Yes, you were right it kept grinding when I installed mine. I was a bit frustrated but then I took a break and right when I was ready to give up on it. I tried again It took me like 45minutes and kept adjusting the brakes. It works you just gotta keep adjusting the position of your brake pad.
Props on the brake upgrade! If you want an easy way to adjust your brake pads so they're quiet, twist a rubber band around your brake lever with the allen screws loosened up on the calipers. The rubber band will apply braking pressure, so then you just go back and re-tighten the screws on the brake caliper. Then take off the rubber band and you're all set. Sometimes you need to do this once or twice, but usually it's perfect the first time. There is a guy on RU-vid called Scoots that demos this trick, if you wanna check that out.
