🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yes! All the boost! Going on 17k TikTok followers! It's insane! Hoping to feature Arrow on the channel more as we build out the farm!!! Probably mostly cuddling baby animals 🤣
Thank you! It's about to get stalled by the need for actual money instead of just physical effort. Electrical estimate is in and ouch! 🤣 It's actually a good price for all the stuff that needs to be done but it will take a bit to save it up.
You just came on my fyp on TikTok and not only do I love renovating, I also live in Northeastern MA- about 5 minutes from Seabrook and 20 from Hampton, NH. I had to come see what you're getting yourself into- and support you while you do it. 😊 We bought our "fixer-upper" forever home back in 2018. It was built in 1850 and we love remodeling. We are currently working on turning the attic into a small studio (fully functioning) apartment. Our kids are going to be old enough to have their kiddos soon and we wanted a place for them to always be welcome and comfortable while there. I'm excited to see what you get done in your place! 😊
Living through all your hard work and improvements. We won’t even get to start until May. Congratulations, cannot wait to see all the growth and changes. 🎉❤
Good for you though! You have a project waiting in the wings! This will take a while to do as I have to save up for the repair work as I go. So probably won't be done until summer.
I say creamy white with just a hint of your favorite color for main color, then use favorite color as accent wall/cabinets/back splash. etc. The white will make everything seem bigger and the accents will really POP. ♥
Much better! Just need to get the dumpster so we can get the busted couches, mattresses and old bed out, and start scrubbing! Then we have to wait a while so I can save up the funds needed for the electrical and HVAC repairs. Then we can get to fun stuff like painting and then flooring!!!
Yay! Teamwork makes the dream work! So grateful to see your daughter there helping you! How awesome is that! Blessings on your day Kiddos!🥰🌻🐛💕ps still 🙏
She's going to be coming to live there too and is contributing to the repairs from her savings. "Better off invested here than given to some random landlord and you've sacrificed so much over the years taking care of us I'm happy to be able to give some of that back!" I knew all those pony parties I worked to pay for their riding lessons would make an impression! They have the right outlook on life!
@@WickedAwesomeGardening So so thrilled to hear that you will have her there with you! You are so very blessed. I have been praying that you would not be there alone. The best thing about getting to live out your dream is to have someone sharing it with you. Blessings on your evening Kiddo!🥰🌻🐛💕🙏
I prefer the one on the left. Since it is kind of a dark color, what about using it as an accent wall color? Either one of those blues would go nicely with a pretty light gray or white. This way, you get to use the darker color without making the room feel smaller. Btw, I'm your cousin, Kris. Congratulations! 2 Acres for $50,000 is an awesome deal around here now.
Oh hey!!!! And thank you for being one of just 2 people who like the color I like 🤣🤣🤣🤣 There is so much white with trim and ceiling and cabinets I don't think the darker color will make it seem that small...
@Wicked Awesome Gardening yeah, if the trim and ceiling is white, then it won't be as dark. As for liking the colors, I like blues, browns, greens. Bright reds, pink, and neons ... not so much.
We are about to dive into a mobile home Reno that we have rented out for the past 10 years to some not so tidy tenants. Our daughter, her husband and our 10 month old are doing the same as you. Moving in to save money then sell the mobile home and put up a modular home! You are our inspiration!! Keep up the good work, it will pay off in the end💕
Sometimes buying the ugly house is the smart move!!! This place isn't perfect. It's likely not my forever home, but for now it's mine and I'm gonna make it wonderful!
@wickedawesomegardening on TikTok! I don't know how long the insane rush will keep going but I mean, 18,000 followers in 4 and a half days? Kinda bananapants
Nice progress. Your daughter is lovely. I love color, too, however, I have a small mobile home as well so I went with Country White for the living room and hall and then colors in the bedrooms and bath. I'm excited to see what this turns out to be. So great that you are documenting your progress.
I would use this in the bathroom or my bedroom but they are parts of the house that get the least light so the rooms would be SUPER dark. I'll have to go for a nice light color there
Rebekah mentioned you a while back or I came across you in another channel a while back and did not realize I had my notifications off but was subbed. Wicked cool that you have a mini homestead of your own now. I lived in MA for 38 yrs and moved to FL 13 yrs ago and hate it here. I so miss New England, but being disabled and on ssdi I was priced out and now being priced out of FL also not very welcoming. I look forward to what you do to this old mobile home and how you get your garden going again as well as the chickens. Have a wonderful day and watch out for those wicked bad drivers lol.
Aw, thanks for coming back and checking me out! I really thought I was priced out of New England too and then I found this place just sitting on the market cuz too many people were afraid to take it on!
I literally almost bought the sapphire color today for my kitchenette cabinets, lol. For our auxiliary kitchen downstairs. I decided on something else in the end, but I was seriously considering it!
I love it! Everyone in my poll is saying Blue Beads but honestly my upset over everyone picking that one tell me just how much I LOVE the Glass Sapphire! 🤣
Well... Ro helped. Bug was part of the problem having used the bathroom in many areas of the house. Thankfully she mainly used the bathtub and the massive pile of clothes the people left behind on top of their trash piles
Well I didn't get to painting it til just a couple weeks ago so you aren't that late! I decided not to go with the blue's at all! (Although Blue Beads did make it into my bathroom!) I opted for a pale green instead and I'm sooo happy with it! Stay tuned cuz I'll have a video out soon!
Hi Dani!! I love that you are doing this YT channel!! What fun this will be to watch you do your magic on this property!! I lived in Nashua and went to New Hampshire College (when it was called that) in Manchester and love that part of the country!!!! I hope to learn some gardening techniques from you too!! Lots of love from Wichita, KS!!
@@WickedAwesomeGardening Hey!!! Regarding the blue - check out Sherwin Williams’s Sea Salt - it’s one of those mid-tone blues that looks grey depending on the light - very “spa-ish” and soothing! It may be the slate blue you’re looking for and would amazing with a dark blue wall cabinet. There’s a YTer called “The Paint People” and he does a nice job regarding paint selections.
Yeah I ended up deciding people were right and it was too dark. You can see in the video I put out today that I went with something totally different and I am really glad that I did!
Well, I was glad to see you both wearing masks. Before you know it they won’t be necessary anymore. I too bought a ‘fixer upper’, but it wasn’t in quite the bad shape yours is. However, the entire place had been spray painted a flat powder blue inside and out. I’ve done electrical work, plumbing work and painted everything. Both bathrooms and kitchen have had poor mans renovations. (Replacing what I could, painting what I could and doing counter top treatments. Not to be a downer, but all told it probably took me three years to get the place close to how I wanted it. I cut corners where I could, but when something had to be done I did it. Mold and mildew under the kitchen sink, in the wall behind the clothes washer and even under the linoleum in my closet due to leaks from my shower right next to it. It’s been eleven years and I still make changes. Last summer I removed the tiny double sink in the kitchen and installed a nice big single stainless steel sink that included things like a cutting board, drying rack and more. It’s never ending, but I always had a vision and clearly you do too. I look forward to watching your progress. Nice to see your daughter helping. I have three sons and they would all pretty much do anything for me in a crunch, but I got more help getting my house renovated from my dog. Hope things work out with the neighbors. They could be concerned because of who might have lived there before. Just a wave is a good start. They could have completely ignored you.
Yeah my girls don't know how to do much when it comes to construction/diy renos but they are up to help with whatever they can. My eldest here in Thai video will be moving in with me. So she's not only lending a hand in fixing it up she's also contributing to the repair fund! My plans for this place are pretty simple. I'm looking for habitable and cozy but it's a temporary space for us. We will get the main unit move in ready, get the mortgage paid off over the next 3-5 years while working on finishing the half built addition on the back. It's laid out to be a 540 SQ ft 1 bedroom apartment almost. So when we are ready to build an actual house we can move back there, sell off the mobile home, build the house, reattach it with a breezeway, and have a home with an in-law/rental unit! Skyrocket the property value!
Yeah, I'm going to use the sample cans to paint a larger area and some trim so I can stand back and get a better sense of them. I know everyone is going Blue Beads but... My heart says Glass Sapphire 🤣
Oh that is absolutely true! 🤣 But we are stalled a couple weeks now while the electrician gets some work done! I gotta keep my excitement going in the meantime! But yes, paint is the absolute last thing that will happen before we move in.
