In the city, away from the falls, there are so many excellent restaurants from casual to fine dining, family owned. If you like Italian,Como Restaurant, Fortuna's , La Haciendas. Can't get enough of their meals!
And we're going to have so much fun because of this video I really appreciate it because all the people that's going to Niagara falls is going to have the best day ever remember what I reply and I hope you have a really great day I know this is not in 2020 the new year for 2020 has passed already in the new year for 2022 is here and I know this reply is in 2022 but I still appreciate it for this video
WONDERFUL video!!! Loved the food sequences and especially that beautiful footage of the American Falls in their illuminated magic. I was just there in early December -- Niagara Falls, so majestic in late autumn. Whom am I kidding, it was winter up there by the first week of December! It snowed overnight ... just powder, but so lovely. Your husband's music is great! I like how it changes dynamics from mystical and moody to a funky tempo when the rapids show. I miss the Upper & Lower Rapids too ... and Luna Island ... and Goat Island. I went off-season, so there was no park trolley and, despite the safety of Niagara Falls State Park, I was too afraid to go alone to Three Sisters' Island. After watching your video and enjoying your enthusiasm, I'll be going back with a friend this year ... in season so that I can ride Maid of the Mist, ride the park trolley and try more of the eateries (many of which were closed when I went, due to the late season). Yes, we'll be mixing the honey garlic with the BBQ sauce and asking the wings to be made to crispy perfection. Thx for the tip. Oh, and so true about the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino (that feather sculpture has special meaning to Indigenous people in what we call America): It sure is fantastic!
For my birthday in a few days we're going to Niagara falls and I really love this video this really helps me look for what we can do because we live in New York and there's not that much stuff to do because we're thinking we can go to the upside down house but that is in Canada
This is an awesome video. 👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you for sharing. My wife and I will be going there for the first time ever to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary and thanks to you we now have an itinerary. It looks like so much fun. Thank you again 😊
Wow I’m looking at my city and it’s just crazy how trash it is to us but to others it’s wonderful 😂 I’m glad you guys had a great time tho..Next time try Avenues (Restaurant + Bar) Sammies( Pizza place) Rapids Bowling(on the weekend) Fuji Grill (Hibachi) 87 Buff(Bar) But where were you guys at 11:52 ???
at 11:52 we were at Gryffon Gastropub! The food was awesome. This was 2 years ago so they were seating some people outside in a tent so the inside of the restaurant wasn't so crowded.
Amazing!!! Niagara Falls looks a bit different since I was there years ago! You did an amazing job with this video, and I truly enjoyed viewing it. Also, thank you for the delicious biscotti!!😋❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I visited Niagara Falls in November 1996 and the maid of the mist wasn’t operating then. They were closed for winter. We did walk over to Goat island and view the falls. I have been back to USA many times since but have never returned to Niagara. I still enjoyed visiting there but it was lovely to experience it all again through your eyes.
Thank you Cheryle! It was pretty chilly when we were there, but we layered up to try the boat ride--worth it! The Cave of the Winds was tempting, but we didn't want to be FREEZING and WET the rest of our day!
Being from Niagara Falls Canada I actually saw some places I have not been to. I loved the room tour at Seneca. Gryphon Pub is amazing. Thank you for a great video and Happy Anniversary!!! Hopefully you guys can come check out the Canadian side soon!!
Thanks so much for watching! Yes, I was very sad to not have been allowed to cross the border, but that just leaves us something new to look forward to on our next visit!
We didn’t go anywhere specifically vegetarian, but the steak Stone and sushi restaurant has a lot of meat free options on their menu… Lots of fresh veggie rolls and some vegetable only entrees
Happy Anniversary guys!! So glad you were able to get away for a few days!! I've been on both sides of the Falls. Loved them equally! Very nice video, thanks for sharing.
If you can't trave,l the next best thing is to visit sites with Anne via RU-vid. Enjoying all that good food vicariously is almost like eating the real thing. Your films of the Falls were spectacular. When your brother saw Beef on Weck you could probably hear him cheer from across the state.
I'm glad your trip was great. I have never been to Niagara Falls, but would like to one day. Thanks for sharing the adventure. The Falls were lovely even on camera. I learned a few things and all the food looked delish. I learned you LOVE you some donuts! Haha Have a great day.
Hahaha yes I DO! Also, we wanted to save our bigger meals for later in the day so I was looking for a smaller (not lighter, obviously lol) breakfast option!
Hey I loved the video!! Taking my wife for her birthday, got a couple questions. How was the traffic ?? And did you walk to most of the site seeing like maid of the mist etc etc??
Hi! Thanks so much-this is one of my favorites. 😊 we had no choice issues with traffic. Parking was included at our hotel and it was about a 10 minute walk to the maid of the mist. We did a lot of walking going from the boat ride over to goat island and back-I think there’s a trolley you can hop on and off to get to specific spots. Just remember we were there last October so I’m assuming it’s more “open” now/probably more crowded. Also we drove to all the restaurants but they’re not far either. Have a wonderful trip!
Thanks for the food tips! Our hotel ( Double tree) had a close up view of the river and you could see the fall mist. We went 2 weeks after you. Going again this week... will look into some of the food places you mentioned. We live in the Poconos.., I saw at the end you live in PA too.
We visited Niagara Falls exactly one year ago. We loved The Maid of the Mist, and we were able to see the illumination of The Falls from the Canadian side, and they were GORGEOUS!!! Loved revisiting The Falls via your trip.
When you get a chance come to the Canaidan side, you'll get more bang for you buck so to speak, l have lived on the Canadian side all my life (60yrs) Since Covid we haven't been able to cross over the the US side, we normally went every week for gas and groceries, different choices on your side. Most people don't relize that there are 3 falls, there is the Horseshoe Falls, then Niagara Falls, and then the small one is the Bridal Falls,
I can't wait for the chance to do that! We couldn't last year due to travel restrictions, but I've heard wonderful things about the Canadian side. I would love a hotel room that actually overlooks the falls.
Oh I hope you have a wonderful time-we sure did! Not sure if you like sushi, but we haven’t had sushi as good as this since. Already thinking about going back! Thanks for watching 😊
Hello. My fiancé and I are headed to the falls next week. Just a couple of questions if you don’t mind, I have never been to the falls. Where did you guys park to look at the colored lights at the falls at night? Did you just park somewhere and walk over to see them? Also, was there anywhere to eat close by to walk to or anything? Thanks for any helpful info you can provide.
Hi! We parked at our hotel (Seneca Niagara Resort) which was about a 10 minute walk to the actual falls. There is also on street parking by the entrance, and I'm sure there are public lots in the area too. Our resort was a casino and had a HUGE lot which you might be able to pay to use for the day. We didn't eat anywhere within walking distance of the falls, but there ARE restaurants within walking distance--maybe do a quick search to see if any of them get good reviews! Have an awesome trip!
Yes! We did all of the Niagara Falls activities in one day, bookended by some eating and gambling :-) There's also a trolley you can ride between each overlook/viewing spot if you don't want to do all the walking in such a short time.
Hi great video! I’m planning on visiting this fall! Quick question, to the maid of the mist could you book your ticket in advance or purchasing them the day of is more ideal? Also, would you know if there’s any wine tasting places??
We didn’t go to any wine tasting places but I know there are some nearby. Some are in Canada though and I’m not sure about current travel restrictions… When we were there we could only buy tickets the day of. We just arrived right when it opened!
@@AnnesFamilyRecipe hi! It's a famous Cuban bake shop/restaurant in South California. To my knowledge it's a family owned business and they got a few branches now only in South California. You can go to their website and order online. I will recommend the meat pies, cheese rolls, chicken croquettes. They come frozen in boxes.
Hi hi so this is no hate at all. Kids can stay there but just not right now because of COVID 19! I stay there all the time and I’m 14. I started going there at the age of 3
Noted! Thank you!! All the signs said no one under 21, and I never realized that was just a covid related restriction. That's good to know, because we definitely want to take our kids someday, and I think they would LOVE that hotel! You're lucky--it's SO pretty!
@@AnnesFamilyRecipe The trip was great and got an upgraded room on the 25th floor overlooking the falls.I did not know there were so many Indian restaurants, and food trucks all over. The buses are free for tourists and even took one into Buffalo, but came right back since there were so many homeless and closed businesses. We did like the food at Anchor Bar and had good pizza, but too many places had a shortage of workers,so it was hit or miss and opened and closed when they felt like. The border was still closed,so not much tourists and the weather was nice and warm, cool at night. The casino started back giving free wine and beer, even if you were not gambling and just sitting at a machine.
Aw I’m sorry to hear that, but I’m glad you told me-I had no idea! I just chose to monetize the video but didn’t customize my ad options...maybe I can go back and pare it down a little?
