Rest easy Skylar. You didn't deserve this. "I acted out of immaturity" is not proper at all. You two planned to murder her and other students overheard their conversation of "Where are we going to hide the body?" Like if you are thinking of murdering someone then you need serious help.
Wait what other people heard them ? I thought they were planning this secretly ? Where did you hear that other people heard them ? Hope you don’t mind me asking and please don’t feel the need to answer that question if it’s too upsetting or anything
@@Unbreakable245 , She has her second chance. She lives while her victim, who was viciously stabbed, is dead. She is alive and that is much more than she deserves. So spare me your selfish ramblings and ask yourself what you would do if the victim was your beloved daughter.
I don't think we need to worry about Shelia getting parole. Nothing she has done to this point has suggested that she's capable of showing enough remorse to be considered safe to release
This case has touched so many people including me way out here in Australia. Mary and Dave are such a lovely couple and what they went thru is unthinkable. If the two killers had been a few years older they would have gotten life without parole in fact many their ages have. Not sure why they got such short sentences. Dave and Mary the world is behind you and wishing you all the best and we will be rooting for you at the next parole hearing and the next. Stay strong everyone. ⭐️🌈to Skykar.
Unfortunately not necessarily here. I wouldn’t have a clue what it would take for them to actually put someone behind bars for life. I know it’d have to be really horrible after watching so many of these and seeing them out 20-25 years later… Kids that murder out in the prime of their life… My own uncle was brutally beat to death and then shot in the back of the head by one of his “friends” children. The boy responsible will be out in the next 5 years (he’s spent 10) if he can behave 🤦♀️ he’ll be somewhere near 30 years old. The boys dad was friends with higher ups in our town and they gave my uncle a bad rap and everyone’s cool with it. It’s so messed up. There’s no justice anymore.
@@justdessertsgaming7609 goodness me, that’s terrible. Why on earth did this kid do that to your poor uncle? What a terrible thing to have to go thru and to keep having to go thru.
@@Soffity they tried to rob him but after killing him they ran out the door. He found some special bills he’d had put back for his grandchildren, a total of less than $8. 🤦♀️ He had a debt he owed and he thought my uncle was his meal ticket. Crap was he could have come to him and asked him and explain he’d got in some trouble and he’d gave it to him. It was so stupid. I’ll never understand.
@@justdessertsgaming7609 how ghastly, really awful for all concerned. Thanks for telling me your story. Sounds a bit like Chandler Halderson, I’m sure his parents would have forgiven him and helped him, his girlfriend was lucky he didn’t kill her as well. He had told just as many lies to her, maybe more. And here she is thinking he will be permanently disabled with a colostomy bag and all she does is try to support and help him.
@@Soffity OMG 😱 I just went and read who he was and all I can think is how could you do that!?! Ti anyone much less the people who did the absolute most for you in life! That is just to awful! And crazy! What could possibly make kids do the things some of them do now? It’s not like they would have murdered him like he did to them. He’s definitely feeling grounded now and his life definitely isn’t any more closer to being on track. I can’t believe he thought he’d get away with it and knowing the way tech is now. There’s just now words for the brothers pain and conflicted feelings I’m sure, my heart goes out to their family. I can’t imagine really. Some of it relates but I couldn’t imagine my brother killing my parents or dying knowing my son was the one doing it. 😢
@@marcjones5989 Well she does in my opinion. She made a bad desicion but she is not incapable of change and if given a chance i think she will also prove to be worthy of release.
@@Unbreakable245 if she can kill someone then grass in the person that helped her she is not to be trusted and is most likely going to commit the same crime again. She should rot!
@FinalVictory a bad decision would be a crime of passion, like in the moment, off her head on drugs if anything. She premeditated this murder for months, she should be in there indefinitely, just like Shelia is
Lenient sentencing for minors became a big thing because the Supreme Court said we can’t automatically sentence juveniles to life without parole in 2012.
She is not a monster. She is a person who made a horrible desicion but she has changed. She deserves a second chance. You should definetly lighten up on her.
@@HorrorMovieQueen I would not speak against her parole because i'd want the parole board to make the desicion itself. They need to stop allowing victims and their families to share their thoughts at parole hearings, it defeats the whole purpose of the parole board. The board should be unbiased and consider the facts, not the victim's family's feelings
@@dhrubokarim8751 She ratted out her girlfriend who also committed the murder and helped the police so she got a deal for second degree murder. She only got 30 years.
@@dhrubokarim8751 she'll only be out then if they continue to credit her days served as 2-for-1. It isn't a guarantee, as it's based off of her behavior - if she acts out, she'd get privileges taken away, or if her infractions are severe enough (think fights, assault, etc) she could accrue additional charges. Try not to think too hard about it, she's in an environment that's set up for failure and five years is a substantial amount of time to wait for her to fuck it up
@@ATRaine I'm hoping her worst nightmare gets put in there, to help with this cause. No way, she deserves to be out in 5 years, hopefully something happens
Its ridiculous that the family has to go through parole hearings. I hope that they dont let her out till she's 80. I hope they consider how awful it would be for them if they were the Neese family.
@@attilafry Rachel DID get mercy. Skylar got none. How dare you spew stupidity and ignorance for a cold-blooded murderer on a public platform. Rachel will be out in 30 years - probably sooner, knowing how most parole boards are. She is LUCKY to have JUST gotten 30 years. It should be more. Your replies are not only ignorant, but pointless - she did get mercy. Think a lot harder before you open that big mouth of yours. You are an insult and an offense to Skylar, her family and friends, the community, and the country with your nonsense.
Something surprises me: Rachel and Shelia are incarcerated for 10 years and there are no interview of these girls in prison.Does someone know why ? Really, I think that an interview , it would be interesting.
I heard that Skylars family sued Rachel and Sheilas family which means the murderers cannot gain any money from Skylars murder (writing a book, giving an interview etc), maybe that is the reason?
You are right I heard that too and saw on a true crime video about skylar. Skylars family sued Rachel and shelias families of wrongful death and they were able to get a settlement which means they can’t make money or do interviews
That’s good for the Neese family!! Anyone remember the Shannon Stafford case back in 2012? Her Ex father in law shot her in Walmart parking lot? I can’t believe her Ex husband didn’t get jail time also..
Yeah but they're still gonna let this calculating, murdering sicko out in her early 30's though. Like how is that fair? she should serve the whole 30 years. She gets out at 32, she'll still be young enough to have a life, career, family etc... everything Skylar didn't get the chance to do cause of her and her nutty sidekick
She should of gotten the same sentence as Shelia which was life in prison. I dont get how just because she confessed after lying to the police for months about what happened and then finally having a come to Jesus moment where she decides to tell the truth somehow warrants her a lesser sentence, it shouldn't. They both planned this for months and then executed it all because they didnt want to friends with Skylar anymore and didnt want their own personal reputation being damaged by Skylar telling people that they were lesbians and in a relationship together. As far as I'm concerned that is the least of these bitches problems, try being a convicted murderer for life and spending what will likely be the rest of your life in prison. If they do get out which I dont think they ever will, they wont be able to get a decent job and no one with the exception of maybe their parents will want anything to do with either one of them. If they really didnt want to be where they are today they should of just cut ties with Skylar and moved on with their lives which is what any decent rational person would do. I have no sympathy for either one of these bitches they knew what they were doing and they had plenty of other options then choosing to do what they did. I not only feel bad for Skylars parents but I feel bad for anyone who considered either one of these bitches friends. I'll be surprised if they still have a single friend.
@@Unbreakable245 The better lesson is sometimes the people you think that are your friends arent really your friends and that not every friendship/relationship is resolvable. None of this is Skylar's or her parents fault by the way I mean Im sure Skylar knew her friendship was Shelia and Rachel was getting toxic but I dont think she ever expected the end result of that to be losing her life. The only people at fault here are Shelia and Rachel they made the decision to do what they did and its just so insane that they honestly thought that they would get away with it. I honestly think even without Rachels confession it wouldnt of been hard to figure out that it was her and Shelia who killed Skylar. I mean when you consider the evidence between all three of the girls social media accounts and the fact that other students witnessed them talking about how much they hated Skylar and wished that she would just die, the fact that they lied so many times to police by telling them the same story over and over again and were the last known people to be seen with her, that not long after they killed Sylar neither of them was concerned that she was missing, I mean its pretty obvious that it was them who did it. The thing that really devestating about this case was that Skylar never deserved any of this and that she just wanted to resolve whatever issues she was having with both girls because she really wanted to stay friends with these girls and that not only were her parents life effected by this but Shelia and Rachels life were too, if they do ever get out which hopefully they never will their chance at living a normal happy successful adult life is pretty much out the window because of their immature narcissm and pettiness and their unwillingness to just move the fuck on with their lives instead of doing what they did. I mean I dont know too many people who will want to hire or associate with a convicted murderer.
@@Unbreakable245 well since they didn't and decided to take her out they have to suffer the consequences, and whats so stupid she end being, with a woman anyway.. Even if they got parole to be a convicted murderer at 16 or 17 will make you a prisoner of your own conscience. What kind of upbringing makes a teenager even contemplate this act of evil? At 16 I was thinking of my first car, labelled footwear and girls. Nowhere near hurting or eliminating those I didn’t like. These girls are evil.
I'm so happy that Rachel Shoaf parole was denied because she and Sheila Eddy didn't give Skylar a second changes for life and it's sad to all of us and Skylar Neese family that they can't hear Skylar laugh or see her smile
Heaven Forbid these girls just find someone else to hang out with. They ended Skylar's Life, as well as their own. The parents of these fools will die while their child is in Prison. That has to be so heartbreaking. I hope they hate themselves every time they look in the mirror.
They need to forgive both the killers for what happened not because the killers deserve it but because Skylar's family deserves peace. Unforgivness will eat at you like a cancer. I know because I've been there. There were alot of people I hated but one day something changed in me and I decided to let it all go. It wasn't easy but through God's grace I was able to do it. Now that all being said should the killers be set free? Absolutely not! They did the crime now do the time.
I imagine that perhaps in time they may feel that way, but it may be way too soon for them. It’s good that you’ve been able to make the peace you needed to move forward. 🙏
Someone can be held responsible for a murder, but that doesn't mean they have to live locked up for the rest of their lives. There was crime and punishment, but now you have to resocialize and live your life freely.
