@@anthonypc930 Or...and now hear me out on this one....just play fucking ball and stop taunting/trash talking?? I mean, sure the refs go overboard with penalties these days, but he's being paid millions to play American football, not act like a clown on a team that's barely winning lmao.
Exactly. He’ll always make a physical plan and then do what every NBA player does when they dunk on someone or even less, but they gotta make sure that D.K. has at least 1 Taunting. It’s b.s. Like imagine Steve Smith Sr, or TO or OchoCinco in todays game. They’d get fined so much. Like goddamn let the players be humans
@@KDRW-yv9yy Only a Seahawks fan can think this way. Everyone else everywhere considers this guy the worst of the worst. Multi million dollar talent. 5 cent head. The guy is a jerk. Yes, even though he wears the uniform you root for
Its expected for every player to celebrate when their team makes a stunning play like that. That's been the standard bro. Don't matter if ur a starter or not
I see these and am immediately reminded to Monty Python and the Holy Grail: "Now go away or I will taunt you a second time!!" - John Cleese in a dubious french accent!!
Makes no sense to either especially when teammates lightly headbutt each other after a touchdown, they chest bump each other after a touchdown, smack each other on the bum after a touchdown, or the dumbest of penalties if they dare do a little dance after making a touchdown. The ones that really grind my gears is when the refs intentionally get in the way of a player that jumps up and catches the ball and immediately starts running only to have to destroy the run to avoid running the ref over and collides unplanned with another player and the ref throws a flag for unnecessary aggression and a foul against an official and is disqualified from the game. This season and most prior seasons has really solidified my suspicions that NFL refs ultimately are the ones that determine who wins each game. I.E. I can't remember what player or season but I'm almost sure it was this season that a player signaled to a ref to ensure he was in proper formation and the ref signaled back with a thumbs up and as soon as they snapped the ball the same ref threw a flag and whistle and gave the guy a penalty for illegal formation. No joke the butthole did it directly in front of the coaches, fans, and obviously on live tv and right after he threw the flag and whistled he had that evil shit eating smile on his face. Made me want to teleport thru my tv and bish slap that mf because I do believe he costed them a win as they were just a few yards from an easy touchdown with just a few seconds remaining in the 4th quarter.
@@Bigtoaster14 Situations that can incur such a penalty include excessive celebrations after plays, often involving props or multiple players or engaging in taunting against an opponent; a player's purposeful removal of his helmet anywhere in the field of play during or in between plays
If y'all can't see through the phony nature of the NFL after this, and all the other shit they pull, then IDK what to tell you. And it's not just the refs. These players know the rules too, as "professionals." Collectively, they are making billions of dollars as "professionals" to win games, yet they always manage to come up with costly penalties at the exact wrong time. Sometimes it's on the ref, sometimes it's on the player. But collectively, this isn't what an actual sports league looks like. This is what "sports entertainment" looks like. Nobody getting paid 10 million a year (or more or less) repeatedly makes such egregious mistakes. If it were you making that much to make stupid "mistakes" at your job, you would have been fired yesterday, so hard your soul woulda left your body. You'd be lucky if they didn't have you killed. Wake up already.
@@greyghostscsa394 it’s the fact that the refs don’t even know the rules half the time, they’ve been terrible and inconsistent all year. The rule states that a penalty for removing one’s helmet should be called when a player is “in the field of play or in the end zone” and DJ Moore clearly wasn’t in the end zone. There have also been times this year where players remove their helmet in the field of play but don’t get called for anything.
Absolutely agree with drawing a penalty for getting in the officials face or hands on them or late hits out of bounds etc. The rest ...... "sticks and stones may hurt my bones but names will never hurt me". Try watching a game of rugby and see what happens AND the ref is fully respected, touch him and you are sent off
I get that a lot of these taunting calls are soft, but as a player, why would you even test it if you know that it could hurt your team? DJ Moore is a perfect example of this.
@@jacksongregovich3620 If Kansas City can stay out of trouble -- it's clear Mahomes is The Next Man. That said, he's lost at least one ring because his team can't get out of their own way, and probably only won last year when there was no other palatable choice.
That's literally not true, the coaching staff needs to control him before he blows a playoff game or something. They need to hit up Mike Tomlin and ask him what he did to control AB all those years lmao.
Taunting shouldn’t be met with a penality, look at football, after a goal you can practically go into the stands to celebrate and you can do almost everything. Why they can’t celebrate or do taunts is a mystery to me.
They can, but not if the celebration is using field items as props, is abusive towards opponents or fans, and so on. Just celebrate, and drop the rest, and you are good.
they allow fully choreographed multi-man td celebrations, just stop taking your helmet off on the field and and obviously rubbing it in people’s face directly it’s the same way in like every sport man
As a Vikings fan I feel my team has been screwed so many times this 2022-2023 season to the point the NFL needs to start some type of consequence for terrible calls. That goes to all the teams in the franchise getting screwed out of games that literally made them lose cause refs wanted some minutes on the jumbotron
@@RoyalMela When can they remove their helmet. It was after the play, he was off the field. If you look at any sideline shot, most players have no helmet if they are not on the field.
@@ingiford175I haven’t gotten to the clip yet, but if he was off the field then it shouldn’t have been called unless he was coming back into the field. You can’t take it off in the endzone if that’s the one you mean
@@ingiford175 He took it off while on the field (End Zone) then celebrated and went back into the field of play. Regardless you're not allowed to take your helmet off until you are on the sideline which he was not when he not only took his helmet off but then walked around celebrating with his helmet off. There is no ambiguity, he fucked up and cost his team a victory in regulation.
@@Unchainedful but trash talk is a byproduct in this sport. When you look at someone like Conor McGregor, he didn't become popular from just knocking people out, he could talk the talk on top of that. Why else do you think people like Jalen Ramsey are popular? Drama sells.
@@alexvaldivia9718 did they tho that was like a 48 yarder tho you cant blame Moore that should be like work for an NFL kicker the kicker should be fired
@@alexvaldivia9718 he’s an NFL do you not understand 48 yards should be a walk in the park how the kicker make it in the league if he can’t make a 48 yarder dude deserves no job you can’t blame Moore for a kicker who can’t make kick that a college kicker can make what that kicker your family member or sum
I talked a lot of shit about DK Metcalf starting shit and wanting a flag but it was pretty funny when he was like “oh yeah, come on. Come on” to GreenLaw 😂😂
That taunting rule is the biggest and cheapest penalty and should be ban, damn you should be aloud to celebrate a good play or do a little jawing,if a grown man can't handle a little bit of taunting then clearly he shouldn't be playing in a physical sport
Nonsense. These players are pumped with testosterone and adrenaline, are banged up, want to win and that means they have a short fuse. That is why taunting has zero tolerance. You don't want things to get out of hand. Taunting is the easiest and fastest way to start a brawl or having someone hit into hospital.
You may have that backwards the players know they can break the rules . Fight push taunt and get in no major trouble. ... They should lost 10 of salary every they get into a fight or touch a ref
Walker on the Packers needs to keep his hands off the opponent's trainers. A shove to someone trying to prevent being rolled into in this video, and in week 18, he shoves a trainer trying to get to an injured player.
Unless you are physically touching someone/harming someone, these unsportsmanlike or taunting penalties need to go. The “taunting actions” are only executed when it’s at a player, yet you can do in the vicinity of a player and it’s clean (just don’t directly look at him)… makes no sense. Just get the penalty out of the game. “Taunting” fuels more competition and harder playing players knowing someone is on the other side willing to clown them on live television if they don’t give their all… an overall more enjoyable playing and watching experience
Totally agree. Anyone playing any sport that can't take taunting and reacts physically should be shown the exit. It's not the taunter's fault that the target is a pussy.
The rules say different taunting in against the rules. ... Go back to good sportsmanship. ... Or get kicked out of the game. And as far as I concerned should be kicked out of the sport... I bet the ones acting out are juicing
Taunting (verbally) unless its offensive or physical I think should be allowed. it creates rivalry's but healthy ones. Am Australian so not my main sport but I think healthy verbal taunts should be allowed
No, it doesn’t, it creates fights. Too many egos out there and not enough restraint. Too many punks with attitudes. You’re naive if you actually believe that!
@@dmontes133 True. That is why taunting and trash talk is limited to a very minimum. There are always players who want to get even and that leads to some nasty shit.
I really think that when the offense is called for taunting after a play, in addition to the 15 yards, the play should be negated as well (especially if it's a score).
I love how you can kind of tell the difference between guys that just got a bit too hyped up like Metcalf and JJ Watt and guys that are just straight-up thugs like Jamarr Chase
Yes, I agree. It is stupid to celebrate in a way you earn a penalty, or knowing the rule to keep your helmet on you, and still take it off, and get a penalty.
getting a flag for removing your helmet is dumb as hell. They expect you to stand there all stoic after scoring a diving catch with 14 seconds on the clock. usually, i don’t agree with the whole “NO FUN LEAGUE” but like… come on man. The players aren’t allowed to get excited over their own play? even the commentators saying, “let us be the one who get excited.” LIKE wtf? let the players get excited man.
Taking it off during the play I understand. But after the play? What's wrong with taking their helmet off? As long as they're not doing it in a taunting way I wouldn't call the act of taking it off unsportsmanlike.
At the end of the day, it's the rule. It is a veteran player. This is his 5th year in the NFL. I don't agree with the rule at all, I think it's very stupid, but he's been playing long enough he should know it's against the rule
@@calibrexdaoc it’s called football, they trash talk the ENTIRE game. Curse words are spoken on the line all game. Now they point after a play and it’s just over the top? Nah fam, that’s weak.
@@HypedBounty they are professionals, not thugs. Act accordingly. Making motions of signaling is thuggish (shot calling), words set as actions (hence the phrase I used in OP), and being unsportsmanlike has no place.
@@bruhbutton4520 I know what the game is called, you don’t need to repeat it. And trash talking has a time and place, but when their inappropriate and unsporting actions influence and cheapen the game, that’s why people dislike it - and football owners are trying to remove it. Every other better sport has gone lengths to clean up. Football is in the past with antiquated rules and methods.
Taunting has no place first of all. And yes it does impact the game. Hence street talk is such a huge thing and a mind fuck. It’s a slippery slope and removing it fixes a lot of side issues.
@@calibrexdaoc lmao mfs getting trucked over a damn ball and they can’t taunt is wha hurts the players mfs getting paid millions to get fkd up and taunting is the issue 😂 if thats the case cancel football how u tryna make a rough sport soft
@@darkskinz0617 not being able to taunt isn’t hurting the game, if it is, please show how. And they aren’t getting paid to mess people up. If that was true, then hurting people so no competition exists would be happening daily on the field, but it isn’t. And football has been becoming softer over the decades because it has to (too many post career player issues like not being able to speak, lowered average death age compared to other sports, etc)
@@miele6963 I watch these videos with absolute amazement It’s mind boggling the shit NFL fans are accustomed to. As you know the referee is called ‘Sir’ in Rugby. You just have to teach them this when they’re young. Which they don’t do.
@@miele6963 honestly refs need to stop acting like theyre better than everyone else on the field (do you play rugby on a field? Sorry i dont really know much about rugby)
