We would get our equipment from the flea market, remember the pyramid brand? My boy told me there was a guy that did car stereos and we needed to talk to him. From the first time I met him I was hooked. I was at his shop so much my wife thought I was cheating on her. My first real system was a Clarion pro head unit and Alpine eq/crossover . Soundstream amps and Boston Acoustics speakers. That truck was a legend….. in my own mind 😝
Ohhh maaaann, Pyramid 🤣🤣🤣. What about Thump 🤮😄😄 If it weren't for swap meets, we'd probably never know car audio. Real shops (Al&Ed's) was way too expensive for me. Your first real system was awesome. I made baby steps with Fury amps and subs, and actually won dB drag racing competitions with it. Then I stepped up to MTX, Orion, PPI, Cerwin Vega, and the rest is history.
😂 my first system was also a flea market setup outside the woofers. Blunkpoint desk and amp, Sony 2-way two ( 4x6 ) in the front with two ( 6x9 ) in rear window deck. But my subs was two 15' vega's in a sealed box I got from the homie for helping him steal someone's mini truck 🤣
Urban was a line of targa,was actually decent entry level stuff cimpared to my early days of rockwood,kenford,alphine.😂i started in 1985 tho,i sold ny shops,and retired,getting back into it a little. Im blown away by todays budget stuff...CT sounds,skar,stinger,taramps,etc....i think my first system was craig,kraco,sparkomatic😂,into realistic,pyramid,mtx,to linear power,orion,rf.keep up the cool stuff brother

😂😂😂 like you are telling my first audio system. Only my no-name sub was black with an ugly purple surround. Had a self-made "tube" made of strips of 10mm mdf. That freaking thing had 8 corners, not even round. Piezo chinese tweeter on the dash, on the b pillars. It was sounding hiss, boom, hiss.....
LOL you still have the EQ...wooow! I usually sell my gear when I upgrade, but I' m gonna stop doing that now. I've sold so many great pieces I wish I still had.

I hope all is well, my friend I finally stepped my game up I installed a system my buddy was using before he got the biggest speakers I've ever seen in my life his system is on some vengeance ish 😂 I hooked them up and I could feel the bass throughout my body and at one point well I was driving through town my rear view mirror flew off on to my lap scared the ever loving shit out of me 😂 my kind of bass I just need to tighten everything down ✌️

I can't leave it on with the bass up, or it might crack the windshield. Gotta love this car audio game man....it is addicting in the best way, and it gives us years of pleasure. Always fun...LOL!

LOL hilarious! The first system I ever heard that was louder than a factory system were gangsters rolling around the block with house speakers in the trunk. Pure trash, but it was better than the factory system...😂😂

Don't feel bad bro....we all have been there....if I can remember, my first system was trashhhh toooo..... Let me see, I didn't upgrade my radio. I had nakamichi speakers that were Lexus factory speakers running off stock radio. And I also had a bazooka bass tube with a non brand amp😂 I couldn't remember what it was lol... But until I started working at LAX and some of my co worker's had beattttt..... my boy had a 96 Impala with 4 12 round Kicker Solo barics running off a Precision power amp and some clean mids and highs.... I was like I gotta step it up.... They could hear him before they saw him 🔉🔉🔉 after that I started learning and getting better over the years.... even till this day I'm still learning and thankfully I have guys like you and my boy that are very knowledgeable and helpful...
Man, at least you started with Nakamichi... their factory speakers had to be lightyears better than mine... lol. But yeah, once we get a taste of a REAL system, we have no choice but to step our game up. I'm not tryna get served by nobody ever again... lol
Man, my boy had a Sherwood amp that looked like Wood Grain...LOL!! I didn't even realize my first system was Sherwood, until I looked it up to make this video. The Poor Man's Kenwood, I guess 😆
@Ahm-Creative Yeah, those are the ones I had...like a bride goldish color. They came out with a newer model that was black, but I never tried that one.
My first system , I had a pioneer CD detachable face , radio shack three-way 6x9's , radio shack 3.5 in the dash , radio shack dome tweeters , a radio shack 4-channel amp and a MTX Road Thunder 2-12 box.
My first system; eclipse head unit that my dad gave me. He got used from who knows where lol. Subs were two 12in JL audio w3 that I bought used from my best bud, in sealed box. Mids on the door were pyles I think lol. The tweeters stopped working after I while and I got some db drive tweeters. Amps was a 500 watt ppi amp and an Orion amp I bought you ubid lol.
Brooo, you were WINNING!! I didn't get to your level until a year or so later! I eventually got everything you had except for the Pyle mids and highs...I thought they only made subs...LOL! Aside from the Pyle's, that system would be legit even today.
My first system was pawn shop equipment: pyle 10 inch subs, 300 watt pyramid amp ,pyramid crossover. Bought a Craig tape deck from Circuit City it was the pull out style. Thought it banging tho 😂

Bruh, you started LIGHT YEARS ahead of me! I had a walkman back in the day, but that was before car audio...the two were not the same, so I had no clue what I was doing...especially when dude's in the hood were using house speakers. I literally thought you just put them in cars...had no clue what an amplifier was....LOL!
@@Ahm-Creative LOL. In the late 80s, bass was free. All you had to do was steal dad’s house speakers. My best friend to this day had a silver Chevette with house speakers in it. We called it the Raiders Helmet 😂😂 But yeah my brother went to the army and left me with a lotta cool stuff, lucky. Also a musician, guitars drum machines and stereo equipment. Probably a missed opportunity there

@@milesbachelor8747 I've seen that guy! Genius idea, but honestly, nothing against Uber Driving, but I just don't like having a bunch of people in my car...especially strangers. But I was planning on recording some of the demos I give to people, but the difficulty would be mic placement, as it's best to use my H2N recorder from the driver's seat, and it would be odd to have someone hold the mic while I record them...LOL. But I'll figure something out. I might just do a reaction video with my phone mic 🤮
My first system was a pair of Optimus 8's in the prefab ported box they came in sold at Radio Shack back in the mid 90's and the amp was a 2nd hand kenwood kac746 4ch and i had the front doors ran off head unit power and then i ran the rear 6x9's off the front 2 channels then bridged the 2 rear channels for those Optimus 8's and mannn i thought i was the shizzz 😂 then i sold the subs n got a pair of super cheap URBAN 12's with a 500w amp n used the Kenwood 4ch properly to run the 4 doors which was alot louder till i blew the subs and finally got a pair of MTX road thunder 15's which people used to tell me i was the loudest system in my small town (which i highly doubt was true) but it deff was loud! Sold those after a couple years n got a pair of thee original Kicker Solobaric 15's 750rms each single 2ohm coil at the end of 90's early 2000 which oddly i still have them and they work perfectly 😂 but in my yukon denali i have two Wolfram PT-18'S with PE coils rated 4krms each and i have a Wolfram AW-9000.1D on each at 1ohm with a AW-125.4 for my 2 Deaf bonce Sylvester 6.5's and 1 neo tweeter per front door and a single Deaf bonce machete neo 6.5 and neo tweet in back doors- two Limitless lithium cyber 12k's & two XS power SB1000-31 supercaps topped off from 2 runs of sky high oversized 2/0 OFC Mechman 320a alt stand alone and a JS 270 upgraded stock alt... Huge difference between then and now, if you'd a told me that I'd have 20k watts of power back in the 90's when 500w was blowing out eardrums i woulda laughed in your face yet here we are! 😂 💪🏻💪🏻🔊🔊

At least you started in Radio Shack...I got my gear from PepBoys and a swapmeet! As for as I knew, Kenwood was only for home audio systems, but I got taught a serious lesson from the dude at Golf n Stuff...LOL!! You definitely came a long way...we both have, but oh man, it still makes me laugh with embarrassment when I talk about my first system...LOL!!
