Here it is! The long awaited SUPER BIG CHOP!!! (at least to me anyway:) Enjoy! super big chop, big chop, crown jewel big chop, big chop, big chop, super big chop, crown jewel, super big chop,
You were smart to let a trusted friend do it. I did mine myself. I would never go to a salon. I have watched a copy of big chops that went to a salon and it seems that at the salon they randomly grab and cut. Most don't even put water and conditioner on it to see where the relaxed hair ends. If you would have went to a salon, it would have came out much shorter. But, it looks so nice on you, know it was a year ago, just saying .... WOrk it. GOd bless.
Thank you. I completely agree! That is precisely why I chose to do it the way I did. Once its off, you can't put it back! There's nothing like having someone you trust to do the job... and having someone who will listen and won't mind you being a little high maintenance! lol;) Thanks so much for watching! I wish you much success on your hair journey! You were so brave to do it yourself:) I'm happy for you! God bless you as well!:)
Congrats to you and your new journey. I'm 8 months natural with 4 inches in length. I'm still learning my hair. I completely cut off all my hair and started with 1/2 inch. Congrats again!
I did my BC about two days ago. It is going to take some getting use to. My hair texture changed the older i became. I did the BC because I was thoroughly sick of perms that last a week....then revert back to its' curly state. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thank you so much for the encouragement. I'm still learning my hair. I love it. At this point, the battle is trying to find styles that won't take so long and that will last at least a couple days...
Thank you so very much! It was an amazing moment in my life when I did my big chop, and I'm still loving my hair 5 months later and enjoying my journey!!:) I hope your experience is even more awesome, and I wish you much success on your hair journey!!❤️❤️😉
You are so very welcome! I believe you'll love it! It's been six months now, and I can honestly say it's the best choice I've ever made my for my hair! I love it!
Congrats on your BC! You look gorgeous & I love your hair! I did my BC last night and I am currently in a state of shock but hopefully I'll be able to fall in love with my natural hair soon.
Congrats! I Luv your hair and the first hairstyle. Even though I texurize my hair, I still rock my curly fro. There is so much to learn about your natural hair. Enjoy the journey!
Awww it looks so good!!!! Now your hair will grow super fast... you will think wow where did I get all this hair... im serious. I have been through this process too many times but this time im never going back to relaxing. Your super big chop looks super cute!
I been 6months post relaxer and did my first bc in march.and cut all my damage and split ends off but now im ready to do a transitioning chop but nervous about it this helped a lot thanks for the motivation
You're very welcome! I'm so glad it helped☺️ I hope it goes well with your transition! I know you can do it! Don't be nervous! Thank you so much for watching! Take care!😘
WOW I really feel like I'm taking this journey with you: My last relaxer was February, I transitioned for 8 months and chopped on Nov. 8 2013!! Our texture looks almost the same as well. Definitely keep the videos coming!!!
Hi, my last relaxer was early February... I transitioned for a little over 8 months. Sorry for the late reply. With all the youtube changes, I missed your comment. Please keep watching, and I wish you much success on your hair journey!:)
+Kk Wats Thank you so much! It's a journey, but I absolutely do not regret it---AND would do it again! Hang in there.... Your patience and hard work WILL pay off! My best to you on your hair journey! Take care😊😘❤️
not really it will grow back in 6 months. it's not close to her scalp. I rather have healthy hair than long breaking off in some places damaged hair. not a good feel believe me. some people had it so bad they have to resort to braids.too painful.
Hi! Sorry for my late reply. I'd say my hair pattern is mostly coily. If I had to choose a hair type it would be difficult. The back (nape area) is more 3c, my crown 4b, and front and sides 4A. It's kind of weird:) Thanks for watching, I hope that helps!
Lately I've thought about going natural, but I don't think the puffy look is for me. I also think about the difficulties. I do get relaxers & the thing with that is the thickness of my hair isn't what I want it to be. But what made you decide to go natural?
Hi Jaleah, I had been wearing my hair relaxed over half my life. I had long, and what I used to think was healthy hair. I noticed over time that my hair was becoming thinner, I started experiencing breakage, shedding, and dryness. I knew that this was due to the relaxer. I decided to get rid of it altogether and to focus on the health of my hair. Since I have done that, my hair has responded really well. In my opinion, it was the best thing I could have done for my hair. Thanks for your question Jaleah!;)
I want to chop mines off but my hair is beyond thick I can't even part it with my finger some ppl have a better texture of hair I don't think that thick woolly look will work for me.
Awwww congrats on your BC your friend did an amazing job she need to train some of these so call stylist because many of them have no clue! Great vid thanks for sharing just like n Subb pls Subb so we can continue following each other HHJ
