Serrapeptase:
Naka vegetarian Serrapeptase is made from an enzyme that removes blockages in your body that impede your natural healing ability. Serrapeptase can be thought of as a natural pipe cleaner for your body to dissolve arterial plaque, blood clots, cysts, and scar tissue while eliminating pain and inflammation. If you are using NSAID drugs for inflammation or pain, but worry about their harmful side effects, Naka Serrapeptase is a highly effective and proven natural alternative.

Hello Donna, Such a great story & outcome, thank you for sharing that with us. Serrapeptase is an enzyme that was initially discovered in silkworm larvae, but was later derived from a bacteria called Serratia marcescens. It may also be known as: serratiopeptidase, serralysin, serratiapeptase, and SPEP, or SER for short. SER is in the peptidase enzyme family, meaning that it breaks up protein. There are a large number of health benefits attributed to SER supplementation. Glad our videos helped you learn about your health and find relief. If you'd like to learn more about Serrapeptase or Osteoarthritis and natural health, check out our articles as well: www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/supplements/serrapeptase/ www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/health-concerns/osteo-arthritis/ Have a healthy day!

Will it help to reduce or totally vanished aged scar for more than 30 yrs? Thank you Dr.
@NTLnutrition
@NTLnutrition 4 года назад
Hello Hi-Jay Mg, So Serrapeptase is known for helping heal scars by dissolving a protein called Fibrin that makes up most of the scar. So Serrapeptase has a chance of helping heal your scar, but the issue would be how long it's been since the scar formed. Once a scar has been sitting for so long, 30+ years in your case, things become a lot harder since things have been healing for so long. So I can't say for certain whether it will heal a scar of that age, it may help reduce how noticeable it is, reduce the size by a small amount, but it's hard to say. You can always try and report back with your results, we would be interested to hear if it helped you. Take care!

Always wanted to ask if Serrapeptase had any effect on Tinnitus, curious if anyone has found the enzyme effective for that since many people claim it has amazing benefits for the ears and circulation? would truly be a miracle if it did help those with Tinnitus!

Hello Charlie, Mcgeehan, as of right now we haven't seen much information that shows Serrapeptase having a large effect on Tinnitus. There has been some feedback from a few people who noticed some improvement, but nothing conclusive yet. If you'd like to look at some possible things that may help, please take a look at an article and video we made about Tinnitus. Hopefully, it can help you find some relief, or at least open up some paths you can try: www.nationalnutrition.ca/articles/health-concerns/tinnitus/ Wish you all the best, have a good day!

Are some serrapeptase tablets better than others? I've heard they need to be coated so they don't get destroyed by the stomach acid . Also what would you call a good daily dose, to take for every day maintenance. I took "serracor" a serrapeptase and nattokinase combo after i started to suffer with Peyronies disease several years ago & It completely cured the plaque built up and things straightened out for me 😄😄. and now I'd like to take it daily to prevent any further issues . But i see some cheaper versions on the internet are they worth using?

Hi Krainey, every company makes their supplements different, so some serrapeptase may be more beneficial for you than others but that's a case by case basis. You need to look at things like how they source their supplements, are they GMO-free, organic, etc... Look at what else they are incorporating into the supplement and if those additions are things that you need, look at reviews to see how other people are doing on them, look to make sure it's a trusted company and not a random sketchy company. Other than that most tend to be similar in effect, it's more just the dosages that each offer. Enteric coated capsules and tablets tend to do better/work better for most since it does pass by the stomach acid into the intestines where it's easier to absorb into the body. The stomach acid in your gut will break down some of the serrapeptase but it's not going to make it completely inert so you will still see an effect. The recommendation to open the capsule is more for those who may notice side effects like gas, bloating, or are not a fan of taking capsules in general. Serrapeptase doesn't really have a standard dosage because it's an enzyme and they are a little different. So it's best to just follow what the manufacturer recommends on their bottle. But the standard dosage most use is between 10-60mg or about 20,000 - 120,000SU per day, on an empty stomach. We don't really recommend buying the cheapest version of the supplement you see online from just any website. The reason for that is because there is a lot of companies who don't have good quality control and may be using unsafe materials. Or an even bigger worry is the materials they are putting in that "supplement" aren't actually what they say they are and are just using fillers. So it's best to keep to companies and sites that you know and trust, careful on sites like Amazon where sketchy third-party companies can post their products. If you'd like you can take a look at our online store and see what brands we carry, that'll give you an idea of some companies you can trust and then you can go from there. Hello Ms G, Thank you for tuning in. The recommended daily dose of serrapeptase is 20 - 30mg (2,000 - 3,000iu) Daily In Divided Doses. However, the manufacturer's labeling directions may be higher.

Looks like I’m late to the serrapeptase convo, but I’m curious about its potential to dissolve scar tissue on the eyeball. I have a pterygium or pinguecula, aka “surfer’s eye, a delightful bit of scar tissue on the cornea and lower lash line. Mine is related to my dry eye disease. Hoping for your MD perspective and expertise.

Hello Brenda, Thank you for your inquiry. Serrapeptase has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Clinical studies have shown that it is effective in reducing swelling and edema and metabolizing scar tissues in the body. Because serrapeptase breaks down dead tissues and excess fibrin, it eliminates the body’s defense mechanism known as inflammation. It is an effective enzyme against inflammation in all forms, such as inflammation of the joints, the digestive system and other organs. With inflammation abated, the body is able to clean out the dead tissues and fibrin growths, allowing for the healing process to begin. This may support what you're looking for. Just found this video searching for info on serrapeptase. I've been taking it for about 2 weeks and the spider veins in my legs have nearly disappeared! Today, however, I got extremely nauseated and had to fight not to throw up. I could barely move. Can you help with that? I've read elsewhere that it can cause nausea but also the brand I use, Drs Best, was sold to China so quality may be an issue. Can you advise?
@NTLnutrition
@NTLnutrition 4 года назад
Hey G G, It could be for a few reasons, but the quality is a big one. We don't carry or know much about Drs Best, so we can't speak about the quality of that company. But supplement quality does play a major role in how someone will react to taking a specific supplement. There has been a recent increase of untested, unsafe, and unverified supplements coming from unknown random companies on sites like eBay, Instagram, and facebook. They don't have reviews for their products, no one's heard of them and the only people who have is easily bought influencers. So when you buy these supplements you're getting something that hasn't been properly tested for heavy metals, contaminants, bacteria, mold, that hasn't been verified that what they say is in the bottle is actually in there and that if you do have an adverse reaction they most likely won't have an easily reachable representative to talk to. So taking supplements that you may not trust can cause adverse reactions like you're experiencing. I would also look at if you did anything different over the past few days, sometimes just changing when you take a supplement can cause issues. I know some people can't take a supplement on an empty stomach, others can't do a full stomach. I hope you can figure out what's going on, have a healthy day!

Can it help with herniated disc, back pain?
@NTLnutrition
@NTLnutrition 8 лет назад
+bk23 Serrapeptase is an enzyme that is derived from Silkworms. It is a dietary supplement commonly used for painful conditions including back pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, migraine and tension headaches. Feedback suggest that it is helpful for conditions that involve pain and inflammation. In part due to the enzyme's action in removing damaged tissue and reducing the inflammation. Because it is a natural product, it works differently for everyone, but in most cases, feedback and results have been positive.

Hi how long can you stay on a high dose of 1 million IU's a day? Thanks
@NTLnutrition
@NTLnutrition 4 года назад
Hello Christian Webster, 1 million IU's a day is a very very high dose of Serrapeptase and should only be taken if prescribed by a health care practitioner or by the manufacturer on the bottle. The daily recommended dosage of Serrapeptase is 2,000-3,000 IU daily or about 20-30mg, you're currently taking 10,000mg daily, 333 times more than the recommended amount. I can't recommend taking it at that large of a dose for any extended period of time, that's something only a health care practitioner can say. I hope things are going ok, let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello R. A. Majeed, I'm sorry but right now we don't have any research on that. We know that it works externally for the skin and helping heal there, but currently, there is nothing showing any signs of Serrapeptase helping heal scarred lung tissue. I'm hoping in the future more research can be done to find out if it can. Have a good day.

@NTLnutrition
@NTLnutrition 6 лет назад
Hello Evetter Mercer, Yes, you can take Serrapeptase with apple sauce or you can also open up the capsule. Some people will do this and add the powder to non-protein smoothies. It's important to note that you should take Serrapeptase on more of an empty stomach and don't take it with protein as the Serrapeptase would be used up on the protein rather than be absorbed by the body. Here is a link to a video with some smoothie recipes, just remember to not add protein if you are having Serrpeptase! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a4EjQq9YZnY.html Thank you for your comment and please post if you have any other questions!

Can serrapeptase cause your hair to fall out?
@NTLnutrition
@NTLnutrition 5 лет назад
Hello Terri Lee, To our knowledge no, Serrapeptase should not cause hair loss in someone. Serrapeptase is an enzyme whose main job is to break down protein in the body and removing fluid and debris located near injuries. Usually, hair loss comes from a change in hormones or the loss of important vitamins/minerals. If by chance you have been taking Serrapeptase and notice some hair loss, we recommend seeing a doctor to discuss this with them. You'll want to make sure that the hair loss isn't being caused by something else like a hormone level change, in deficient in Iron or Vitamin B12. If you have any other questions please shoot us a message, otherwise have a great day!

you say you can open capsule of serrapeptase ?? I thought serrapeptase has to be in capsule that's why all serrapeptase supplement are enteric coated. if you open serrapeptase capsule and put in orange juice or something it still works?? of course on empty stomach . is nattokinase safe to dissolve blood clots? many forums say nattokinase is not safe can cause bleeding , anurysm in brain, bleeding anurysm any where in body because nattokinase doesn't have ability to stop working itjust keeps going. I want to take nattokinase and serrapeptase to dissolve blood clots but there are many forums people say both are dangerous are they both 100% safe? how do we know there both 100% safe? many say even if you take no meds these two supplements are dangerous

Hello, Thank you for your questions. Most Serrapeptase should not be opened, in this video Dr. Zoltan was referring to this specific brand of Serrapeptase. Nattokinase supports blood clotting; however it is recommended to speak to a naturopath before starting to take Natto for appropriate dosage protocol. The important information to note with Nattokinase is: If You Are Already Taking Anti-Coagulant Medication Such As Warfarin, Consult Your Healthcare Practitioner Before Starting Nattokinase. · If You Have A Bleeding Disorder, It Is Recommended You Avoid Nattokinase. · Stop Nattokinase At Least 2 Weeks Before Scheduled Surgery To Prevent Excess Bleeding And Promote Proper Healing.
