Hey guys. Here are my first impressions of the new Mac Studio Fix fluid foundation. Spoiler alert - this stuff is very, very good. It may even be a teensy bit better than the original. Time will tell. At first glance, they look and perform exactly the same. Let me know if you've tried the new version!

I have tried it and I love it. I am also in the same color. I wanted to mention that I actually mixed the radiance with the new matte to see how it wore and it was beautiful!

I used to wear this when I was in my twenties but I found it looks just too drying on my skin now. I am enjoying the Studio Radiance but realise it might not be enough coverage for some. The Water Weight one is just a step more coverage so I would recommend that as well. I am 57 years old and always like to look fresh and still love my MAC products.

Hi ! Thank you for this video (especially with this type of non-sleeping night!😩 I live the same !!! “Thanks” to hormonal mess !) I totally agree with you : this foundation is great. I used it since 6 weeks now, associated with the Mac mat setting spray, my make up can stay 12 hours - I only have to touch up it during lunch time with a little bit of mac mineralize powder. Hi Sue peri menopause was difficult but thankfully I am well past that stage (started those symptoms at 39 and had my last period at 46, I’m now 52). I had a fairly early menopause but I had an extensive gynae history so I was glad it was gone 😂. Your doctor can be helpful with sleep issues btw during this stage of life and it may be worth making an appointment. I and many others will sympathise with the brain fog due to sleep issues in regard to the hormones however 😂. As to the foundation I haven’t tried this one in the old or new formula. Anything that states it’s matte I stay away from with my extremely dry skin 😂. I did try the studio radiance as a sample (shade matched to NW5), but it wasn’t a favourite for me and looked a bit dry on my skin. I have rosacea and really find a green corrector useful to disguise redness. Many brands make them in a variety of textures and I need less foundation overall to cover it. I only use it on the reddest areas and blend it in prior to using my foundation or tinted moisturiser etc. It does make a big difference and makes me more comfortable/confident in my skin with lighter coverage. As to concealer and my extra dry under eye I apply a second layer of eyecream just before my makeup and that is really helpful re dryness and cakiness. Best wishes x

Hi Lorraine. I'm waiting for my gynae to prescribe something for me. I've had to wait until I got the all clear on my mammogram, which I have, thankfully. I have some more thoughts on this foundation, which I'll share in an upcoming video. One wear test is not enough to form a solid opinion. I find that the Mac foundations are quite changeable, depending on how my skin is behaving during the day! Yes to your eye cream hack. Thank you for sharing 💓

Sorry you had a bad nights sleep 🛌 You look good despite this! Nice to know MAC are continuously trying to improve their formulas. Does the radiance one come with a pump, too? BTW: EA have released a new compact powder foundation. Thinking about giving this one a go next after the gold starting chipping off my EL case only after a couple of weeks 😤

The radiance version comes with a pump. The EA powder foundation sounds good. Let me know if you get it. I'd love to do a full face review of EA. One day. Not good that your EL gold is chipping off. I would expect better!!
