This is exciting, looking forward to your tour and the van looks fantastic. I was interested to see where you go next, I’m hoping to go in June to see my grandfathers grave, he was a Gordon Highlander killed at the age of 20 after Churchill deciding to keep a presence in France after Operation Dynamo. He is buried with another Gordon Highlander at a small village church in Martigny just south of Dieppe.

Hi Mike, I can recommend a small town called Pontorson it is just a short distance to Mont Saint Michel , there is really good Aires and a very good camp site, not sure if camp site open in Feb, nice food markets in town , an ALDi also. Enjoy. Lee & Vikki.

How fabulous to get out on your first proper adventure and at this time of year. Hope the weather is heaps better for you in France than here. No van is perfect. There will always be things that you wish you could change. Personally I think you've gone for the best option especially the bedroom/sitting room area. You have choices as to whether you want a sitting area or the bed up. Fixed beds don't give u that option. My heart swelled when you looked around Canterbury Cathedral. My youngest had his uni graduation ceremony there. An extremely proud family moment. Enjoy your trip and look forward to hearing about it soon. I'm sure Tricia will work her magic and use her sewing skills to make Daphne more homey X

We did the same when working in France. Stay on the quiet roads and you’ll find some great places and many have free electric and services.

Nice to see some bus content at the beginning (I worked for a bus company in the UK 30 years ago). Great video and the tip about the vets might be useful for a friend of ours who might visit us later in the year from up in Leicester. He has a Spaniel. Safe travels over here in France. The north coast is lovely in that part of the world. We stayed near Saint Valery en Caux during the pandemic, which is further west, we really enjoyed it renting a gite nearby.

I hope you have a great time exploring France and the shakedown of the new van is nice and easy. I love the front lounge/office area. A nice place to sit and work, with the use of the drivers seat.

We laughed to see you doing what we did when we visited your charming country, that is, chanting "left" "left" "left", especially at round-abouts and intersections as we're from the US.

It's so good to see you three again! Love the new van! I also like the way you have chosen to travel without using the main motorways and booking up all of the campsites. That can force you to try to follow a deadline and nobody needs that when on a trip such as that. France has many small villages that are delightful. Check out Monets' house if your headed to Giverney. It's well worth the stop and you can stroll the grounds which are lovely. Anway, so good to see you and have good & safe travels.
