My Sister Watches JIGSAW (2017) For the First Time! 

I honestly just don't like the movie because they copied that 1 trap from saw 5 . I should probably give it another watch though I don't remember anything else other than someone getting their leg cut off I think

Agree, I like this movie. Not the best, not the worst, but not nearly as bad as it's made out.

@@HorrorMonster4406 There is some difference. He gave a chance to Ryan, but he accidentally overdosed Logan, basically condemning him to death without any chance to survive. John understood that in time, so he stopped Logan's game and since it was a mistake - instead of repeating healed him.

How exactly does Jigsaw make sense when looked at alongside the entirety of the Saw franchise? I like the movie, but it has a good few plot holes that contradict the other movies.

@@renashcroft8794 plot holes are also plot holes when you introduce things that make no sense to the rest of the story. This movie details the "first" game, but we're shown what was supposedly the first in a previous Saw movie with Amanda's boyfriend. Logan is supposedly the first apprentice, but he isn't even mentioned by John in any other move. Why wasn't he John's successor? Why didn't he help orchestrate Hoffman's downfall in Saw 3D if he was John's first apprentice? Gordon and Jill helped, but Logan wasn't even an afterthought. If this makes so much sense in the Saw storyline then ,please, explain it to me.

@@UndeadAngel1987 Its the same with Gordon, though Gordon was required in making some puzzles possible, as John explained in the tape at the end of SAW 3D, Jill was more or less like a messenger, but she just wanted to punish Hoffman for breaking her husband's code, while orchestrating as him and trying to tarnish his code, Logan, much like Gordon, wasn't an apprentice, but unlike Gordon, he didn't really find a need to help Jigsaw after helping him build the first reverse bear trap, after which he carried on with his life with much respect for the man who put his life back together as he explained to Halloran towards the end of Jigsaw, his involvement only came into play when Edgar (Halloran's informant) murdered his wife, which caused him to devise an elaborate scheme, which would prove Halloran to be a dirty cop (something Logan was well aware of) and murder Edgar in the process, and thus, he utilized the skills he had learned from Jigsaw to set up his game, this would also be a personal test of sorts for Logan to see if he truly could uphold Jigsaw's rules without any major interference in the events of the game

He was working on Logan because otherwise he would have bled out and died. He literally collected him after the doors to the bucket room closed where the hanging trap with the syringes happens directly after. He’s still tending to Logan Nelson’s wounds so no, he wouldn’t be occupied watching the cameras to let go of their restraints. Also, you’re telling me a neck shackle in 2004 if not earlier has the capability to be release via remote, guess technology was so advanced back then than we thought as not only do we have plasma screen TV’s that appear in traps, but we also have remote operated neck shackles 😒 Oh and the wooden boards? Yeah that’s random placement because he “just so happened to know” someone would be stupid enough to try and go through the door. Also, stop reaching with hypotheticals such as the syringe one where your answer is an assumption rather than putting together information we know from the movie itself with its sloppily thrown together flash back sequences with Logan because we need to have a bullshit twist. A lot of the real answers to these questions are “Because movie”. No reason, no explanation and shit just doesn’t make sense when you put together all the Information we know that the movie provides us with. They never explain stuff that doesn’t make sense especially when this trap game takes place BEFORE SAW 1! Also, you listed two questions yet there are apparently so many questions that I ask which supposedly have obvious (or in other words bullshit) Answers.

Or maybe you just like it, simple as that. You are certainly not bad at judging movies just because you have a different opinion.

Everyone's opinions are different. Deviating from popular opinion doesn't mean you're "wrong" in any sense. I loved Spiral and liked Jigsaw. Others hated those movies. There's nothing wrong with me for liking them.

@@UndeadAngel1987 Sometimes it feels like I've taken something I'm supposed to like and enjoy and turned it into a weapon against myself.

Getting cut in enough places that you bleed out. Getting pulled into the saws chest or back first would probably have a much higher chance of being fatal than getting an arm cut.
