Hi. Do you know which model it is exactly please? As there are a few models on the links Ruth gave. I have asked a few times but I haven't had any replies. Many thanks if you can help.

Bella Chance This is the silk expert pro 5 model. I’m considering buying one of these and was confused as there are different model numbers like the pl5137 pl5124 pl5014. From what I’ve researched, the pro 5 model is the same but the different pl numbers are the different accessories you can get. So the pl5014 model doesn’t come with the small head attachment. It’s seems like you’re either paying for the deluxe pouch or the normal pouch that comes with the different models. I can only assume they put different model numbers on as a marketing ploy to make the customer think they are buying a newer model for example, model pl5137 seems to be the newest one but it’s not really, it just has a newer pouch and the razor is the same as model pl5117. For all of these models, they are always different prices on amazon so you think the most expensive is the newest one but it’s not as they are all the same silk pro 5 device. The only one that is old, is the silk pro 3 which is a purple colour device. I’d say just pick the model that has the accessories you want. I will assume the Ruth has the model with the deluxe pouch so pl5137 Hope that helps 💕

Can you use it on your face ?

Yvonne killa - yes, I have one and you can. You can’t use it on the eyes and above the eyes (so cannot use it on eyebrows). But you can use it on upper lip, chin, side of face etc.

Yes I still do! They are a wonderful brand. I think that brands like Inkey List and Ordinary have sort of disrupted the sector with incredibly affordable stuff, but Alpha-H have some beautiful formulations. Their sunscreens are excellent. x

Jane Mackrell - I have one and yes, you can use it after either shaving or waxing or plucking your hair. Just zap away. The important thing is to remove the hair before you use the device, so that the light is concentrating upon penetrating the hair shaft (as I understand it). I can only say that prior to getting my device, I was a waxer. I would make sure everything was freshly waxed before I used the device for the first time in a cycle. Thereafter, I’d shave. It worked.

I have the same Ipl. No, you can't zip on tatoos. The ipl is targeting the pigment.. You don't want to get burnt... But with Braun ipl it is not even possible to use on a darker/tatooed skin because of the skin tone sensors.

Yes you can use on face but below the cheek bone. Nowhere near ears or on top of the lips. Can do above lips.

So im 6 months in im very pale and dark haired had had lazer done on bikini and underarm few years ago did a great job topping up those areas but felt i had to go back to weekly on my legs but totally smooth now dont feel any underlying hairs anymore!

Not recommended to do on the forehead. People seem to use that Hollywood browzer dermplaining tool to remove head from the forehead. And no it won’t grow back thicker/darker. 💕
