Hi. Did you ever pick up 740 Zoomer think, in Toronto? Booming in here in north east PA, around 8 PM local on my old beat up Kaito KA1103. Some pretty good oldies and interesting shows early morning. Happy New Year!
I made it thru and it was great. Carry on listening and sharing Radiodog. Made me think of being a teenager listening to SW on an old valve set way into the night.
Hello my friend. Happy new year to you and yours. Listening to my dad's 1949 zenith transoceanic.still working on all bands. Good to hear from you. Best regards ...Ron. Z. Pgh. Pa.
Hello Tom. Greetings from england🇬🇧🇬🇧 I have just dug out my old trio r1000 which was given to me by my late father in law. I listened to your 1st video a few days ago . You're the only person I've listened to who speaks in plain English. If possible, I would like a few tips on antennas. I have at the moment a horizontal dipole made from rg58. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. God bless and keep you.😀😀😀😀🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧, not a squeak from anywhere. I know that sunspot activity is at its lowest at the moment so, not the high peak. . Again , thank you , Steve
Happy New Year! I made it to the end, your videos are very enjoyable. I don't watch TV anymore, listening to radio and watching long radio videos with chat is much better 👍📻
Tom I watched video to the end thank you for your informative videos and calming demeanor after I leave the political videos for the evening , need to unwind 😂
Good Morning .... and Happy New Year to you! I just recently discovered your channel.... You have inspired me to get back into shortwave... Thank you on the info in your 80 ft antenna video... Have a good day ... Peace to you...
Made it, gladly. Great to hear from you, Tom. When it was WLUP AM 1000, they pronounced it “one thousand.” When I was young (1960s and 70s) it was sometimes marketed as Radio 10 or Big 10.
Rockdog, really enjoyed the DXing with you. Talking about 1040 and WHO/Des Moines. I spent the last 20+ years in Iowa until moving out here to central Washington 2 years ago. So I'm really re-learning the AM band. I haven't been able to pick up any Chicago stations out here (yet). I have gotten 1540 KXEL/Waterloo, IA here and that's 1600 miles. You're much further east than I, so we have totally different AM bands to listen to.
Hello Radiodog, Happy New Year to you, what a pleasure to see you again I missed you. I take this opportunity to thank you for all the information and advice that you have transmitted that helped me a lot to build the 2 SW and MW antennas. Pablo from Switzerland
