Don't worry, no one gets ice cream products at McDonald's. That menu is actually there to prepare people for disappointments in life.

Thanks for giving us an insight of the McDonald’s replacement in Russia. It’s very unfortunate what’s happening with this conflict and I pray for the end of it. Great video!

I am not surprised the products do not taste the same. When McDonald's Canada negotiated to enter Russia, they visited different suppliers (meat, potato, paper products) and found there was no proper supply chain. It took more than 10 years of working with suppliers and teaching them what was needed in the supply chain. They worked with farmers to get them to grow the proper potatoes, meat plants to modernise the production line, etc.

The funniest thing was, “now we don’t have Big Tasty, we don’t have McFlurry, we only have shrimps!” Not sure if we cry or laugh!

I'm pretty sure that no one considers McDonald's an exceptional dining experience. They're just fast and convenient. The only flavors that you get from the burgers are the taste of bread and condiments so it's a familiar disappointment everywhere you go.

In Khabarovsk, the McDonalds was the best I have ever visited. The restaurant was spotless, the employees were wholesome young people and the food was perfect. What was amazing to me was how many different hamburger restaurants there were in Khabarovsk. Even gourmet burgers on fresh bread. The food was very good. Now, if I could only get them to put enough ice in my drink. 😅 Here in America, it is different. I don't eat it.

I find it interesting that Russia is actually abiding by copyright and trademark laws and rebranding everything. I would expect the food quality to continue to go down as the McDonald's stock is used up. You are correct on one thing though; McDonald's really isn't very good food to begin with. Here there are better alternatives like Shake Shack or In-n-out Burger if you want burgers (I'm sure that others have their favorites). McDonald's has mostly been marketed at children and the food has been pretty bland for decades -although their fries are actually pretty good.

Those burgers are like 3x the size of what we get in McDonalds here in Croatia

Was eating at McDonald's, or currently at Tasty Period, expensive for average Russian? I remember in Lithuania, for an average Lithuanian it was expensive to eat there. In contrast, in California it is the cheapest fast-food establishment.

Hang on a minute. You have DOUBLE Big Tasty over there? (Or I should say the off-brand equivalent). Well that already beats actual UK McDonalds. We have no such thing, and anyways over here the Big Tasty is seasonal (they only throw it at us for 6 weeks at a time. Usually around January). Also it uses better cheese than the Quarter Pounder. English just can't be trusted with that amount of food.

I also love McDonalds and also as a shareholder. For breakfast, big breakfast with hot cakes and orange juice. Lunch, big Mac combo and ten piece mcnuggets with BBQ sauce. For dinner, afew McChickens and mango pineapple smoothie.

Hello, is it possible that Mcdonalds leaving Russia was just a marketing move and they didnt leave at all? They just changed the name and logo. After all the food and basically everything is the same except for slight menu changes. I mean how can nuggets look exactly the same? You cannot just order McDonalds Nuggets for your restaurant if you're not McDonalds.

Lots of McDonald's store here in my country Philippines ,every 4 kilometers. Nothing beats the their 🍟 fries. And as for Burgers ,Burger king is my favorite.

What you did with the logo with two "hamburgers" was pretty funny. I've wanted to see Russia for a long time now, but wonder if I'd be allowed to leave. Also as with any country where I don't know the language and travelling by myself, if I was mistakenly arrested for something, I might be stuck in jail.

Thank you for your insight into the "New McDonalds" in Russian, the problem is that I have heard conflicting views on this product. A Moscow Blogger liked it, you clearly don't, so I think I'll just have to wait until I get to Volgograd again and try it for myself.

AFAIK, they don't put mayo on the regular McDonald's burgers here in the USA, they put it on chicken sandwiches and fillet-o-fish (as tartar sauce). You guys getting burgers with the mayo on it is more akin to Whoppers at Burger King (minus the charbroiling of the patties).

I'm from Europe and a few years ago I visited Russia (St. Petersburg) with work. And I also was disappointed when I ordered McDonalds In Russia because the burgers tasted different/ not the same as I was used to in Europe. I was very surprised about that. But the original Russian food I really liked a lot.

Well in my opinion McDonald's in Russia tasted the same as McDonalds' in America both before and after the sanctions/name changes. The one thing that blew my mind was that the prices were super cheap in Russia like when I was a kid in America. On a side note, living in Australia I found McDonald's to taste slightly different on some of their products, in a worse way.

Hi Anastasia, thanks for sharing. Concerning the logo, first thoughts were a dumb place, an animal, at the end I thought this is a swimming sign, don't jump with your head first in unknown waters. They tried to mark a M, but this failed. Not anyway looking like food and do they still have a M in their name? Why a burger shop don't want to show a burger? Concerning McDonald's, my friend the BigMac is a very reliable friend. Everywhere in the world it tastes more or less the same. I prefer it more than Burger King or KFC, sorry :D ...

4:49 'it's the same shit, but more uninteresting' ...... sums it up, 'and no McFlurry' ...... to be fair, the machines that make the McFlurrys are often out of service about about half the time on average over here in the US, because it takes over 3+hours to clean and sanitized them once a day.

Hello Nesty, McDonald's is considered to be fast food only. Not fine dinning. It's not my favorite fast food restaurant. I prefer a place called "Raising Canes Chicken." It's like KFC but 100% better. Do they have restaurants in Russia where a waiter or server will continually refill your drink and clear your table when you finish eating? Just wondering.
