If Adam could just figure out to play the straight man and get out of the way of the bit it'd help. Stav is at least able to keep the bit on track and gets the idea.
Adam knows exactly what he's doing. He is playing the role of the guy that gets shit on. Stav can't take it, but Adam plays into it. He didn't used to do this when it started. He was much better but them shitting on him is much better
@@123ghj123ify Bro. You aren't even getting the point being made. Adam actively gets in the way of the bits because he doesn't understand what is going on. He's so self-absorbed in his lady brain he misses the mark. As to him getting shit on? Personally I find that to be the most boring part of the show, by far. The only thing that interests me are Nicks scripted bits and then the resulting improv. Stav does a great job typically of rolling with them. Adam, at his best, stays out of the way and then can facilitate a little here and there while providing support. But Nick and Stav can do the vast majority of it. Adam being jewish provides them some cover for controversial material as do some of his relationships with the left. And he's smart enough to add rich person, big picture, arrogant jewish thinking occasionally that the other two don't have the awareness to understand. However, the reason Adam gets shit on is not some meta comedy. It's to shut him up like you would a yapping child or woman. He doesn't have the awareness to contain himself and then plays along with it as a defense mechanism. They then play long with his play along to keep peace. But the core of the goofing is to shut him the fuck up so he gets out of the way of the real comedy: Nick's scripted bits.
I am gonna make a hot take here. No man had ever liked a musical other than in an effort to impress a woman. This might just speak to my own history, but it feels right.
@@Skullkidjynx probably only doing it because the other gays are. Just like I'm only watching Into the Woods because some gal who was on theater back in high school wanted me to watch it. Admittedly, this leaves one or more proto-gays who actually like musicals.
@@Skullkidjynx only because the proto-gays that came before them have culturally primed them to I'm making a pretty disingenuous argument here tbh, mostly just to say that I don't like musicals aka I don't like my ex who liked musicals and I'm just harassing gay men in the comments now
