I am in the market for a handgun for the first time in nearly 20 years, and I cannot thank you enough for all of your content. Really has helped me narrow down what I am looking for.

p10f is critically underrated.

It's like this; if he gives a positive mention to one of the pistols I own than he is a an expert and his opinion is important and valuable. If he fails to mention any of the guns I own than he has no idea wtf he is talking about.

I'm super disappointed that Smith&Wesson didn't put the performance center trigger into the compact comp. They put the performance center trigger into the full size metal version but they put the regular trigger into the compact polymer version. I noticed it on their website then called their customer service and asked about it. A lot of people don't even know about that.

CZ pistols are amazing! You can’t go wrong with their striker fired or hammer fired guns. I’m currently carrying the CZ P-01. 😊

The Walther PDP is almost perfect out of the box ( sights are ok ). I bought the old lady the compact and it is awesome too.

my faves are in the next order 5- Sig P320 AXG Legion (metal frame and compensated, almost no recoil) 4- Canik Rival-S (best trigger for the money... get the Wasatch comp and it's a super flat shooter) 3- Shadow Systems DR920 Comp (is everything you wish on a Glock without destroying your pocket) 2- Walther PDP ( any model would do, but if I had to choose, then the Steel Frame Pro with Performance trigger) 1- Walther PPQ Q5 SF Pro ( best trigger in the market at the moment) See how I didn't added the P10 F from CZ nor the S&W M&P9 2.0 Metal Spec Performance Center (green one) I have the TS2 with a 2 lbs trigger competition pistol, extremely hard to beat. As for the S&W, I had it and I sold it because my Tisas PX9 Gen 3 Tactical has a better trigger.

Now that's a pretty solid Top 5 striker list.

I have the Canik TTI. I was having issues with light strikes and no strikes every 3 rounds. Sent it back to Canik, got it back within 3 weeks and worked flawlessly since. Great customer service

I would agree that the M&P series and the PDP series are my favorite pistols over the last few years. The features right out of the box are worth the money.

I just subscribed to this channel because of the very detailed gun reviews and gun news but primarily because out of all the other channels you actually are shooting the gun fast and well.

Pretty new gun owner (1 month) I went with a p10c and I don’t regret it for a second. Paid 399 for it and would do it again. I only have 600 rounds through it, 3 different types of ammo, with zero malfunctions… it’s eaten everything I’ve fed it.. I really want the m&p and the Walther pdp

I'm astonished that the market just now caught on to making handguns light recoiling and easier to shoot. It's wild how major gun manufacturers overlooked this aspect of the shooting experience for so long, and now after decades they're just now paying attention to it by adding compensators.

I watch a lot of gun experts on RU-vid, and though all of them are good. Chris is the absolute best. He is just one of those down-to-earth guys, with a great sense of humor, that you think to yourself, “man I wish I could hang out with him”. I appreciate all you do Chris and I love your videos! 😊🇺🇸👍

i love my M&P's a lot, im glad it made your list. i love your reaction when you said you tried the PDP SF match. i recently purchased a walther Q5 SF match and i had the same reaction. when my wife fired it for the first time she shot 3 rounds and then turned around and told me that we need to buy a lot more ammo. best and funnest pistol ive ever shot, and i will likely eventually get the PDP SF match, but right now i love the Q5 SF so much i dont think i will ever want another pistol unless for collecting purposes

These reviews always make me remember firearms I've forgotten about because of all the awesome choices we have.

After watching several of your videos I finally chose my new truck gun. I went with the Canik MC9 with a Holosun EPS Carry and a Streamlight TLR-7. I ran several different types of rounds through it with no issues.

If you've never tried a (good) Silicon Carbide texturing on a pistol (I can probably fix #2 for you if you'd like), you should give it a shot. I've done it on a few of my pistols, and have been extremely happy!! Yes, I understand that it's permanent, but that's how much I like it. I'm not a shill for any particular company, but have been getting my supplies from this one guy with a 71 in his company's name, and been super pleased. Just FYI. Great video as usual...Thanks much for the awesome content!!!

I agree with the S&W M&P Comp over the Canik. I trust the Smith’s pistols (revolvers too) over any other firearm except maybe Glock for reliability and parts galore

TTI on a budget…get a Mete SFX Pro. Add a comp (I got the 45 blast tailored to my SFX Pro) and add brass back strap and brass mat well. Come in 2-300 cheaper and do all the same. And when you are the brass you get most of the Rival S weight into it. Love mine. Favorite weapon I have.

I guess we all become a Fan Boy of some sort. CZ is my go too. Building a P10F now. My P10S was fantastic, with a bit of work it is amazing.

my top 5 would be M&P, Walther PDP, Taurus TS9, Steyr L9, and CZ P10F so I would say our lists are very similar. Great video

I love a good top 5 video. I know it’s not really your thing @honestoutlaw but I always thought it’d be cool idea to see a 50 states/ 50 bushcraft loadouts for each state. Since the topography changes you’d have to consider, weight, weather, utility… etc. Just a thought

I completely agree M&P 2.0 especially with the apex flat trigger is the 🐐 striker fire guns. Literally gives you a 1911 type trigger pull love my M&P!

New gun laws in my state Western Australia means we can only have 5 pistols, I think I may need to shed my Steyr L9 A1 for either the TTI or the M&P. Yes we do have guns in Australia but we are limited to 10 round mags . Love your work cheers Chris.

Just so you know, HandleItGrips now has a grip for the S&W 2.0 metal to fill in the spots that you've always wished were textured. They're pretty sweet.

I'm from Illinois but lived in Iowa City for about 20 years in my early 20s and had a real good time. My older sister is married to a man from Iowa...my nephew's middle name is Nile after Nile Kinnick. We'd go shooting out on my buddy's dad farm/property and it was the most beautiful and peaceful thing ever. We'd go out at night too and drive out into the country and go on what we called "gravel travels" we find a gravel road and just cruise down it listening to music until a guy warned us that his uncle might like us being on his land lol.

I have that PDP and the M&P 2 (w/Apex Flatty). Phenomenal pistols for the price, I haven’t touched my Glocks much in the last 2-3 years.

My CZ p10f is so smooth. I also love my Springfield XDM Elite 3.8 OSP.

That M&P 2.0 Carry Comp is amazing! My favorite striker fire as well, and I only have about 150 through it. It’s better than my Shadow System with Radian Ramjet, and that’s an awesome piece as well.

My new favorite is my Stoeger STR-9F Combat I just picked up.

Couldn’t agree more with #1, I absolutely love my Smiths and want that one new one bad.

Your number 1 Pick makes me want that gun even more than I already wanted it and I didn't think that was possible. I want the gen 5 17l too but that smith comp is just awsome. I have the last 2 years of the spec series guns and they are amazing. Hopefully you get a hold of the s&w shield comp they came out with. That might be your new edc instead of your old shield.

I would have to say, personally, S&W is killin' it this decade. The performance center lineup is what dreams are made of. Walther PDP lineup is up there too. Never owned any other brand. I always think I should get a Glock, especially since so many are trading them and the prices are low because of the glut. But, S&W makes another "gotta have", so . . .

Canik Steel, vs TTI, vs M&P for match guns under 1000$ that don’t need upgrades is a tough decision

I’d have to say I disagree that any glock comes with a pretty good trigger or feature set. At least these days.

Shot shot the Carry Comp Metal for the first time. Love the pistols!!! by far the best line of pistols for the money. I dont feel a difference between the Metal trigger and the performance trigger. M&P is by far superior to the Glock line!!!

Glock 45 is one of the best all round Glock for me i carry a czp09 daily but the glock is prob my fave

There was a ported/comped m&p 1.0 with v ports. I had one. It was also a PC CORE version.

The Taurus g3 is a great low budget high quality striker fired 9mm

I can’t wait for a 3.6 comp series, or maybe fingers crossed smith and Wesson makes a shield plus hybrid with the 2.0 grip module with a g13 rail system, and the comp serrations!

Would love to see an accuracy comparison between Shield, Shield Plus, Compct 3.6”, regular Compact 4”, full size 4.25”, and 5” M&P. Some of us can only justify 1 or 2, and it would be nice to see how much shootability/accuracy suffers/improves with length.

No suprsing ... Given that Smith, Walther, Glock, and CZ are the big 4 of polymer handguns... Literally the best possible choices... I would put HK in #5 spot but at that point we are splitting hairs ...

P10 series and M&P 2.0's are the most underrated striker fired handguns

I recently bought a used Glock 34 for a project piece (your Jagerwerks 34 was an inspiration) and i just put in the Glock performance trigger with the Johnny Glock vex shoe. I have a PDP Pro with their dynamic trigger and it’s pretty comparable now. Highly recommend.

M&P needs a better designed grip shape… plus the rear serration should have matched the front. 👍

Smith & Wesson; please, please, please make a steel frame, 5" version of the M&P for competition shooters!

I really want to like the Sig 365 more than the M&P but the M&P line of pistols are really nice.

U should do a comparison video of the 5" ported PC and new metal carry comp. I ended up selling my metal carry comp because the 5" ported PC shoots noticeably flatter and faster.

I carry a shield everyday. Love it. I run my p10 suppressed for a house gun. Bueno!
