This Nerf gun is Obviously modeled and Interpreted into Nerf style after the Barett 50. Cal Sniper, on both the size of the rounds and Gun, and also the Range of the gun. The inconsistency isn't helping, though.

Thanks for the review. Looks like I'm sticking with the retaliator. Common ammo+easier to carry+consistent range and accuracy+higher ROF+bigger magazines== a far better nerf gun

The two-stage sound it makes when it's fired (aka the Cha-chunk sound) always makes me smile. Definitely buying this

the mega darts arent realy that new they had them long ago i forget when tho update: im not sure if anyone knows this seeing allthe negativity of this blaster but nerf HAS fixed the deart tearing and jaming issue that was with this blaster. if urs i sthe 1.0 or stock version i sughest calling the number o n the instructions. and just tell them whatever u need to tell them and they will send you a new one that wont jam and shred the darts. im just trying to let more ppl know. i love this blaster now that these issues were fixed.

I was able to make it shoot 106ft by aiming the gun upwards so aim up to get the high distances

When I modded this I made the bolt more stable and it improved it a lot with the constancy

While the video ended up longer than I wanted already, I can tell you that the blaster got much more use than just what you see in the video, and the results were pretty typical. A couple great long shots, but mostly underwhelming short shots, and the short shots got more frequent and even shorter as the darts got more use. In hindsight, it is very telling that this is the first Nerf blaster where Hasbro put an estimated range spread on the back of the box.

Thanks for telling me of the "cha-chunk" noise this thing will make. I plan on getting this soon and I would have thought I broke something or the blaster was doing something that it wasn't supposed to.

I got an Aussie version (detuned for 20 metre, grey trigger), and I do get somewhere between 15 and 20 metres reliably when firing shoulder-height (I'm ~5' 9") it in my backyard, as it goes from the back porch to either just on the rotary clothes line, or sometimes even to the divider posts which are about halfway (a bit over 20m if memory serves) up the block from the back of the house.

That sniper sounds are so good

With the dart inside the dart it doesn't jam at all it really makes it more accerate and it jams less

Usually it's not a good idea, but in the case of most stock Nerf blasters these days they've done a good job designing enough buffering into the system so dry-firing won't really damage anything.

just a hint for anyone who might still want the gun, always fire with the blaster at an up angle. It may not sound like a big diff but it makes the dart a lot farther!

Thanks for making this video. I was really looking forward to this blaster but was hesitant after hearing a lot of not great things and the price tag. I was still probably going to pick it up though. But seeing this and especially hearing that the darts get worn out after one afternoon I definitely won't be buying it. Really disappointed it's not better.

The reason that the shots didn't go very far is because the tip is very heavy, and if you look closely you can see the shots go down just after leaving the barrel. Maybe some extra added weight on the back of the darts can keep it going straight and not going down and maybe go much further.

Man, I love airsoft, I always keep my Airsoft GBB M92 close to my side, but damn, Nerf's body design is pretty dope. Look at that thing, it's huge, Airsoft or water pistols, blank revolvers to Nerf darts, guns are pretty much the best kind of toys ever (and still are). If VCRA allowed spray painting, I'd have a lot of nerf guns.

They've got the range down, now I'd like to see improved accuracy... Nice video BTW

my modified Nerf Elite with zombie darts went 120ft !!! on average flat 80 to 90!!! I did the modification with PVC and a stronger spring!! the suction cup darts don't go far but they are accurate!! to get the distance you need the good Elite darts not beat up..

When I get one, I'll try putting BBs into the rubber tips of the Mega darts. That should hopefully make them a bit more stable.

I wish they would make like, an elite Longshot or Longstrike with the 75 or more foot ranges of the other Elite guns

I got mine from Target. It should be popping up in most stores within the next couple weeks. Fastest way to get it is probably site to store shipping from Walmart's website, because that's how people are getting RapidStrikes right now.

Anyone noticed the fact that this video was released before the blaster in this video was released?

Great vid as always RS!!! but It appears to me that the air 'catches' the dart's holes and brings the dart to the side or down. If this is the case would you or anyone recommend covering up the holes...?

Also when they advertise their Nerf guns they measure them indoors not out so no weather elements can interfere with the guns.

By the way, the MEGA darts aren't new, they actually were used in older NERF blasters, but they kinda died out until the Centurion came out.

I put a elite dart in a mega dart and fired before I saw this and it actually fired really good

I do like some of them beacuse of a new system the Reshell of the recon now shoots pretty well.

Even though you said there was no wind , that's not the only thing wrong with this shooting range test just like a real gun there's many factors to consider wind , temperature , humidity , and how thin the air is where you're located at but I know I'm missing some other factors but thats majority of them.

Funnily enough, Nerf's rails are pretty close to Picatinny spec. If you find a scope mount that clamps from the side (like most do), you can mount whatever you want on them! :D

There have been many red recolorations (stock) of previous nerf guns. The original Magstrike was also mainly red.

I watched all of his vids and made this analysis: If you want a dart once in a while that will get astounding rages, get the Centurion. If you want a pretty good average range, get the Revonix360. If you want your gun to have a good absolute range it will always achieve, get the Lumitron. If you don't care about the ranges as long as the shots are close together, get the Vigilon. If you don't mind a 60 ft. spread from darts as long as the ranges are good, get the Centurion.

I am probably wrong but air pressure and humidity pay a role in accuracy and distance as well as many other small factors.

im from norway and i was in a shop with this and its was 10 of tease and when i did come back after 2 weeks i saw 10 of them and i asked the desk women and she said they havent sold anyone XD

I think I'll try to get my hands on a long shot cs-12 but if I can I'll get the cs-6 because it's more practical, customizable, and cam be made shorter by removing the spare front gun or bipod or the mag in the stock

So Random, what do you think of the Centurion? Most of the videos I have seen, the darts have some extreme air drag which causes the darts to go nuts in flight. Do you think it's worth the $50 price tag as-is?

You should have done the test using the bipod or at least resting the gun on a chair (without the barrel). I think it's possible that the extra weight on the barrel caused you to aim a little lower, thus causing the drastic distance drop.
