Being A Scottish Highlander, i am used to the beauty of nature and also, being a Highlander, i am used to a more laid back pace of life. I love seeing you enjoy your food. You are a true italian. Lovely to see you back in Friuli and enjoying the mountains. Happy for you, that after such a long time you get to be home with family and showing us more of your home region. Hi Mary Jane, I've really been looking forward to how you intended to present your province and homeland, as well as any other little excursions you might decide to take us on. I know that when you are passionate about something, that is maybe thought provoking, or dear to you, you always manage to make an artistic statement about it. This particular video was perhaps a less planned occasion, but I think you had a fair idea of what to expect, and I'm sure your instincts didn't in any way disappoint you on a personal level, about what you came away with. I can see on one hand, that there was no real expectation, of what was leading up to this concert in the mountains, but I think you instinctively knew that there was going to be an interesting way to frame this. Well, I think you managed to follow through perfectly on some of your ideas, and they were helped by a very impressionistic performance by this wonderful cellist!. The drone shots in particular, left a very distinctive, and artistic impression of this area, and we are left with the feeling, that we would like to connect with this land on a deeper level, and understand everything about it. Your dad certainly added to this sense of curiosity, with his tales about these bird catching traditions, and whether it was planned this way or not, I came away with quite an interesting impression of this place. Thank you for taking us along, and I hope that you personally had an even more immersive experience, by being there!. Look forward with anticipation to more... Thanks MJ.

Another beautiful explanation by your father! I didn’t even know these kind of ingenious bird-trapping devices existed! Very interesting!! Just this morning I was practicing on my bass clarinet some pieces from the same Bach cello suites as Riccardo was playing at his concert. Not a big coincidence though: I play one or two of them every day because I like that music so much 😊 The range of the cello is about the same as that of the bass clarinet. Watching this video made me realize how excellent your idea was to take the drone with you to Italy. You make this drone footage into a whole new form of art! Are you now in Padova? I saw some clips of Padua on your Instagram page.

Well there's another weight to place on the scale of whether I buy a cello or a violin in the cello's favor......such an awesome instrument......been thinking of getting one for awhile. Was hoping your video's in Italia were going to be like this. The beautiful green scenery.......music in such a gorgeous setting. I'm so jealous.....will have to look for similar events in my area. About a week until my "isolation" period is over after receiving my 2nd vaccine shot. Can't wait to go out places again feeling at least somewhat safe. But for right now.....for some reason I'm craving apricot preserves and crepes.....and I just happen to have the necessary ingredients.....so I'm off to spoil myself a bit and probably get sticky.
