I can’t wait to hurt people’s feelings when they hear I bought another 4 cylinder car, one that’s even slower than the rest of my others, BY A LONGSHOT! Real talk though, I never thought I needed a slow car, until buying one and driving it! It’s a different kind of fun, especially when fill ups are the gas station run you half as much as your other cars.
With the price of gas keep going up, the decision to not buy a truck was made very easy. I am very happy with this buy, so much so that I have some things already on the way for this little thing! Can’t wait to mod it 😁

Great choice on the Honda fit! I've owned my ge8, new, since 2011. It's never given me any problems. Aside from basic maintenance, it needs very little to keep it running smoothly. One thing I will recommend is double checking the spark plugs. The gd3 and ge8 spark plugs have been known to back themselves out slowly. Honda ultimately updated the torque specs from 13 ft/lbs to 20 ft/lbs. One of the easiest ways to tell if your car is plagued with this problem is poor gas mileage, rough idling or poor performance. Hopefully this helps!

I have an 09' Fit and I love it! Unfortunately mine is an automatic but I do plan on doing an engine/man trans swap down the rd. So far I've got an HPS intake, Weapon R race header/downpipe, resonator delete, Spoon Sports N1 axle back exhaust, and BR Racing coilovers. It's still slow but alot of fun to drive. The complement's I get from random people on the rd is alway's nice too

I agree 1000000000000000000000%!!! My wife and I loved her 2010 Fit sport. Apply named the “Blueberry” because she had it in Honda’s purple that sometimes looked black or Navy Blue, depending on the lighting. Possibly your best automobile purchase ever. 👏🏽👍🏽👊🏽🚙

you should swap thje original engine from the Si into the FIT after you finish the SI, and it is real v-tec on the 1.5 in the fit but just on the intake only

I genuinely thought of that as it would make the most amount of sense! That's what I meant with the VTEC, in the same way I'm doing the head-swap with the civic because it doesn't have true VTEC (intake and exhaust).

Hey Milan! Been watching not since day 1 but pretty close and was there for most of the Accord Coupe series. You actually inspired me to get my own Accord coupe and I luckily got a low mile, '17 V6 a few months back after wanting one for years. Good to see you back and congrats on the new Fit! This is great. I just got a GE8 a few weeks ago off my mom since my daily is in the body shop. I’ve fallen in love with it and a already have a plan to k swap it when I’m done with my accord. Right on brother! The engine that is coming out of my Civic will most likely be the best candidate for these little fits since it has a single downpipe for the exhaust system.

2009 Fit sport with 300,000km on it. Swapped rear shocks and springs in 15 minutes for under $100 from the scrap yard. ‘Fits’ the budget.

Thanks for new vid! Love this car! I have a 09 Fit Sport 5 speed. I came from driving a WRX, so this is much slower. As a daily it's much better because I like the honda gearbox much better. I did change to a Buddy Club short shifter and a Blox 490 knob which made a big difference in feel. Make sure the drive shaft recall was taken care of and look out for wheel well rust. A hidden gem is that the rear seats also recline in this econobox.

Thanks man! The driveshaft recall has been address, and there doesn't seem to be any rust on the body yet which is awesome! Hopefully I can keep it that way. I've been looking at the Hybrid racing short shifter, but I need to do a bit more digging around. As for the rear seats, it's sick how you can lay them flat, or lift them up, but I can't say I've figured out how they recline.

@@milanmastracci To recline the back seat, when the seat is upright you simply lift the same lever you use to fold the seats flat in the opposite direction and push back. The lever actually flips in both directions if that makes sense. I didn’t figure out until having the car 8 years 🤣. The few inches help the back passengers on long rides or add trunk space when needed. It’s like the most over engineered economy car I’ve seen. Got hidden compartments under seat. Upper glove box and bazillion cup holders everywhere

Epitome of "momentum car." Glad you're enjoying your GE8 Fit. I've had my older GD1 Jazz (what it's called outside the US) for 15 years and I've tracked it for quite a number of those.

@@milanmastracci even just the front brakes and brake lines would be a great upgrade when combined with driver mod. The Fit/Jazz's singular greatest weapon is braking; because it's so light, and doesn't make much power, it's the main way you'd shave time off a lap. Stock front brakes unfortunately heat-soak pretty badly, but can last an entire afternoon of lapping. These things will just keep on going on track because they're so light on consumables, too. Anyway congrats on the new ride and I hope to see more of your videos soon.

Good choice for a daily. Honda Fit/Jazz is a very reliable car. Even its CVT version is reliable, even though CVTs have bad reputation. I am saying this because I own Honda City CVT (a sedan version of Honda Fit).

A hatchback or station wagon as a daily driver makes perfect sense. Can't go wrong with the Honda fit. I brought 09 Lancer Sportback with the 2.4 and manual transmission. Best daily driver ever. Plus its a rare car to find.

Track the Fit at Cayuga or DDT first, it's not fast on straights but it's very nimble in corners, and you don't have to worry about it blowing up and leaving you stranded. And then k swap it 🙂

@@milanmastracci Sadly to tell, in our country each annual car inspection will also inspect the tranny make sure it’s the same as it came from factory. And after the vehicle is 10 years old it will need to be inspected twice a year.
