“While it’s weird that it evolved into a ladybug of all things..” B.. Blipbug and Dottler are literally ladybug larvae and pupae respectively. Look up “Ladybug life cycle”. They start as caterpillars and have a chrysalis-like phase. They’re also all based on themes revolving around “radar”. Blipbug has “blip” in its name, like a radar blip, and it’s eyes resemble a radar screen. The hairs on it (which actual Ladybug larvae have) look like the compass directions around a radar screen. Dottler is a mix of “Dots” (for obvious reasons) and “Doppler Radar”. The polygonal shape of its outer shell is meant to resemble a Doppler Radar station’s dome. Again, look them up. It looks just like it! And finally Orbeetle is a mix of “Beetle” and “Orbital”. It not only resembles a satellite but also an alien, with its skinny body and what would be the “body” of a ladybug being turned into a GIANT head (presumably for a giant brain). It’s Gygantimax form even turns it into a UFO if the inspiration wasn’t obvious enough.

Yamask looks like it should be a Ghost-Rock instead of Ghost-Ground

The sword in zacian’s mouth is a held item, if he isn’t holding the rusted sword he does have it during the fight.

Zacian’s sword is not eternally in its mouth. You must have shield and not sword. Because in sword it’s clear that is not the case.

The Pokémon I like in the new generation include: Copperajah: I have a soft spot for elephants and it really warmed my heart to see a proper elephant based Pokémon (Sorry Donphan, I still like you though), it's Pokémon entry saying that it hails from a different region and it helps that it's a powerhouse. Dreepy line: Besides having an awesome typing, the fact that it's based on one of my favourite extinct critters (Diplocaulus, look it up) makes me having it on the team. Grimmsnarl: I think this Pokémon looks awesome and intimidating with some really good moves and it makes good use of it's typing.

Dragapult, Toxtricity and Galarian Ponyta/Rapidash are some of my favourite Pokemon now tbh. They are amazing and have so much personality in their movements and designs, and their typings are sooo great!

Bolthund looks like my dog so I caught one and named her Cookie. My other dog is shorter and more plump, so Goose became a Growlithe (which I evolved into Arcanine for the 'dex). And Drednaw became our turtle, Tootsie. I was so happy I was able to complete the set and I got mad when Cinderace kicked Cookie in the face in camp.

Everyone hating on Dracovish and Arctovish, Draco has a great typing and color scheme and I love it honestly, Arctovish is also a decent typing with the upside down head giving it a difference to other pokemon The fossils aren’t mistakes, they are happy accidents

As far as gen pokemon goes. This gen is my second fav right behind gen 5 when it comes to pokemon

1. Cinderace 2. Intelleon 3. Rillaboom I like cinderace cause it's a solid Pokemon and is has alright proportions and stuff Intelleon is a close second but is just a little too thin Rillaboom has an object which is odd to me. I also find him to be a little too bulky...

What I love about this gen is that we got so many new experimental types like Electric/Poison and Ice/Bug, or combinations that were previously limited to legendaries (Dragon/ghost, Dragon/Steel) or one off alternate forms (Grass/Dragon). Still waiting for a non-Legendary Water/Fire and Fire/Steel ... And you forgot this Darma version's Zen Mode is Ice/Fire

I totally agree with the Inteleon. When I first saw it, I literally went, “Oh, gosh! No...ew.” Lol! I LOVE Raboot. I love how it sticks its hands in the “hoodie” pockets in front like it’s just chillin’. It’s my favorite second form of any starter ever. It definitely beats out Combusken since it’s part of my favorite starter ever is still Torchic/Blazekin. I love how Yamper looks like a Corgi haha Which starter would you suggest is “the best” for a play through of the Gen 8? My first play through, I started with the fire starter, but I’m for some reason, already regretting it. I don’t want to use the Water starter because Inteleon is creepy...so I was debating starting over and trying the grass starter. I normally always go Fire starter. The only grass starter I’ve ever used is Rowlett. I try to play my “vanilla” run with only Gen 8 Pokémon, no Pokémon that are in past gens (minus new regional variants, those are still “new”). I find that I need duel type Pokémon for most of the play through, which is why I’m bummed that the starters don’t have a secondary type. OH! And I’m still bummed and pseudo waiting for an Eeveelution for Gen 8. SOOO bummed that we didn’t get one...

inteleon could’ve been so good, if it wasn’t as humanoid and didn’t have such a weird idle stance but kept the cool finger guns it would be my favorite water starter, but right now it just deeply disturbs me and I regret picking sobble :(

In summary: this pokemon grew on me and is a great pokemon.

I agree with you that incorporating humanlike elements or human objects into basic pokemon designs (I can accept legendaries being that there should only be one lore wise) I've never appreciated non natural items incorporated into pokemon design. Especially considering these are creatures that are supposed to be found in nature. Why would every respective member of a creature like that sport a champion belt or full martial arts outfit.

Meowth reminds me of the Cheshire cat. I think it's probably inspired by that, since Alices adventures in wonderland are British books.
