My 400 square foot Manhattan studio apartment (furnished)

By far one of the best looking studio apartments I ever seen I love the way that you put that wall divider to separate the bed from your living area a lot of people don't do that you did it and it looks great it's just beautiful

This places looks good & so clean! I noticed the bathroom doesn’t look rundown/old. Idk why but that’s really important to me in an apartment 😂😂

Looks so good! I would suggest getting an over the toilet shelf unit, then you can keep all towels, toiletries and stuff in there with you :)

You've taken a small space and compartmentalized it beautifully to include everything you need I love what you've done! I would also suggest tweaking the closet for max capacity; upper/lower rods + a slim area for long garments. Organized shoe storage rack/shelves, and use bins on those upper shelves. Super-slim hangers they are a godsend, you will double your capacity right there. As well as hooks wherever you can fit them. Browse the container store, ikea, home depot for closet configuration ideas. Kohls & Target have great cubbies & closet organizers. Consider decorative wall hooks above the end table, so your jacket & handbag are easily accessible when you come & go. If the end table isn't a keeper, maybe replace it with a decorative basket or storage ottoman (extra seating) to store a few more items. The daybed seems to be working for you, but a future consideration might be an elevated (14-16"H) bed frame... then you could utilize underbed roll-out drawers/bins for daily access, or store zipped storage bags (or packing cubes, or luggage) for your linens, blankets, out-of-season clothes, boots, etc. A few hanging plants will beautify the space (faux is fine). If you hang a few from the ceiling hooks above the bedroom divider it could add a touch more privacy while still allowing light to filter through the apartment. You've done a great job making 400 sq. ft. feel spacious, comfortable, and inviting! If you decide to do any updates to your apartment, please post another video... That's a perfect division of space - this is the first apt I've seen with a pass-thru bar. I love them anywhere, but they are so functional in a small space. They should be in more apartments. This is a great layout & I'm sure when you are finished it will be fabulush!

It's real cute. I stay in Los Angeles my studio is (420), I pay $800 a month but I've been staying there for 18 years.Not moving love my place no kids no pets.🍸

Lots of storage, big kitchen, and the bed doesn't dominate the living space. All it lacks is in-unit laundry, but you don't expect that in a studio. In many of these videos, women have cluttered their apartments with decorative junk, and they ramble on about each trivial item. Here, everything in the apartment is functional and tour moves along briskly. Thank you for that!

I love it! As others have mentioned, modern, sleek, love the dark chocolate matte color of the piece that separates your livingroom from the bedroom. Lastly, the floors are fabulous!

One of the best apartments I've ever seen the way you set up the living room and separated the bedroom with that half-wall didn't make it look smaller just made it look really nice you did a great job

Love the Tub...massive CLOSET, an actual entry hall, and an enclosed kitchen instead of a kitchen counter 2 one side of the front door. I would have gone 4a Murphy bed, but I like that you tucked it behind the book case. As there's no balcony, a window seat surrounded by plants would bring the outdoors in. and if behind the bookcase either the bed folded up durring the day, would be almost like stepping out onto one. (You could even put down some artificial TURF). Great job and use of space!

Your apt looks very updated. The flooring really nice cabinets in kitchen nice tiles in bathroom. The actual lay out of this apt is great. Bathroom away from kitchen and living space. I love your sectional and the fact that you can put this in a smaller space and it still looks so spacious. Also love how you set up the bed area separating it from living room. Love your space and how you've decorated. Also love how you're open to other ideas of decorating but looks like you are doing a great job.

Wow. That is exactly how my studio is setup in Atlanta and same sq ft. Its the Exact same floor plan! Same entrance walkway, same bar setup into kitchen. Same closet and bathroom location You just reminded me to get some bar stools.

I think contact paper in the bathroom as well as the kitchen would be lovely! It’s rental friendly as well, and is pretty cheap in most areas. Love your layout!

Your apartment is adorable! I love the white bar stools! The divider between living and bedroom is great - you don't even see the bedroom area - just like another room.

Nice space. Maybe a small runner in the bathroom. They are flatter and can be washed. There are also textured shower mats that are cute and functional. I live in NYC too. Thanks for the inspo. 😎

Great use of space. I would love to see how tour lighting is set up in evening. Wall sconces or track lighting over the (fabulous) couch might be nice. Also, I'd definitely get sheers on the large windows to diffuse the light a bit and warm up that side of the room, but I guess the view at night is amazing.

I'm really impressed with the layout, everything seems separated unlike in other studios. The kitchen is also very impressive in size and style, plus the cut-out window to the living room keeps it from feeling like a closet :-)

You have done a great job. I'd be careful and not add too many elements but for colour I'd add just one cushion but a really extra large one on the sofa. (pale aqua?) The white shelves under the TV might look better in a beige colour. To draw the eye up because the ceiling seems high (which is good) I wonder if you could find an extra tall pot plant to add next to the one you have.

Oh. Forgot to say the huggable hangers are thin so you csn get rid of this thick bulky hangers. They save space. Then you could arrange your closet by category then by color. Hang All the shirts by color then all the dresses . Lastly a picture behind the couch. Your place is adorable. Then different color bath rugs to brighten the place up. I am liking how you are deciding how to use your space. It makes it seem so much larger. Since you asked for ideas, let me share my thoughts since I love to do this stuff. 1. A large canvas on the wall above the sofa will add color. Putting the TV on the wall a little higher ( not too much would work too. As for your bedroom. I can't imagine trying to watch TV that high. Is there a way of lowering it. Put it in a shelf? Also, a great piece of furniture to hold your make up, etc would make it seem less cluttered. And finally, take the label off the back of headboard.. great job finding such a nice apartment.

Very nice and spacious! I just love your place! If there is room over the toilet, you can add a small leaning shelf over it! You can store towels or bathroom items on it! Furniture should always have more than one use! You've utilized it well! 👍

I miss living in NYC...I love this space... also live in a studio...mine is 440 sq ft and mine is more square than rectangle and im a minimalist so I have plenty of room...but I would switch in a heartbeat if I could move back home...thank you for sharing 💙

OMG I couldn't imagine living in such a small space but you really used the space wisely. All I would do is put some pictures on the wall and window covering on the window 👍
