A Narcissist's need for validation and importance is relentless! They pursue it with the same intensity as if it is air they need to breathe! You and I have the same importance to them as we have when needing a tissue to blow our noses...use and discard without a second thought! Look at yourself from the narcissists point of view...they do not see us as a living breathing person they see us as a resource only!

Narcissist makes people develop social anxiety... I spent years been judged, insulted, mocked, ridiculed, beaten and it was always "MY Fault !" They made me believe there is something fondamentally wrong with me and that I deserved all the horrible things life throws at me, when someone treated me badly and disrespected me, it was always my fault... Who would want to socialise again after experiencing this sort of thing ?

This may look comical to those who haven't fully dealt with a narcissist, but you couldn't be more spot on in what you displayed with the masks. At 11:09, you mention torture and trauma. I'm so glad you brought this up because, yes, indeed, it is a real thing that they don't let you sleep. My wife and I had an argument where I would suggest that we talk about it the next day because I only had 4 hours of sleep before waking up to go to work at 4 a.m. She demanded that we talk about it that moment as she was calling me every curse word on the book. I told her goodnight and ignored her threats. I was so tired it didn't take much for me to doze off only to wake up to the splash of water on my face as she told me, "I said you're not resting until we resolve this." This was just one of a few other times she did this, then I left her to get away from her physical confrontations and verbal abuse. It's 7 months since we haven't had any contact, and I know that my actions of removing myself from under the roof we both lived in was for both our sakes. For me, it was my sanity. All I ever wanted was peace and did everything I could to keep things peaceful. It's the narcissist who can't find peace. They may pretend to be peaceful to get what they want out of you, but it isn't in them to think things through and rationalize within themselves and say, "Am I really being that bad?" For these people, that kind of self reflection just doesn't exist. Thank you for sharing and making these videos.

So true... can sleep instantly, anytime, anywhere! However, can stay awake for eternity if it suits them!

Actually between last 2 husbands and parents, it has been abuse my whole life. But I am still here.

Mornings were never complete for my malignant narcissist father unless one of the kids was miserable. He'd poke and poke or take away stuff, or control what we ate, or make fun of us, etc etc etc...6 months NO CONTACT and ive never been calmer, slept better, been more creative, or understood myself more. My soul is being nourished and I'm incredibly hopeful:)

This is too spot on 😳 My mum just has no understanding of boundaries or peace. As soon as she wakes up, she’ll start fights with either me or dad, yelling/controlling/nagging. When she finally leaves the house to go to shops or casino, there’s finally peace and quiet. Then in the night after coming home from the cas, she will be so noisy with no consideration of anyone else trying to sleep. You’d think most people would know not to be noisy beyond 10 or midnight but no. No point trying to explain anything to them either as they don’t listen or keep interrupting you.

It always blows my mind how EXACTLY your assessment fits our narcissist. Its just crazy.

Like individually each thing sounds so trite....they banged things around, walked in a measured threatening manner, threw open the bedroom door by hitting it with a vacuum cleaner coming in at 6 am on a Saturday....I was always sleep deprived! You do such a great job of explaining all of the MILLIONS of things they do that add up to a miserable existence. I appreciate your videos SO much and they have aided in my healing in a very big way....this is even after 10 years gone....thank you again!!! 💜

In my opinion, Narc's wake up and focus on getting supply. That means finding new supply, romancing side supply, and abusing main supply. Sleep deprivation is soooo real 😢

My ex used to make mornings a torment for everyone. After we separated my daughter from a previous relationship finally told me he was yelling at her in the car all the way to school infront of his other children most mornings until she would cry. Alienated and slammed as soon as she was out of my sight. She would then struggle to settle into school and would often end up crying in the bathroom and missing first period and started getting into trouble for her attendance. In the mornings i would make breakfast and atleast 5 packed lunches and prepare all the children for their day as he sat there drinking his coffee not helping with an attitude because he would treat me as if I was about to go on holiday as the at home parent to 6 children(4 at school and 2 babies at home) compared to him going to work in an office. Even while breastfeeding and exhausted his expectations of me didn't change. We are now 3 years free from that abuse, eggshells and constant torment and now our mornings are now tension free.

Hahaha...Danish, your act is awesome!! This is all true. A narcissist, who has been discarded by me since 2021 and never forgot me, suddenly sent me this message in my online shop page. I copy: "Ι really love your store. Ιt looks amazing, the attention to detail is remarkable and your art unique. But I see that you have not achieved the dream you want your store to be". He woke up in the morning and started his scheduled abuse, ready to drink blood. Who knows where else. He has a list.

Seriously a narcissist never think about a victim pain and sleep easily to say I want to sleep now 🙁

You got it! And I love the way you demonstrate it with the masks. I’m a visual person and it helps me a lot. My ex narcissist loved to wake up whichever son he was picking on and drag them out of bed in the middle of the night to berate and possibly beat them. No wonder I can’t sleep.

Oh my god, I knew my partner was a narcissist but you brought up traits of him I've never heard anyone else talk about. To a T. Very Little sleep, a night owl, falls asleep crazy quick, can't sit still for too long before getting sleepy, and doesn't allow me to sleep. Likes to pick fights with me at night and then gets to spend time alone drinking watching videos that entertain him after the fight. Wow. This video was so insightful.

The overt and acting out narcissists are rather easy to see. There are so skilled narcissists even grandiose ones, that can hide their negative sides better.

Now I understand why I was so much energy drained always since years and how he felt so energetic... ... now I understand how he made me good for nothing after marriage in those years..how a throughout academically topper and a medico doctor...became good for nothing .....and he always blamed me and others for every single thing happening wrong...how he instilled permanent fear in every ones heart including me... Now I understand why these things were happening since years and never changed.... everyone near him is suffering. But due to gods blessings now I m coming to light from darkness...Now I am learning to save my energy...how to be diplomatic , speak less, following my passion ,my purpose of life.... And also trying to protect others from his torture by giving psychological support... what else I can do... I suffered in a narcissistic cult family for 3 years and all these years i even doubted myself because of worst Gaslighting and smear campaigning by them.After watching your videos especially this i get a huge relief. With the exception of touching dishes, ( oh, no no no ... women's work) You nailed my father's behavior perfectly ~ my mother had no boundaries ~ she'd Wake up as if she'd had 2 pots of coffee, screaming out orders until she died at 85. Christmas Day 2023 7:00 a.m. she came into the guest room, sat in the chair and ordered me to take out the 2 coffee makers to the garbage. I broke all contact that day. She died 6 weeks later. THANK YOU! YOU ARE THE BEST AT SUMMING UP Narcissistic BEHAVIOR !!!!

I have never in my life, seen anyone sleep so quickly, as my ex- husband. I always wondered, "How does he do it?! Especially since he'd just been screaming at me!

Why walk naked in a hail storm when you can stay tranquil and warm in your own space. Since I left my ex, I am enjoying my peace again and am usually able to have a good rest. When I was with him, my eyeballs started spinning before I finished my first cup of coffee from the chaos. Thank you for sharing this video Danish. When I was still living with my parents they still beat me until the age of 21. After each beating and sermon that always took hours to end at times they really have a very good night sleep. I used this moment when I left home at 21. The best coping mechanism that I managed to formulate for my situation is SELF-TALK. Because I realized at an early aged even his relatives sided on them that I only have myself to keep. When I was young I always told myself to keep your composure, you are not insane, you will be alright and grow old not like them, tap myself at the back if you are happy today tomorrow will not be the same chaos is always around the corner, always evaluate your surroundings and always be alert because you are like walking in glass, etc. I remember counting the years up until I graduated college and promise my future old self that I will leave home once I graduated. And I kept that promise to my future self and I left home at the age of 21 when they have a very good night sleep.

This one really was TOO relatable. So much so that I got kind of triggered when re-living my experience with my narc father. He would torture us in the mornings like this. Particularly on the weekends when he didn't have to work. Me and my siblings would always hope to get to sleep in like our friends, because it's the weekend. But no. My dad would shout and yell, turn on all the lights, BLAST his music on his huge speakers sometimes to wake us up. The amount of anxiety this episode triggered is just a testament to how cruel my dad was, and how real that fear/anxiety was. And the deep sadness I also feel for my childhood self is profound. Because he had so little empathy or care for our real need for sleep or a calm voice. Kids do not get enough sleep as it is with how early school starts. He had no clue what we went through emotionally on a day to day basis. He was not very emotionally close to us or involved in our lives, yet he ran our lives like it was some kind of military :(

This sounds like my ex husband because he would complain about life at every meal, when he came home from work he would play music at an unreasonable volume to disturb everyone if we even told him about it- he would tell us to live with it, he would have up and down moods depending on who he was talking to- always an opportunity to talk about us in a negative way to whoever was on the phone, and always yelling for hours each day even during his favorite movies so he could blame us for yelling at us even if we hadn’t opened our mouths. I am so grateful that I don’t live with his schedule anymore.

Thank be to the Lord I have gone through 10 years of conselling and am so whole now, that he can't have a grip on me. This was so true and comical at the same time. Only thing I’m having trouble with is, having images of seeing my children’s mother with another man! That’s literally the one thing keeping me around. I’m confused and tormented by the thoughts and images. Eventhough she’s a cancerous and evil covert narcissist Im literally stuck with leaving her and staying with her out of fear of seeing her with someone else. A part of me says let her go and the other part projects images and I’m in the middle completely confused! I’m the clear definition of a trauma bonded person. And not financially stable enough to be able to leave at the moment.

In early days of my marriage, my husband used to begin his fights just when I was trying to sleep. He somehow knew when I am going into that deep slumber. He would then not let me sleep and begin his childish complaining. The same complain used to go on and on for days on end. And he would insist that I wake up early and prepare his lunchbox. It was pure torture. Glad it is over. But this routine thing is very very real. These are abnormal human beings.

Yes I also have a sleepless problem and something morning fights so sad.
