I love your view on all this. Many people jumped in RV life during the "Problem Year". They had no clue what they were doing and so many have walked away, broke and back to their mundane life. This life is not easy, sometimes not enjoyable, and costly if you don't know how to work around lot fees, finding free spots and not doing their cooking etc at their site. I like that you tell people, its not always roses and sunshine. It means you're truthful. Thank you
I wish everyone had your level of viewing comprehension. Most just think we are complaining. You get it. We try to pass alone what we learn as well as the places we have been. Have a great weekend.
So far mudflap has not been as good of savings as open roads. It does fill in the gaps between open roads stations, so we will keep it. Wish we were crossing paths in SC.
YES, RV life ruined vacations for me too. My oldest daughter and I now hate going to hotels. Used to love going to hotels. My wife and youngest daughter still enjoy hotels.
What up what up, great video guys. We always say that this can make or break a relationship… so if there is cracks 😅 you better take care of them before 🤣🤣 For the toilet…. We use Borax as a treatment 💯 natural and haven’t had any smell issues. We also use a Kitty Genie for our TP (hood tip I got before moving into the RV) if your not familiar it’s a small trash can designed to dump kitty litter in. It has a trap door that you can push the TP thru into a bag. No smell or mess. We don’t ever put TP in the toilet itself. It’s worked great for us. If you guys come to the Oregon Coast this summer… let us know 🌺🤙🏽
I like it. a diaper genie for the RV. Thanks for watching guys. The PNW is on our list for later this year into 2025, still making plans for after may.
1 Caveat on the TP, it is MUCH better to use TP that says "Septic Safe". This doesn't mean it can't be the same TP you might use in your house, but it is MADE to break down more readily. Don't waste your money on the RV Butt Napkins or whatever brand name is trying to tell you you HAVE to have RV TP, just look for septic safe TP.
@@OurRoadLessTraveled no unfortunate next will be New York for us .. enjoy chatting with you all . This will be our 3rd huddle. We donate to tod and Sheila every month.. we believe in the dream . Not full time yet been 2 to 3 months a year since the 80s. Just getting our ducks in a row .. there’s a penny at your foot run with it .. :)
Should have gone with something smaller than a 5th wheel. We have a terrific Airstream and the cost are far less than the house. It also made us live smaller!
Most of the time it is NOT cheaper! However you have a lot more freedom! If you don’t like where ya are just move! A lot easier. We just had fun w/ my kids this weekend & back to our base camp.
If we were part time, that is the route we would go. Being full time, I like the Diesel for two reasons. its my opinion the engine life is longer on a diesel and has better resale. second, we are subject to 14 hour travel days. being able to use the fuel islands in truck stops is a very nice convenience. Plus we save on the fuel with open roads so the cost is close to what gas would be.
I don’t think you guys should feel like you need to tell people you’re not homeless. Clearly you are not. Just disregard those comments and live your life. Peace.
Angel Soft....along with laundry detergent and calgon water softener Full-time RVING since 2019. I'm asked how long I plan on doing this.....until I can't.
us too. we love it. also look at the new Techno RV fuel card. it will let you use a credit or debit card to pay for fuel so you get to double dip on cash back offers. its about the same discount as open roads. technorv.com/products/technorv-fuel-card
That it would solve all your problems, we have owned a 4 bedroom home, 2 bath, finished basement home on 3 acres of land for 30 years, just sold it getting ready to be Full Time, we just bought our New RV, been RVing for many years, I do believe it will be less upkeep than all I have done homesteading for the last 30years However I don't believe it will solve all my problems I know there is repairs and unfortunate occurances, nothing will ever solve ALL your problems. Oh by the way we bought a NEW East to West Ahara 2024, I really like the New graphics. Have you had any issues with your Ahara? Thanks, I do watch your channel!!👍😊
@@joelfreed6849Nice, what model Ahara? We love our 365RL. back to the problem solving. We see a lot of comments by people thinking that it will solve their money problems and be cheaper, or it will help raise their kids. It just wont. You have to form those habbits and work on them, and RV doesn't make them just happen. that is what we were getting at.
@@OurRoadLessTraveled we got a 378BH-OK, so that when we come home, we will be able to have sleep overs with our grandchildren, and while traveling we can use it as a storage area, plus I like it has a 2nd bathroom and outdoor kitchen
@@joelfreed6849Love that model. We almost went with the Takoda, but it was just a bit too large and we dont have grand kids, yet. It may be in our future in a couple years.
thanks, it was a last minute thing. next couple weeks are so busy for us we may not put anything out. but we will have an update on why we may take some time off.
Sadly as per your statement about collecting money from the government, unemployment compensation is not from the government, you and your former employer paid those monies in advance!
there are a lot of people that think moving into a more simple life with less things to worry about will solve their problems. mostly we see it in FB and Reddit posts.
We have been full full-time for 3 years now. We are retired and have traveled more to visit family and friends. We have spent more quality time with all of them now than when they lived close. Would not trade it for anything!
we are not retired, but the RV 100% lets us extend our radius to visit parents, the kids, and friends. We will not be changing course anytime soon, we love this lifestyle.
You had me at sunshine and rainbows ❤😂 We traveled around for the first 6 months and realized that we, in fact, do not like traveling with our entire home 😅 🤷♀️
@@OurRoadLessTraveled We are settling where we are now since we’re close to our kids and grandkids. We plan to either buying another house or property to set our fifth wheel on and get a smaller class C to travel around with. But we also have a vision of opening a RV park for Veterans (but not exclusively) so they can come to us for the help they need. We’ll see where God takes our next chapter 😁
