutely right this was cod 4's older brother , but I think the little brother did it better , sometimes simple is better 1.cod 4 2.mw2 3.black ops 1 4.waw
+AK GaMinG I have 2 1/2 months in hours in this game. Will forever be the best CoD in the series. With maybe the exception of CoD 4. MW2 was my childhood. Got it in 6th grade and never stopped playing it until senior year in high school. Bring back MW2!!!
Gaming in general just isn't the same. We didn't have memes and snapchats and vines. We had Call of Duty and Halo. The all out hatred the two communities had for one another was really something special when you look back at it. Now us, the ones that were apart of the rise, have all grown up and while gaming is still bigger right now than it ever has been i can't help but miss the frantic old days of getting off the bus and running to the xbox to party up. And what's crazy is that at some point we've probably played with each other. GGs boys! I hope to see you again!
NifeOO4niff last gen was the prime for multiplayer gaming , games like halo gears killzone uncharted battlefield were all in their primes . Everything was new fresh and innovative. Now developers are running out of ideas as we have literally seen and played everything and no matter what they throw at us it'll never be as good as what we once had
Im dissapointed i was 2 when it came out but now that i know about the series the lobbies are dead. Damn shame you cat get a match. Theres still loads of people playing mwr so why not mw2
James Hibberd lmao I was 3, luckily tho I still have my ps 3 and mw2 on it and everyone (including me) are quite shit so it’s really fun. But that’s if you don’t run into a hacker
@@jameshibberd5134 I was born in 2004 so I got this game in 2010 and the playerbase was still going. I sold my xbox 360 in 2013 for an xbox one. realised the xbox one was shit and then got a ps4. havent had a problem with that since. i then got a gaming pc and sometime in late 2019, in celebration of mw2019 coming out, i decided to buy mw2 on steam. decided to play multiplayer and man, the playerbase on pc is small but you can still find like 2 or 3 games on TDM. you might not be able to find a game on FFA. the other gamemodes are dead but in 2020, there are still ppl playing this game (on pc that is, idk about consoles)
Shame they didnt bother with actual names im mw 2019. Tf is a fennec? Im really liking the barr- rytec amr. They couldnt even be bothered to name the deag- oh sorry, the "50 gs."
No tears or sadness for me just nostalgia. Summer of 2011 aaaah after being sick for months with a stomach problem i got this and played it non stop all day when i was recovering
I can even hear me switching through the menus, damn, hits right at the top of the good old memories. Hope u all doing good guys, it was a pleassure to live those moments. 💚💛
This is finally back after a few days or weeks because mw2 multiplayer is going to remaster and we gonna relive the memorys but in a fresh remastered version😢😉
Damn im 25 and miss when all i did was play this shit. First online experience has a gamer and so glad it was. One hell of a first multiplayer game for me
God I’m about to cry back when life was fun and simple school was fun back then I had a lot of friends my family was fun and we didn’t have smartphones or social media video games were actually fun back then friends were closer and stuck together nowadays life is depressing..
fernando tovar All the games now are absolutely garbage compared to Mw2,Mw3,Bo1 and Bo2 like wtf happened to the call of duty games and now everyone is a absolute try hard no life like now games are no fun at all like every single day I have to try hard to win games and now games will never be same 😞
@@Jrg-we7yg Normally I would say this sounds like the stereotypical boomerish hatred of modern times but it's honestly so true idk what it is but something has changed with the people that play these games, that's just my opinion but it's what I think it is in my experiences. People played the Cods you mentioned as well as Cod 4, WaW and earlier Cods simply to have fun sure you had your share of campers and people that played in really annoying anti-fun ways but now it's just.... my god. I've been playing Cod WW2 a lot lately and it's actually a great Cod in and of itself, I'm enjoying the hell out of it the campaign is good, zombies is great and I'm getting addicted to MP but it's being almost ruined for me by like 90% of the games population just sitting in corners with the needlessly strong S-mines. There's so little variation in play styles and variety in matches now, and just the overall feeling of fun. Hardly anyone rushes or moves at all. Hardly anyone talks and when they do they're just being complete toxic salty fucks. That happened a lot in MW2 but it was different then, it was more so just to let off steam and have some fun most of the time most people knew that it was just going overboard because it was funny and we could, and the thing was it happened then because on MW2 almost everyone had a mic and was talking. It was just a much more lively and vibrant community. I have more memories of MW2 that are just people having genuine fun together than any others.
yeah life is too complicated now and a lot of people out there are jaded and fake af but im glad the og dudes have come back to relive these days plus the new online gamer is funny af
It’s fascinating how Mw2 memories give the same feelings to so many people... It had something unique, and I think it was the combination of sounds, musics, graphics, the community, the gameplay ... all of that together was just perfect, and I include also the bugs and the broken mechanics
@@lorezn9416 Holy shit. Never thought about it that way. Thats deep. The fact that a single game made thousands feel the exact same way is just something to think about
this brought back so many memories. i can remember all the times i fell asleep in the lobbies late at night while waiting for a match to start. im finna cry😂😭
Great memories.... 2009 such a great year to be alive 1v1 people on rust. i remember having to use a xbox 360 network adapter for wifi connection hahah lmao gaming to me just isn't the same as the oldies
What hurts the most about hearing this is seeing what the developers did to cod over the years. You can literally watch it slowly decline and die like a gangrenous toe. So sad
2007-2015 loading your xbox360/ps3 no stress just loading mw2 hopping on some multiplayer for a good 2-3 hours after going for trickshots with your intervention with fmj Then a random kid messages you trash talking so you setup a 1v1 on rust where it felt like your actual life was on the line the best days of gaming and life will do anything to go back "we did not know we were making memories we were just boys having fun"
Hopefully with the new MW2 coming out, we can make some new memories in THIS era. It'd be nice if it was just the OG's from the MW2 era and none of the Fortnite and Warzone kids join the lobby 😂
this idea is really deep,. i didnt know i was making memories.. until now. far ahead, 13 years passed like water and here iam iam with you guys... we remembering good old days and that is why i love true gaming community :) (maybe we are playing on some game too together and we even dont know it) :)
Ballist1cInt3nt Well i'm not, if it wasn't for Stopping Power i bet everyone would use Cold-Blooded. Just like MW3 Assassin is everywhere. I'd rather people use Stopping Power than Cold-Blooded Pro.
Well that is IW's fault. In black ops 1, the first cod for a while that went without stopping power, there were good choices for the 2nd perk slot like steady aim, SoH, warlord and hardened for example. Getting rid of stpping power was a no-brainer.
Ballist1cInt3nt I have to agree and disagree with yes it's IW fault, but think about it bo1 was the first game to not have Stopping Power and because of that everyone started using Ghost. If bo1 had Stopping Power in perk 1 more people would have used that. I think that Stopping Power brings more balance. IMO
One day we all hopped on this game for the final time during its glory days, not knowing that it would be the last. And now it’s faded into a distant memory. It’s been over a decade... All the OG’s who played this game consider yourselves extremely lucky for being able to experience peak gaming, gaming culture, and possibly the greatest game in regards of Multiplayer experience of all time.
I can't even remember the last time I played I'd guess maybe 2013 to 2014 probably a lil before the next gen came out but idk when the very last time I hoped on I wish I did tho 💔
kids nowadays get scared hearing a Fortnite Rocket come at them but when you heard that AC-130 missile fire and come down on you, that’s when you really shit yourself
Fr man, that crazy sound bite of that Russian dude shouting “ENEMY AC-130 ABOVE!” really made you feel so visceral, and that you were in the actual game, and you actually felt scared to die, because it was so loud & dramatic. Nowadays tho, you just get casual voice over’s saying enemy whatever the name of the equivalent would be on the COD in a low-key normal talking voice manner. No enthusiasm whatsoever, and it’s just like, oh woopdy doo lol, see if I care. Man we won’t ever have an experience of the likes of MW2 again, because a masterpiece like that just sadly wouldn’t be replicated in this day and age. It’s to much about money and sh*t now. COD has evolved so much over the years. In some ways good, some ways bad, but it definitely lacks that anchored foundation it used to have that made it great tho that’s for sure.
