In this new narrative campaign Steve takes on the role of Dark Angel Chaplain Brachial who is hunting Fallen Dark Angels in the Neutrilus System of the Cassula Sector. This is a continuation of the story from The Hungering Nexus narrative campaign.

"Shoot bolters in close combat." Stole that from the Space Wolves. Still pissed off that got taken away. We had that rule back in 4e, got it back in 8e, and then they take it away and give it to the traitor chapter.

I was wondering the same! If I pause at just the right moment with the lava back lighting it, I think I can see a wire in the middle of each chain. As its all painted very dark, it blends in really well. So I guess its a case of finding the thinnest wire that can take the weight. I guess the "rocks" are made of foam and weigh next to nothing, most of the weight will be the chain. You can probably use cheap garden wire.

@@commanderstorm8874 I think you're talking about Tensegrity. While it's a great concept, and might make a nice terrain piece, I don't think this is a tensegrity structure.

Beautiful terrain pieces. Does so much to immerse me into the narrative. I also love the DM-style explanations of what is going on. Narrative style campaigns is what makes tabletop wargames great for me.

Really nice campaign with 2 cool players. Steve don't forget you can also fire your plasma into melee because the Fire Discipline applies too all Rapid fire and Assault weapons, bar the Blast one. Really enjoyable nevertheless ! Keep the great work guys !

FYI, Fire Discipline lets you shoot any non-Blast Assault or Rapid Fire weapons in combat, so Steve’s Tactical Squad could have shot its Plasma Gun. (He didn’t need to use a Bolt Pistol.)

Really excited for this campaign and what's to follow, the new narrative rules and direction look really cool too but man... This battle was hard for me to watch. The entire way through it felt like the Necrons were being played purposely bad in order to make the Space Marines look good and no Xenos player wants that for their army. Looking forward to the next battle to see things pick up

@@miniwargaming i was extremely excited for 3, my disappointment probably made me dislike it more than is warranted. 2 is one of my all time favorites, and what got me into tabletop 40k. Do you guys have a store in Welland? Or just a studio. My best friend lives there now, and once Covid is done I'd like to check out MWG when im out there for Turkey hunting.

I think going into melee with a tesla carbine should be like a taser. 6+ should be the +2 hits or -1 AP. Just something to make them more cinematic.

In the first round of shooting from the tactical squad the plasma cannon would of had 3 shots due to the necron warriors being over 6 models.

Did I miss the roster for this mission? My friends and I are starting a new crusade and starting out at 50 PL. Playing DA and was curious on the starting rosters.

It doesn't follow the typically roster-style of Crusade. Steve made a rough 50 PL force, but he has a lot more flexibility on how he can bring them. For example, he can change loadouts and squad sizes, or put the Chaplain on a bike for one game, and on foot for another if he wants. It's more important that he keeps track of what he does bring and their upgrades.

I know that a lot of people like to use Wraithbone to paint Deathwing armour. If you weren't painting that many deathwing, would you say it makes more sense to buy the Wraithbone spray, or grab a base brush and just paint Wraithbone all over?

Just curious as to what happens at 33:25 he rolled 5 inch charge which is halved to 2.5 from the ability then -1 on top which should be 1.5 but he gets in the 2.5 inch range somehow

question about the firing the plasma cannon at 11:36. it is a heavy d3 blast. shouldn't he just had 3 shots and not needed to roll? there were 6+ necrons in the squad which should have given the full number of shots...

Between how Matt does his reanimation to how Luka does it. I think Matt has it right, lay the model down and if it reanimates, stand it back up where it was. This having models move all over the place, so long as they maintain coherence, that Luka does seems totally wrong and against the way the rules are intended.

Honestly, I don't find the "I concede" to be funny, especially based on this army and the campaign that led into this. I love you MWG, but this faction, and the way that Steve played it, were the least interesting to me. That being said, I am a happy vault member and have been for YEARS. I plan on watching and support for years more to come!
