Yea, i feel the same way with styling aids. I mainly try to mix shea butter and different oils to make my own twisting butter. I have heard good things about the Jane Carter too, I hope it works for you. And thanks for watching.

@Lisa Obiri not necessarily. It helps in the sense that its easier to detangle but what helps most is being gentle and careful with set angling and styling. Also you could so protein treatments

All I do us pour a few drops in the palm of my hand. Touch my ring finger into it and use that to massage my eye makeup. Then I rub the rest into my face if I have on foundation. I have dry skin so the oil is fine to use on it. Then I take q-tips and dip it into the oil to take off mascara. Its messy on your face, but it washes off clean and its moisturizing.

@DatFunkyFro thanks so much for watching, I really am trying to keep it simple, especially approaching the 2year mark. i pretty much use natural oils and one product line that i can depend on. (it just sucks that it cant work for everyone smh) I might make a video talking about how our goals should be toward simplifying our regimens.....thanks for the inspiration girl! -jess

@naturallyblessed13 thanks girl! I used to get coconut oil at walmart too. but this time i got it from iherb.com cuz theres no walmart near school :)

@Tbopeep i got mine at walmart, just look for extra virgin olive oil, if its organic, thats even better. Most stores will have some kind of it, theres no certain brand thats best

@naturallyblessed13 walmart sells coconut oil. there's two brands, though. one is in a yellow container from the brand louana or louann and it's sold near the cooking oils. the other brand is spring valley and it's sold near the pharmacy with the vitamins.

Thanks for sharing. I do see that shea butter is getting pricey and I may stop using it for that reason. I may just start using oils which do go on sale or are cheaper. I finally was able to purchae the Giovanni conditioner,it was on sale at Rite Aid. I hope it works.

I would suggest learning to gently finger detangle and eliminate the use of combs and brushes. Also make sure you are keeping your hair moisturized and your scalp clean. As for growing, I used biotin vitamins which are cheap and made for hair skin and nails. Good Luck!

That 50:50 stuff doesn't like my hair either. I can't even de-tangle with it because it dries fast and becomes a thick paste on my hair. And it has a weird smell.I'm still going to use what I have left but I think this is the last Giovanni I will try. It's the 4th one.

WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

I have been natural for pretty much 2 years and my hair has only grown about an inch. What do you recommend to help retain length/stop breakage?
