Oh what fun to sit and watch all the beautiful Sampler parade on this chilly morning at the coast! No snow though. I have always loved Mary Peacock, haven't done the ebay search, cause I have others to do, but every time I see it....well you know. I love the quirky June Morning so much...it's the colors and such a fun out of the box type sampler that is so interesting... Take care and stay warm!
I love a parade!!! I finished Ann Morrison be a challenge all those eyelets on 56 but you never know eh? I think my 22 is going to be mainly HATS this year so EC it’s my current obsession. All the wips are awesome but the lilies breathtaking.
Thank you for your great wip parade, Nicole. You have so many beautiful projects and lots that I’ve added to my wish list. Your stitching is exquisite and a real joy to see all your lovely pieces.
My Village of HRH took eleven years! Yours looks beautiful. You will get there. They are a really fun but a GIANT stitch. Thanks for sharing your lovely WIPs.
So many beautiful beginnings! Looking forward to seeing some of them finished this year. Unlike many, I am not a fan of WIP parades, but your was lovely. All the best in 2022!
I was so happy to see your WIPs. I had to watch with a pen and tablet because you always inspire me and I love your color choices! I hope you keep them coming. We have the same taste in patterns and colors so it’s always so much fun when you post!
I love seeing your beautiful pieces! I am always surprised by a pattern I am not familiar with. It is great fun. Your progress on Consider the Lilies is inspiring!
Thanks for the wip parade, Nicole! So many beautiful starts! Elizabeth Charnelay is gorgeous. I may have to get that chart and kit her up. Happy New Year! xx, Tricia
I love visiting with you and seeing your beautiful stitching. Some reminds me to bring out and stitch on and Elizabeth Furniss I found at a local LNS and should be here next week. Blessings and happy stitching.
Happy New Year, Nicole! So nice to see your WIP parade, especially Consider the Lilies!!! I thought you were going to say you were half way through with THE BORDER!!! KEEP GOING!!
Loved your WIP parade. Your Hawk Run Hollow is beautiful. I have 3 started, Christmas, Autumn and Villages. My 2022 plan is to work on Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow at least once a week. Happy stitching!
Glad your were able to take some time off! Isn’t it great to be able to stitch or quilt as you want?! I think friendship is so important especially if you have a hobby to share. It’s still cold here. Hopefully we can start our garden soon.
Thanks Nicole, I think I have to get my hands on the Uffindel sampler!🤪it's one thing to see the pictures and another to see part of it stitched. I hope you'll pick that sampler as your focus piece after you finish the sampler you're working on now. I enjoyed your parade!
I’m so glad to see you have not totally abandoned stitching. You have some beautiful project started. I’d like to know what’s the banging/clanging noise on your bags? I usually wear earbuds and I can’t because it’s very loud. Thank you. Happy new year and have a blessed and healthy year 2022.
I think if you were to cover that white board with a piece of batting ,it would work better to show your projects. They wouldn’t slip around so much. Your projects are just beautiful. I never do anything nearly so large.
Nicole, would you explain your decision making when deciding between 36 ct and 40 ct? I've not stitched on higher count linen, and to my mind it's only 4 stitches between the two linens. I watch floss tubes all the time where stitchers will restart going from one to the other. I don't understand. You've got beautiful pieces going that inspire me to keep on stitching and some day I'll get there. Wishing you a very happy and healthy 2022!
I love all your wips! SO beautiful! You talk about each person who designed it or who you saw do it by first name. Unfortunately, I don't know who you are talking about! Lol! I would love to go look at theirs on IG, but I don't know who Carol is or who Laura is, etc. Anyway, beautiful work, and I am so thankful to see you working on them, because the pictures on most charts don't make me want to buy them, but when I see yours, I am sold every time! Do you do your own framing or send them out?
Hi Nicole - amazing WIPs!! I know you love Seraphim, Fibre on a Whim and Lakeside linens...I wonder whether you could possibly suggest alternatives for Lakesides (and now R&R) that I simply cannot get in UK after 18 months of trying? I can easily get Seraphim and Fibre on a Whim here in all counts so would be so grateful for your advice and help. If you agree I could email over to you the linens I cannot find - thanks so much x
Question: do you stitch in hand? I don’t ever see you with q snaps or frames! Just curious. Also, do you start with a pin stitch or cover your back threads? Just curious!
