Hi, welcome to my IPL journey! I remember having so many questions about IPL before I got mine so hopefully this video of my first impressions & review after 7 treatments is useful if you're wondering whether IPL is for you

You don’t necessarily have to look away, that’s why the light only activates when the machine senses that’s completely covered by the skin :) Nice review🙌🏼

When I feel hot and little bit hurt I always use cold get pad. It doesn’t help

Does the precision cap have a filter like the philips one? I am afraid to use it on sensitive areas. I don't want to go for philips because it is way slower.

Georgette G. Haleem hi, no I don’t believe it does have a filter. I’ve found it fine on sensitive areas but obviously everyone is different!! I do find this one quite speedy though ☺️

Hiya I just had my first session! Just a question about cleaning the heads, it says to clean any black spots you see with a dry cloth but they don’t even seem to come off! Have you had the same problem?

Triska Miran hi, ooh I haven’t seen any black spots on mine!! But have been wondering what to do about cleaning it as it says not to clean with a wet cloth but I dunno how you sanitise it 🤔

Hi pretty lady i have a braun ipl pro 5 which i just received a few days ago and didnt use it ,i have a question how many days we should shaved before using the laser?can we use it after shaving or wait for a day or hour?thank you for answering..😘🙂

Les Alibio hi, yeah you’re supposed to do it right after shaving, just make sure you’re fully dry then you’re good to go ☺️

Hi there, I was wondering if you could help answer a question. I purchased this iol machine from eBay, I was wondering if it’s genuine so I contacted Braun, they asked me if there’s a number when you pull off the head part, however when u pulled off the head/cap there was no number on that part, does your machine have some sort of members on your machine. If you could get back to me on this question then I would be very grateful.. thank you.

Min Misty. Hi, inside the head there’s what looks like a QR code (but rectangular) but no number anywhere on the machine that I can see. Hope this helps

What is the app called? I can't find it in the Play Store. Good video. I have the pro 3 and used it 3 times now. Still waiting for results but already very happy that is absolutely not painfull 😊

Sarah El Sharnouby hi, yes they say you can use it on your face, results will depend on the darkness & thickness of your facial hair. I haven’t tried it yet as you shouldn’t use IPL alongside any sun exposure so I’m planning to wait until autumn and then try!

Thank you for this thorough review. I am doing a bit of research on this device and just about to order it. My question is: on bikini area is this as effective as it is on other parts in terms of reducing the hair and its thickness down there?!

lakeboww no problem! So I’ve found after 8 or so treatments it’s thinned the hair and in some places the hair doesn’t grow back now but it’s patchy - I’m thinking after more sessions it may remove it!! But probably needs more sessions than elsewhere, which I guess makes sense as it is thicker! Cat x

@@CatLScully I will :) Just a question: there are two different models of braun ipl silk expert pro 5. One is PL5014 which is the older generation and less expensive and PL5137 which is newer and more expensive. I couldn't find any technical differences except having slightly different attachments and colors. I was wondering which one is yours? Thank you again for reading and answering.

Depending on your skin tone down there, generally yes but I’m not sure they advertise it. If the skin tone is darker it may not work/it may be damaging so be careful

This is not a laser. It is an IPL. Intense pulsed light. It is so so important to say exactly what it is. Laser and IPL are two different things.

Ipl is intense pulse light not a laser

It also is only useful in hair that's dark because it requires melanin to heat up the follicle and burn it

Hi, I'm not 100% sure to be honest! I know you can use it on your face from cheekbones down but as your skin on your neck is thinner I'm not sure & wouldn't be qualified to say! Same for your boobs, I would say anything near the nipple you couldn't as the skin is darker there. For the rest of the skin on your boobs I don't see why not but again am not qualified to confirm and would hate to give you the wrong information!! x

Merna Adel hi, yes they say you can with the precision head - depending on the thickness / darkness of the hair it might be slower though. I’ve not tried it on my face yet - waiting until autumn as they don’t recommend using it alongside any sun exposure!
